KINSEY WAS SHAPING UP TO BE FAR MORE SELF-less than Ana could even fathom. Her explanation barely even registered with her, her mind blanking for a moment. "But... that means you won't get to go home." She said dumbly, her brows knitting together. The concept that Kinsey would sacrifice a precious family holiday for a brother who wasn't speaking to her seemed preposterous in her eyes. But, Kinsey's resolute expression silenced Ana after a moment. She looked down at the table, almost apologetically.
"You should." And Ana finished the last gulp of her butterbeer, cheeks bulging. She would be happy anywhere, as long as it wasn't stuck at home. "Sure!" She agreed, hopping from her chair with a clatter of wood and glass as it toppled, spilling a little leftover foam on to the table. She righted it with a shaky laugh. "Let's go before I break something." And she hooked Kinsey's arm, marching them both back out in to the cold, desperate to distract Kinsey from her pressing family decisions. She needed positivity.
