"Well, I've got you on one - I have been to Uruguay, so ha!" Walton smirked as he listened to Odette, whom he noticed was becoming drunk the more she drank. He wondered if at some point she might just take the potion that he had provided. But if not oh well, who was he to stop her from getting drunk. As he sat there and listened to Odette answer his question as to whether or not something was bothering her, Walton thought about what she had said concerning who would want to work all of the time.
He worked quite often but every now and then he would take a vacation just to get away from it all. Granted all of his vacations had ended abruptly as he was needed in some place or another. "I hear you there." He agreed smiling a little bit. "However work is only work if you do not enjoy it. Every now and then you have to take a break from it all and just relax and let your body and mind rest so you can continue doing whatever your job requires." Walton thought back to the last time he had actually taken a break. He had gone to visit a friend in Peru. He was there for no less than a week when he got an urgent message telling him that he had an urgent assignment in Argentina. This had happened two years ago. He hadn't taken a long break since then. And he wasn't going to take another one anytime soon, with the current threat here in England.

"Don't get me wrong," Odette said loudly. "I love my job, but sometimes it is nice to take a break. And since I've become a curse breaker full time," she gestured to their surroundings, the Hog's Head. "This is my break time." The slight disappointment was evident. Odette did wish that she sometimes could get away and have a real vacation. She hadn't in a few years. She sighed as she thought about lounging out on the beach somewhere, away from all goblins or other witches and wizards. The thought was so appealing.
The witch returned her attention to Walton again. "So," she said, setting down her drink now, more interested in talking than drinking - which again, was a first. "Are you strictly just a professor now? Like, you don't do anything in the off season?" She asked. She found the idea of being a teacher to be difficult. What was one to do for the three months of summer? Then again, such a long break didn't sound so bad. Perhaps it was just the idea of having to teach children that sounded difficult.

"Are you strictly just a professor now? Like, you don't do anything in the off season?" Walton could only grin at this and he looked at Odette before answering her question. "No I am not strictly a professor and I never have been." It was the truth, but he couldn't really say much more than that. "Yes I do, do something in the off season." He was not about to tell her what his other job was. It is something that only a few people know about but if pressed he had a good cover story.
Walton noted the disappointment in Odette's voice as she spoke more about her job. But he could hazard a guess he would have to say she was disappointed slightly because of the little vacation time that she got. "All work and no play is never a good thing." He stated as he sat there thinking about some things that didn't really pertain to anything in particular. "So besides work what do you like to do in your free time besides coming to the Hog's Head?" He decided it might be best to steer the conversation in another direction since it was possibly that he might have to use his cover story as to what he did besides teach.

Walton didn't seem to eager to answer Odette's question in full, and that really caught her attention. However, she just smirked. She figured she would get his answer over with and then get to asking him more. To say she wasn't now curious would be false. So Odette shrugged in response. "I've always been an avid Quidditch fan," she replied, not really wanting to go more in depth. She was much more curious about him. "But mostly, my free time is spent here," she gestured around the pub. It was true. Odette's life was dedicated to her job. That, and finding Fenrir, but she felt she didn't need to say that if Walton already knew about it.
"Well," she said, leaning back in her chair to relax. "Tell me what is exactly that you do in the off season," Odette had the smirk on her face the entire time. It hardly left whenever she spoke like this, casual conversation with a drink in hand. "I won't tell anyone, Professor," she said with a mock innocent look on her face. After a second, the smirk returned. She felt she could always get a rise out of others that way, even if it was so obvious she did it jokingly.

"Tell me what is exactly that you do in the off season,...I won't tell anyone, Professor," He let out a laugh as he saw the mock look of innocence on Odette's face. This is exactly they reason why he had come up with a cover story. And now was the time to use it. He sighed before he began. "Well if you insist. During the off season I travel the world, helping people out in anyway that I can. I also use the time to find out more about the dark arts and how to counteract them." That was only a half truth but it would have to work for now. As an International Auror he helped to create spells that would work against any type of dark magic. Some were subtle and other were not so subtle. Some of the spells were considered dark magic, but sometimes you had to fight fire with fire. As it was the only way to counteract certain types of dark magic. However, he was not nor ever will be a fan of having to use dark magic.
"So do you have a favorite quidditch team? And if so which team is it?" He wasn't really going to let her get by with the answer that she spent most of her free time at the Hog's Head. It was a good place to get away but at the same time it wasn't really a place that someone would like to spend most of their free time at. But then yet again Odette wasn't like other people. He mostly kept to himself when he went to grab a drink but every now and then he would talk to people like he was doing now, wanting to get to know people that interested him, especially those that he had taught. It was always great to see what his students were up to after they had left school.

"Sounds fun," Odette said with raised eyebrows. Something in Odette was telling her there was more to the story than that, but Odette was never one to pry. If Walton had wanted to tell her more about his work, she figured he would have. Perhaps it was a "need to know" basis. She left it there.
At Walton's question, Odette shrugged as she set her glass down. "Quiberon Quafflepunchers," she said with a slight smile. "France's team. I fancy Paris quite a bit." She had visited the city many times and it had always captivated her. The night life, particularly had interested Odette. The lights and the people, even the language. "I guess that would be my favorite place that I have visited," she finally answered the question that Walton had asked earlier.

"Sounds fun," That was an understatement if there ever was one. “Oh it is quite fun trust me. But your own job, being a curse breaker can also be quite fun.” Walton knew that he would have to change the subject from work to something else which is why he had asked about quidditch. Granted with all of the questions she asked he smiled and remembered how she was in school, always asking questions about this and that. Maybe in a few years he would go ahead and submit her name for review and evaluation, they could always use more interrogators in the IA. And with the amount of questions that she asked and possibly with some training she could become a very good interrogator.
“Ah the Quafflepunchers, they are a good team.” He stated casually. Paris, France. Walton had visited that city many times in his “travels”. It was a fun city to visit and there was always something to do or see so that one does not get bored. Granted one time he ended up in a duel with some wanted wizards on top of the Eiffel tower. Now that was fun, but also kind of scary, cause you didn’t want to fall off. There wasn’t much room to move around up there when it is you versus five other wizards. But he had gotten them all even the one that fell, he had to dive off himself and catch the guy before apparating them away. Now that was a rush. “Paris is a nice place and I can see why it would be your favorite.” He said while watching Odette and then looking over to the door as someone entered.

Odette simply shrugged. "Sometimes it can be," she said, referring to her own job now. "When you're not dealing with a life or death situation," she looked up at him, smirking wickedly. Odette had always prided herself in her ability to always ask the right questions, always being just the right amount of suspicious. She was really more curious than anything, most of the time, but when it came to Walton Grey, she felt that there was more about him that he wasn't letting on about...
Odette nodded at Walton's agreeing that the Quafflepunchers were a good team. Odette went back to a night she had spent in Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower from her back balcony. Breathing in the air in Paris even felt different, and the feelings she had in that moment came flooding back to her, enhancing her inhebriated state because of the good feelings she got from that memory. Odette was always a happy drunk.
The brunette gave the professor a goofy sort of grin as she watced him look toward the door. She was too distracted by her state to really notice the door at this point. "It is," she said, airily. A hiccup managed to escape her lips as she shrugged sheepishly, the grin still apparent on her face.

"Sometimes it can be… When you're not dealing with a life or death situation," There was a lot of truth in that statement. Doing his job was quite fun even when he was in a difficult situation like combat or something similar. Walton had always and still was willing to do whatever his job in the IA required of him, whether it was ripping information from someone’s mind or dueling them and bring them in, or even having to chase or track someone. Those were always fun, well sometimes.
Walton could tell how drunk Odette was becoming, just from hearing her hiccup and also how she was starting to react to things. Apparently having talked about Paris, France brought back memories for Odette but it provided the distraction that he need to catch her off guard and ask her about what her plan was concerning Fenrir Greyback, for that is why she had changed her name was it not. “So Odette would you mind telling me what you plan on doing when and if you get a hold of Greyback?” Walton asked in a casual tone. He already knew that she probably wanted to kill the bastard/animal for what he had done to Odette’s mother, but it never hurt to ask. He had seen many people in his time get drunk and then open up to most questions that were asked. Also even if they didn’t to a trained eye you could figure out what the answer was just from their body language and the look in their eyes.

Thoughts of Paris flooded Odette's mind. Her flat balcony overlooking the city, with the most perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. That balcony had to be one of her favorite places on Earth. Often times Odette thought about leaving her life in Britain behind to just live out her days happily and peacefully in Paris. But she could never do that... not with Greyback still out there.
Odette took another drink. When Walton spoke, Odette's face twisted into a mix of disgust and sarcastic laughter. "What do you think?" She laughed loudly and sarcastically. "Kill him of course!" She set her glass down and placed her hands in her lap, shrugging. "I hardly think I would be reprimanded for any crime," she said. "In fact, I'm sure I would be rewarded." She stated, sticking her nose up into the air. As she did so, she felt slightly dizzy but she shook it off.
