When Brandon offered to help her write the song—as theoretical as it might have been—Camila was quick to take up his offer. It would be easier, she thought, to put something together that actually sounded good if they could bounce ideas off of one another. Brandon could handle the lyrics, maybe, unless there was a way that she could throw some Spanish into there for some… added flair or something.
"Please," she laughed, grateful for the offer of assistance. It was easier to poke fun at herself for how bad her English was than to get too frustrated over it. Besides, the idea of their putting together a duet of some sort wasn't a bad one, at least in Camila's mind. She hadn't really heard Brandon perform, since he had been leaving the studio as she'd entered, but they could find a way to make something work out. Hopefully, she thought, he would have some good ideas.

Camila seemed pleased at his offer to help her with the song and Brandon was glad. He hadn't wanted to offend her or something, by making her think he didn't think she could do it on her own. He was just trying to be helpful, as he often was. He chuckled, "So do you want to make it a duet or have me just help you with lyrics?" It was her idea after all. Brandon didn't want to run away with it. "Do you want to work on it now or some other time?" As a general rule, Brandon wasn't super busy. He'd be more than willing to meet with a fellow musician. Maybe working with her would help him come up with other ideas for his music style, not that he was struggling with that at all. camila calderón

"So do you want to make it a duet or have me just help you with lyrics?"
Brandon was a musician, not a songwriter. Unless he had been signed to his label as a joke, it made sense to Camila for the song to be a duet of some sort. It would give him some exposure, she thought, if they actually managed to get it released; plus, she did want to hear him. "A duet," Camila nodded. If, for some reason, he wasn't as good as she thought that he probably was, they would just scrap the song entirely.
"Do you want to work on it now or some other time?"
"Now is good?" she asked, although she did need to finish her ice cream before it melted. They might as well work on it, she thought, unless Brandon had somewhere that he needed to be. It didn't matter much to her that ice cream wasn't the greatest thing for her vocal cords; she wasn't about to sing in front of an arena or belt lyrics.

Brandon smiled, nodding when Camila said that she thought it should be a duet. That was nice, that she'd want to share a song with him. Honestly, he hadn't had too much contact with other musicians, but he'd heard that they could be stingy about who they talked to or shared their music with. It made sense, since no one wanted their music to get stolen, but it was nice to know that Camila wasn't that kind of person. She said they should work on it now and Brandon nodded again. "Okay. What if we finish our ice cream first though?" he suggested. He didn't want it to melt, after all. Besides that, he definitely wasn't in any sort of rush. He told Camila he could meet with her today because he didn't have any real plans going on until Rosie got off work, and that didn't happen for a few hours. camila calderón(Maybe we fade out?? Since I don't really wanna create the song haha)

Brandon agreed to work with her on the song then, though he suggested that they finish their ice cream first. She would have to take him up on that offer, too, Camila thought, digging her spoon back into her ice cream.
"Perfect," she laughed. At least where their views on ice cream were concerned, they seemed to be in sync. Hopefully their songwriting abilities would also work out that way.
