BUT IT FEELS LIKE I'VE OPENED MY EYES AGAIN AND THE COLORS ARE GOLDEN AND BRIGHT AGAIN
FEBRUARY 14, 2025 They were already in the second month of the new year, and Tamara was giddy with excitement. After having spent so much of January working late nights, but now that February had entered the picture, things were slowing down. And luckily, this month also including Valentine's Day, which ended up on a Friday. Liam had contacted her the day before and told her that he had made dinner plans for the two of them for the special occasion, and had told her to dress up and meet him out front of the Leaky Cauldron so they could walk together to wherever it was that he had reserved for them. She was giddy with excitement all day and had finished early so that she could head home, take a shower before getting dressed up. Doing her makeup to go with the dress that she had picked for the occasion and slowly curled her hair to perfection. Usually, she allowed her natural waves to show, but this time she curled it perfectly. She slipped into some heels before grabbing her clutch and leaving her tiny apartment that she had rented out in London and made her way to the meet-up place, that wasn't far from her apartment. She arrived, standing before the place and looked around for Liam. @liam || <3

Days like Valentine's Day always intimidated Liam. Sure, he knew that it was the day for couples and love and whatnot, but he never felt like he was good at that. Liam was much better when it came to numbers and figuring things out like potions or whatever. When it came to girls and making them happy, he was lost. At least Tamara knew him. She didn't expect tons from him, but that didn't mean that Liam didn't want to impress her, which was why he told her that he had dinner plans for her tonight.
He'd asked some good friends from work where he should take his girlfriend for dinner. Of course they suggested one of the most expensive places he knew of, but he'd gotten a reservation there and Liam felt like he was ready. He got ready for the date, wearing a suit (which made him feel even more uncomfortable than normal). He smiled when he reached the spot where he and Tamara were supposed to meet up. "You look gorgeous," he muttered as he approached her, gently pushing a lock of her hair behind her ear. "You ready for a nice evening?" Liam asked, though it was obvious she was. Ugh, why did he have such a hard time saying the right thing?

Tamara and surprises, they weren't easy for her to do. If she had planned this evening, Liam would have already known by now. But that was the difference between the two. She enjoyed sharing news, while he was required to keep it in. And she was glad to be surprised; it made her even more giddy for the evening.
It wasn't long in her arrival that he appeared, handsome as ever in a suit and a smile appeared on her face as he told her she looked gorgeous. A blush tinted her olive cheeks as she leaned into his hand slightly when he brushed a strand of hair back. She nodded her head, "I am. Are you going to tell me where we're going or is it a secret until we arrive?" she questioned, biting her bottom lip to hold in the excited questions that were brewing inside her.

Liam couldn't help but smile at Tamara as he looked down at her. Sure, this might be a very cheesy evening for them together, but he was excited to spend it with her. He reached down to take her hand before turning to go and that's when she asked the question. Liam froze, turning to look at her with surprise. He hadn't told her where they were going? "Oh, I thought I already- I mean, it's-" he stammered a few moments before telling her the name of the fancy restaurant. What if she didn't want to go there. "Is that okay?" Liam asked hesitantly. If she'd rather go somewhere else, he would definitely do that. Apparently he was a lot more jittery today than normal. It probably had to do with the fact that today was Valentine's Day and Liam definitely did not consider himself a romantic.

'Oh, I thought I already - I mean, it's- Is that okay?' Tamara drew closer to him, kissing him on the lips and placing her hand gently on his cheat. His stammering and hesitation to speak, while it was cute, made her feel bad. A kiss usually helped. She drew back from his lips and smiled, "It's perfect. And if I'm honest...I do remember you telling me the name...I guess my minds just been all over the place cause of work; I must have forgotten."
She smiled at him, even though her embarrassment of forgetting and nodded her head, "I'm ready if you are," she breathed out, holding out her hand for him to take and lead the way to the restaurant.

Liam relaxed instantly when Tamara kissed him, keeping herself close. Obviously she knew him well enough to know how to calm him down and make him feel better about things like this. He smiled down at her when she pulled away, saying it was perfect. He reached forward, playing with a strand of her hair as she continued, saying she must have forgotten, since he did tell her the name earlier. "That's okay. Sorry, work has me a bit stressed." That wasn't the only thing, but it was easy to blame work because he didn't have to talk about anything really.
He nodded, taking her hand, "I'm always ready to spend time with you." Yes, it was sappy, but also true. He was in love with her, so why try to hide it. "So how has work been going lately?"

She could feel him relax beneath her kiss, and when she pulled back to face him, he was smiling from ear to ear. She smiled, too; it grew bigger as he reached forward and started playing with her hair as she spoke. She enjoyed it when he did that, especially when he randomly did it when she was speaking. She enjoyed having her hair played with, especially when he was gently doing so. She shook her head, "Don't worry," she said softly, rubbing his upper arm as if to attract the stress to herself.
He took her other hand, saying that he was always ready to spend time with her. She giggled, her cheeks burning but luckily not revealing the blush because of her olive complexion. "You're such a sap...I love it, " she said, kissing his cheek quickly. 'So how has work been going lately?' He questioned afterward, and she glanced at him before speaking "It's been getting better. Still busy a bit because of everything that has been happening since the attack over the holiday. But it's been good, thrilling now that I'm no longer an intern."
