Believe it, I see it I know that you can feel it No secrets worth keeping So fool me like I'm dreaming
FEBRUARY 6, 2025 The engagement party for Prissy and Riley was coming up, and Berenice was excited about it. Sure, it was only happening so quickly because of some rumors that were circulating, but the young witch was not going to worry herself. She had gotten lucky, she had dated a handful at Hogwarts before eventually meeting Harrison, another pureblood of a respectable family, and it seemed they were the perfect match and would perfectly combine the two families. They were married and brought two beautiful children into the world because of the ceremony, and she believed that her sister and Riley would do the same, even with these stupid rumors swirling around. The Fudge family were kind and just as respectable, and she had a feeling that Riley wanted his parent's blessing on a wedding. Thus, Priscilla was perfect. She needed a few things from Diagon Alley, and of course, her daughter's dress needed to be fixed because it had ripped due to playing in it, something Leslie knew that she wasn't supposed to do, but that was no matter. It was easily fixed by a seamstress and with haste. Thus, she was well on her way through the alley when she stopped to look inside a window, she smiled lightly at the trinket inside and went to turn to leave the alley and head home, only to run straight into someone. She stumbled back slightly, shaking her head and fixing her dress that she was wearing before looking at the person. She was ready to blame the individual, but quickly held her tongue and narrowed her eyes, "I know you," she all but hissed out. @vik

Diagon Alley was one of Vik's favorite places to hang out, now that he'd come back and joined the wizarding world once more. Even after a few months it still seemed sort of surreal. He'd run into quite a few friends the past few months, met a girl who thrilled him too. Andy. Even just the thought of her made him smile a little. It wasn't like the two of them were officially dating or anything, but he liked her. He wouldn't mind just dating her, if that's what she wanted to. Also, Diagon Alley was the perfect place to catch people unawares. Most people were so busy rushing here or there that they didn't notice when their wallet or watch went missing ... until they needed them, of course. By then Vik was normally long gone. He was standing on the edge of the alley, leaning against a building as he watched the people scrambling down the street, a smirk on his face. Then someone bowled into him, knocking him off the building and Vik looked over, surprised. He hadn't paid any attention to the woman because most people just walked around him when he stood like that. What, was she just entirely oblivious? He recognized her instantly from school. Berenice. She was a Pureblood, a few years older than him. Great. She hissed that she knew him and Vik rolled his eyes, smirking. "Congratulations, that must really be an accomplishment," he muttered sarcastically. He hated people like her, people that thought they were better than everyone else just because of their lineage. @berenice

She wanted to growl in frustration at his sarcastic words but kept herself composed. She had dealt with much more than what he was saying to her now, especially from people like him. She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest as she narrowed her eyes at him.
"Oh Viktor, ever the sarcastic prick," she said in a sickly sweet tone. Rolling her eyes, "Already forgotten me have you?" she questioned. By the way, he was looking at her; she felt as if he did take note of who she was. She was pretty popular in school and was in the same house as him, only graduating ahead of him by a few years. "It's been too long, Vik." @vik

He'd obviously gotten under her skin, but Vik didn't mind that in the slightest. He'd gotten through school annoying her and people like her on purpose. He didn't like dealing with people who thought that they were better than everyone else, but he got used to it. He rolled his eyes, "Like I ever could have forgotten you, Berenice darling," he echoed her tone, offering an entirely fake smile. Why did he have to run into her today? Honestly, he should pay more attention to where he was going. Or something. Maybe he should just go back to hanging out in muggle London ... but it was so much more challenging to steal from witches and wizards. Way more fun. He shook his head, "Naaaaah, I definitely could have made it a few more years easily." Why pretend? He already knew she'd never treat him like one of her elite crowd. Despite who his adoptive parents were. @berenice

Was Berenice surprised that she had found herself annoyed in the presence of Vik? No. She was used to it by now. However, she was a little shock that he had grown up so little. He was older now, no longer a student at Hogwarts, and he was still acting like a child? She wanted to scoff, but that would reveal her inner thoughts.
She rolled her eyes at his tone as he stated that he hadn't forgotten her, crossing her arms over her chest as she narrowed her dark eyes at him. She had never liked him, and probably never will. She clicked her tongue, "No need to be rude Podmore." @vik

Vik debated the idea of simply walking away from Berenice. It wouldn't be polite and his adoptive parents would be ashamed of him if they ever heard about it, but he also knew it was a great way to get under her skin and annoy her. That greatly appealed to him, even though he should be more mature than that at his age. Bleh. What was the point in being mature? She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, definitely looking defensive now and Vik smirked. Good. He was glad that he'd gotten under her skin already. He shrugged, "Why not? You started with the first jab," he commented in an innocent tone. She followed the stereotype of pureblood princess perfectly. Treating other people like crap and expecting them to lie down for it. That wasn't Vik at all, which she should know by now. @berenice
