Flying was one of those things Mazie Pond adored. Seeing as how she wasn't particularly interesting in playing Quidditch (it couldn't be as exciting as Quodpot, could it?), she didn't get the chance to fly as much as she used to. She could join the team just so she could get in the air, but Mazie had plenty of other things to do. She was trying to learn as much as she could about Hogwarts and make up for all the time she'd lost there, being stuck at home during the last semester.
However, right now she was trying to distract herself from her growing feelings for her best friend. She realized over the past month how she felt about him, but at the Valentine's Dance the other day, she discovered that he liked some other girl. Of course he did. So now she was trying to distract herself from it all. She didn't want to think about Jack or the brunette beauty, which meant she was taking Sav up on his offer from the beginning of the semester.
He'd offered to introduce her to Quidditch if she introduced him to Quodpot. It meant she could get flying, so Mazie was finally ready for it. She stood right outside the Pitch, her broom in hand as she waited for Sav to show up. She'd asked him to meet her through owl, because she hadn't seen him yesterday and really didn't want to wait any longer. Hopefully he actually got her letter. Mazie would feel like an idiot if he didn't show up, though she'd shake it off by just going flying on her own.
