Kinsey side-stepped her Stunner with ease, and Priscilla quickly realized her mistake. She would need to corner Kinsey—or achieve the same effect as best she could, given the roundness of the top of the tower—if she planned on hitting her with complete accuracy. She advanced closer to the older girl, watching her to see what she might do in response.
"Expulso!" she tried again, hoping that coming closer to Kinsey would help her accuracy. It didn't; Priscilla was left to watch as the light from her wand passed by Kinsey before she even had to dodge that one, but it also made her more determined to succeed.
Priscilla tried again, this time with another spell. "Diffindo!"

For every step that Priscilla took closer to Kinsey, Kinsey took a step away. She had no intention of making this easier for the other Ravenclaw, especially since she also wasn't planning on firing back. Firing back would be the best way to distract Priscilla, but Kinsey didn't want to attack her. She just wanted to get away. She fired again, but her aim was off that time and Kinsey didn't need to do anything. She kept her want up, silently reinforcing her shield charm by performing it again. She didn't want to be unprotected, but she also didn't want Priscilla to know what she was doing. Priscilla's next spell came straight for Kinsey and she didn't have the time to side-step it. Luckily, the charm merely hit her shield and fizzled out. Kinsey silently reinforced her shield again, with Protego Maxima. She didn't trust Priscilla not to get angrier now. She took another step so her back would be closer to the stairs, though Kinsey tried to make it seem like she was just going in a circle. She didn't need Priscilla to know what her goal was. @priscilla

To Priscilla's frustration, the Severing Charm that she had fired towards Kinsey didn't hit her. Rather, it hit the Shield Charm that Kinsey had put up—and of which Priscilla had been unaware until she watched the spell meant to cut the older girl fizzle out before her eyes.
Kinsey kept moving away from her, so that they were circling around the interior portion of the top of the tower. There was an almost predatory challenge in dealing with a moving target, which Priscilla didn't mind, but there was also a certain joy in knowing that—if her next idea was successful—Kinsey wouldn't be able to defend herself at all.
"Petrificus Totalus!"

The longer they went around like this, the more Kinsey could almost feel Priscilla's irritation rising. The girl's intentions were past extremely violent, and Kinsey felt the distinct need to get away. She knew she could only defend herself for so long and that if she made one mistake, Priscilla would strike and she would be in big trouble. She jumped out of the way, forgetting entirely about her new protection spell when Priscilla shot a spell meant to completely stun her. If something like that actually hit Kinsey, she would be entirely at Priscilla's mercy. She was sweating now, her stomach squirming fiercely, but Kinsey also felt the rush of adrenaline, that would hopefully save her. She heard a bell ring, signifying the end of class and that the next class would begin in about ten minutes. "Priscilla, I have class to go to. I'm sure you do too," Kinsey tried to reason with her. "There might even be a class up here next hour. We should go." She doubted this would work, but Kinsey was trying. She almost had the stairs to her back now. If she could just make it a minute or so longer ... @priscilla (maybe in Priscilla's next one she can hear kids coming up the stairs?)

At the sound of the clock chiming, Priscilla knew that she needed to finish things then and there—as quickly as she could, if Kinsey would allow it.
Kinsey, too, had heard the bell that signaled that the latest class period had just ended, and she used it as an opportunity to come up with an excuse as to why she needed to be let go. "Priscilla, I have class to go to. I'm sure you do too. There might even be a class up here next hour. We should go."
As soon as Kinsey spoke, Priscilla knew that she was probably right about there being an Astronomy class preparing to make their way up the same tower. She kept her wand out, prepared to cast another spell while Kinsey wasn't on her guard, but the sound of what was certainly footsteps coming up the staircase to the tower gave her pause. How much time did she have before the footsteps would reach the top of the stairs? She couldn't allow herself to get caught like this, out of bounds in the Astronomy Tower.

Priscilla's attack paused and Kinsey couldn't help but feel a bit relieved. Maybe the girl would stop this ridiculous duel- if that's what it would be labeled as- and go to class. At least, she didn't say that she was planning anything to the contrary. Kinsey's back was finally to the stairs and she started backing up towards them, not turning her back on Priscilla for a moment. The girl's intentions hadn't waned, though she wasn't shooting spells anymore. Kinsey didn't know what to expect. "They're coming up," Kinsey added, glancing down to the stairs when she heard footsteps and voices. They were probably at the bottom of the staircase, the sounds of their approach echoing up the spiral staircase. Kinsey felt relief flood through her. This should all be over now. @priscilla (Go ahead)

"They're coming up."
Priscilla knew that she had to make a move before she got caught. Kinsey was backing up towards the stairs to start backwards down them before the next class of students reached the top, but Priscilla would be damned if she let the older girl go before her. She needed out of there before anyone else would be aware of their confrontation; it was a shame that she couldn't just Disapparate from the tower.
"Move!" Priscilla commanded, hoping that Kinsey would take the hint and make it down the stairs before they could get in trouble with any teachers or prefects for being in the Astronomy Tower—never mind having a very one-sided duel up there.
When Kinsey didn't move at the speed at which Priscilla thought she should, she took matters into her own hands. Wand pointed at the older girl's chest, she did what she had to do to get her out of her way and cast a Knockback Jinx.

At least Priscilla didn't seem to want to be attacking Kinsey anymore. She looked almost panicked at the thought of other students finding them up there, which Kinsey thought was a little silly, but she wasn't upset. At least the younger girl wasn't still firing jinxes at her or threatening to throw her off the tower. Kinsey made her way to the stop of the staircase, turning her back on Priscilla when she got there. What was the danger now? She heard Priscilla shouting at her to move and Kinsey turned around, quirking an eyebrow at her. Shouting wasn't going to make Kinsey go any faster. The next thing she knew, Priscilla's wand was pointed at her chest and Kinsey was flying backward. She screamed until her head banged against the wall of the tower staircase, then was unnaturally silent as she began rolling down the stairs. Kinsey was blessedly unconscious as her body banged down the steps, hitting the wall of the tower as it turned. When she landed at the bottom, her right arm twisted at an unusual angle, she had two broken ribs, a broken arm, a twisted ankle, internal bleeding and a huge knot on the back of the head, with a gash on her cheek. She was cut up all over her body, and bruises were already forming on her. Kinsey was deathly pale and didn't even moan when she landed, completely unconscious. The first year students at the bottom of the stairs screamed in horror at the sight of her. @priscilla (one more?) penelope raisa bainbridge (find her!)

As Priscilla had anticipated, Kinsey flew backwards, screaming as she hit against the wall on her way down. Realizing from the silence that the older girl was either unconscious or dead—something on which Priscilla wasn't going to check—she moved along the staircase as Kinsey's body descended it—thudding every few inches as she hit the next step and kept going. Priscilla's heart pounded the closer and closer they got to the bottom, remembering the students that they were trying to avoid. Kinsey's body was contorted in ways that weren't natural at all, and Priscilla soon worried about what was going to happen.
The sight of a battered Kinsey met the first-years before Priscilla did, and she heard their screams echo up the staircase. She leaned against the wall, bracing herself momentarily until she could draw up tears from her eyes. Satisfied that she looked distraught enough, which wasn't hard to do when thinking about how mortified she was from a few days prior, she descended to where Kinsey's body laid, unmoving.
"Th-There was a Boggart, and I-I told her to get out of the way, to get d-down from the tower…" Priscilla explained, rubbing her eyes and trying to modify her heavy breathing to garner pity. "But she… didn't listen…"

Penelope's inclination was generally to run away from the sound of screams, but it was unusual to hear screaming near the base of the Astronomy Tower. It was more than just one person screaming; it must have been an entire class of students—first-years, if she had to guess by the pitch of the noise alone. Hoping that it was just another Boggart incident or something that would only strike the first-years as frightening, the Hufflepuff approached with caution. At the bottom of the staircase up to the top of the tower was what looked like a corpse—a crying Priscilla Rosier trailing it.
As she got closer, she realized that the body—although bloodied and bruised and not immediately recognizable, even to her—was her sister. Penelope's own heart nearly stopped at the sight, and she squeezed past a few of the frightened first-years to get closer. "Kinsey!" she shrieked, dropping to her knees and cradling her sister's injured head in her lap.
Penelope's eyes met Priscilla's as she moved to check her sister's wrist for any hint of a pulse. "I-I don't know what you d-did to her," she managed to sputter out, "b-but you n-need to leave!"
