EVER SINCE RUE INGESTED EXPERIMENT six-four-two almost three years ago, she vowed to cut down on psychedelic muggle drugs and potions. Both were harsh, giving the Weiss a comedown she simply didn’t ask for, providing her with a manic state and a mind racked with paranoia. And above all? The effects went on for way too long. Who wanted to be high for almost half a day? Aside from the simple potions she followed in creation and the classic ones that were produced with a new spin to them, Rue always wished to create something new, venture into the unknown. And she could. If she wasn’t so high all the damn time. Club Indigo wasn’t particularly a scene the Weiss would find themselves in, especially because clubbing and partying as a whole wasn’t her forte — evident from New Orleans and all other times she partied by Mina’s side. But this time around, Mina had insisted, saying Club Indigo had improved and the bartenders were a lot hotter now! Not that, that mattered anyway, Rue always preferred women over to men.
The night started easy, just a few drops of a brain enhancer potion, followed with a line or two of dragon scale powder and eventually more drops of her own potions, but she couldn’t remember the names or numbers. Though, it was all mixed with alcohol, which wasn’t really the winning factor at the minute. It was safe to say, none were psychedelic, considering Rue’s brain worked completely fine, but they knew they were wide awake, and completely and utterly aware of their surroundings. They were dancing, at least that was the last thing they were sure of, a body almost pressed against hers but she couldn’t remember who they were or even who Rue was. How long had it been since she got here? And again…Lost Mina like usual. She needed air she concluded, and with an apologetic smile, that was that. The heat radiating from the bodies she tried to slip past only aided in her awareness, letting the Weiss ride the wave of a high and it wasn’t until they managed to escape, fingers reaching to push open the door to let the brisk cold air hit her face. She breathed, head lolling back as the wind took her in now. Merlin…It felt good.
But Merlin…Slowly she felt it. The wave of the high she surfed slowly crashing down. No music to pay attention to, or to let herself free with and the cold surroundings…Rue was on a comedown. A quick rush of one and it was one she didn’t want to have. Further outside they ventured, the cold latching onto every free area of Rue’s skin, nipping away. She even lifted her arms to rub at the goosebumps, hoping to wipe away the nipping feeling but nothing was there to shove. As she walked further into the alleyway, Rue’s stumbled over her own feet, harshly dropping to the ground. Was it possible to be high as hell but drunk also? Maybe it was a new state. Slowly, Rue dragged themselves to rest her head back against bricks, fingers slowly digging into the pocket of her maroon hoodie. Where was…The pass?
The pass was a funny idea started between Rue and Mina, for if the two ever got lost while high or drunk, others could provide help. If they were willing to and not looking to murder anyone that was. The joke of it all was the pass started with the words if found dead, call… ”Shit…” They murmured to themselves, hand falling out of her pocket. Rue sure hoped the stupid piece of paper she left on her countertop before the night began, wasn’t the pass. Maybe sitting here for a few minutes would be fine. It’s not like she was dying anyway. Though, with Rue’s eyes shut closed, head slightly turned to the side, and with the way her legs and arms looked limp, it was most definitely a realistic image of someone who was overdosing. Even if Rue wasn’t.
