▲ Lance had only been back in London for a few days when an invitation to a party arrived in his mail. The Weeklys, an admittedly popular family from Ilvermorny, were hosting. If this had been a few months earlier, Lance would have written a nice letter back to them, explaining why he wouldn’t be attending. But that was the him from a few months ago – now he had an image to uphold. Being added into McCloud’s roster had given him a taste of what he had been missing out on over the last couple of years. Always playing the good guy and being the epitome of proper. He couldn’t refute that being that was a bad thing. It was actually the opposite. He was just tired of having to keep up that appearance for so long and now it was weighing down on him more than ever. Joining the band was easily the best thing that could have happened to him right after graduation, and it was proving to be more lucrative than he imagined. So there he was, standing amongst his former peers at the party. After spending time with the band touring, this sort of house party seemed amateur. It had its own charm though, and he was having a good time so far chatting with his old classmates. There were plenty of things to get caught up since graduation less than a month earlier too. Explaining how he got into a band so quickly and started touring was Lance’s number one topic, though he was disappointed that very few people had heard of McCloud yet. It sort of made sense, in a way. They were still underground for the most part and it was going to take more time to make it real big. It wasn’t like they were the next Camila Calderon or anything. Finishing up a conversation with a couple of Hufflepuffs, Lance worked his way towards the fridge, digging through it to see if there was any beer left in it. He had purposely hidden a bottle behind a gallon of milk earlier in the night just in case, and was glad to see it was still there as his hand found its way to it. Zapping the cap off of it with his wand, he took a long swig of it as his eyes fell across the room. There were still a lot of people here and it didn’t seem like it was anywhere close to winding down. Someone was going to have to do a liquor run at some point though… @adonia ● 429 ● Thnks fr the Mmrs by Fall Out Boy MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Adonia was completely thrilled to get an invite to this party. Well, not officially. But while talking to some old friends the party came up and she was never one to miss a party when she had the opportunity. It was incredibly easy to find people to dance with, flirt with and things to drink, eat and more. After she had made quite a few rounds, she was feeling like it was time for another drink. She was getting a little sick of the fruity shit these kids were drinking. Especially after her time in America, she was definitely more into beer now. She made her way to the fridge and yes, definitely eyed the boy who had just pulled a beer out. She opened the fridge next, looking and finding nothing. She turned to the blonde, cocking her head to one side. "You look familiar," she started, reaching out to take the beer from his hand. She raised a toast and took a swig before holding it back out to him. "You got the last one, huh?"lancelot ray linley

▲ The bottle cap had barely bounced off of the kitchen floor as Lance finished his first sip of the beer when a girl that went into the fridge after him reached out and took the bottle from his hand. He let her do it, caught off guard by the forwardness of the action. From everyone he had seen and talked to that night, she was the only one so far that seemed like she knew what she was doing here. Lance took the bottle back from her after she took a sip, and had to put down another swig to shake off the sudden stupor he found himself in. “I hid the last one to make sure I got it,” he admitted. There was nothing wrong with laying claim to some of the booze at the party, especially if that was all he was going to be drinking throughout the night. It kept him from dipping into the tequila. The night never ended well once he started pouring that. As for her statement about him looking familiar, Lance shrugged. He couldn’t assume that it was because she knew he was in a band, as the more likely answer was that she had seen him around Hogwarts at some point or another over the last few years. There had been so many new students roaming around, even he hadn’t had the time to learn all of their names. “Unless you’ve been to a concert in a seedy underground club somewhere in Amsterdam in the last two months, you probably recognize me from Hogwarts,” Lance explained as he took another sip of the beer before handing it back to her. He admitted that he had hidden the last one to make sure he got it and she nodded, grinning, "that's pretty clever, I oughta bring you to parties to help me out with that," she suggested. She wasn't a fan of mixing drinks, of course, because it wasn't healthy to do so, but after all that tequila and vodka mixed drinks she just wanted that beer... she was sure she couldn't get him to continue sharing though. That was never an issue for her. He shrugged, saying that she could have seem him at a club in the last two months or from Hogwarts. Then he held the beer out to her again and she leaned her free hand against the counter, her exposed shoulder rolling back to get comfortable as she took the beer with her other hand. "If it was a year ago I was all over Amsterdam, but alas, sad I missed you this round," she took a long sip of the beer, taking her time to relish in the taste and the coolness of it. She lowered the bottle and lifted her pointer finger to gentle wipe it across her lips as if she was getting rid of any excess liquid. "Adonia Nystrom. I was there for the tri-wizard tournament," she explained. "I think I recall you... I was good friends with Brandon," she added. lancelot ray linley

▲ Being brought to a party just to hide a few beers seemed excessive, but also hilarious. Lance let out a laugh, which he could barely hear over the thumping of the bass from the no-maj song that was ripping throughout the apartment. “Honestly, I’m surprised they even had any to begin with. Every party I’ve been to that has underage hosts usually only gets the hard stuff. Real go big or go home type of deal. We’re lucky to even have this one.” He wasn’t planning on getting completely trashed – home was just a little too far to stumble back to while blacked out – but the Weekly hosts had done a decent job of keeping things supplied almost to the very end. They had a decent variation of drinks, though he had been more impressed by the food choices. If he was going to consume anything here in excess, it was going to be the color-changing cupcakes or the massive chocolate cake that had mysteriously disappeared a few hours earlier. “Well, it looks like we managed to cross paths again then” Lance said as she introduced herself. The name Adonia didn’t ring any bells for him, but she was definitely familiar. He certainly recalled there being a girl that hung around Brandon a lot, and that was apparently her. “Me too, before he ran off to Durmstrang. We were in the same house together, and he was one of the people that started getting me into music.” Saying it out loud made him realize exactly how much of an influence the guy had on his career. Lance had gone from a sort of groupie of Brandon’s, to taking up the bass to try and notch his own name into whatever was out there. “He’s a good dude. Haven’t seen him in a while though.”
