▲ No dice, it seemed, on getting into Hogwarts to give it a look during the summer. She wanted to have something to do before she was officially named a Cursebreaker and entered the life of perpetual world travel. Plus this was the last chance she had to see the school with Max still there. Then it dawned on her: all she had to do was go during the graduation and sneak away. Or have someone show her around. She was pretty sure there were plenty of professors there now that were former Cursebreakers, and it wasn’t like Renfri was going to get angry at her for wanting to see the castle. Everyone was always hyping up the school as being the best, so she wanted to understand it better. If she had to steal Max away from other people after the ceremony was finished, she would do that too. There were plenty of Greyback siblings now that one or two of them could run a distraction to give her time to slink off into an empty corridor. “Beauxbatons has them,” Dahlia said, though she didn’t know if they actually did or not. Using her former school to brag felt dirty, especially because it had never done anything for her. France was so different than London was, and she assumed that by extension, Hogwarts was as well. While she didn’t know she had siblings during her time at school, the what-if scenario had been playing in her head a lot over the last year and a half. Had her mother decided to live in London instead of Marseilles, Dahlia would have attended Hogwarts and met everyone earlier. She didn’t care if everything else played out in the same way. Simply having that option available to her in the years where she didn’t have anyone would have made a world of difference during her school years. No one at Beauxbatons cared about her. She was a monster. The woman went on to explain that the Board of Governors probably wouldn’t approve a summer visit, causing Dahlia to scrunch up her nose. They sounded like a bunch of old warlocks that hadn’t seen the light of day in years. The type that locked themselves away to rule and hypothesize on what magic truly was. “What about graduation? My sister finishes in the spring. Could she show me around then?” she asked, deciding that was the last she would bring it up if the answer was iffy. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

December 24, 2025 "Beauxbatons has them," said the young woman about the possibility of Hogwarts's holding tours for interested visitors. As Parvati recalled, though, Beauxbatons had never had quite as many security issues as Hogwarts had, and she really had no control over what Hogwarts did or didn't do beyond what her role required of her. She wasn't the school's headmistress, and she wasn't about to get into a debate with a stranger at an event such as that one about whether or not tours of Hogwarts were really all that appropriate. "What about graduation?" the young woman asked her. "My sister finishes in the spring," she explained. "Could she show me around then?" Parvati nodded at that. "Family are always invited for the graduation ceremony." (At least, students were given the option of inviting their family members to Hogwarts for the day so that they could watch as they crossed the Black Lake again as graduates of the school.) "So you would be able to see the school then."dahlia jade leloup

▲ It seemed that, unless there were circumstances that would allow Dahlia to visit Hogwarts prior to Max’s graduation, there really wasn’t anything she could do about it until then. She wasn’t particularly frustrated by it but was certainly disappointed. If she wasn’t able to get a tour of the castle at the graduation, then that was it for her unless another half-sibling appeared out of nowhere. Rhys was pretty good at hunting them down before they suddenly showed up though, or in her case, showed up out of the blue for a job interview and walked away with another family member. All of that was weird the more she thought about it, but she also anticipated something like this could happen, considering their mutual donor’s stomping grounds were predominately in the UK. In that regard, she was the odd one out, similar to Elias. “I have heard so many wonderful things about the castle…but if I have to wait a few more months, so be it,” she shrugged. There wasn’t going to be any time until then anyways, though she had sort of hoped to make it over there one of those field trips the students were allowed once a month. Meeting Max during one of those days was way easier too, and it was fun to watch the students actually having fun. Beauxbatons was so rigid about everything, and she could never imagine them allowing the students to have a few hours once a month to go into a local town to be themselves and to escape from work. Then again, it wasn’t like she would have been welcomed in any groups if that did happen. “I should probably get back to my coworkers, since I’m still under their wings,” Dahlia stated rather stiffly, mocking the way a few of her trainers had spoken to her over the last year or so. It was all well-meaning because not being strict led to injury or death. “Have a good evening.” She nodded her head at the Hogwarts woman before leaving, heading back towards a group of her current and former coworkers. Now that she thought about it, some of them worked at Hogwarts too…maybe they could get her in for a quick tour? MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

December 24, 2025 It was sort of strange to hear someone so interested in seeing what Hogwarts looked like for themselves. It didn't often happen, though Parvati's experience was also somewhat different from most. She had attended Hogwarts, and then she had come back to work there after years of working for a magazine, of all places. She knew what Hogwarts was like, as did most of the people with whom she surrounded herself. Her colleagues at work obviously knew the castle, and most of the members of Ouroboros were at least familiar with it, even if they hadn't attended school there, as she and so many others had. There wasn't anything suspicious about the young woman, apart from her insistence. That was explained enough by her having a sister at the school, though, and she probably just wanted to see what it was like for her to go there. Going and seeing what Hogwarts was like on a typical day didn't sound too incredibly interesting to her, Parvati felt. Life there wasn't a bore, but it was busy. They couldn't conduct tours while students were running around and trying to make sure that they got to their lessons on time without getting sent someplace they didn't intend to go on one of the moving staircases. Hogwarts was… quirky like that. "I'm sure it will be worth the wait," Parvati told her as a word of encouragement. It wouldn't be that long to wait between then and the start of the summer, really. Time would fly, as it had a tendency to do. The young woman sounded a little bit put off, though, as she said that she probably needed to make her way back to her coworkers, since it sounded as though they were technically responsible for her at this ball. "Have a good evening," she added. "Thank you," Parvati replied. "You, too. Happy Christmas." If nothing else, at least she could say that her time there hadn't been uneventful—although hopefully not as consequential as in years past. dahlia jade leloup Fin?
