You never think through what you're gonna do or say We don't worry 'bout tomorrow We just hope for some kind of change 24 DECEMBER 2025 Christmas Holiday was upon them, and Yvette was excited to celebrate it with her family. Her grandmother had made cookies at home, and she had been eating at them as if she were starved. Her grandmother was constantly swatting her hand away from the jar, telling her that she had eaten enough for the day. Perhaps she was right, but it didn't stop her from stealing some here and there when her back was turned. She had even stolen a few for Yvonne, slipping it into her hand with a massive smile on her face. Something was off about Yvonne, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. But the day that the Windsor Ball was announced, she had bound into the bedroom excited and asked Yvonne if she wanted to go. Of course, it took a little bit of bruising to talk her into going, begging her to attend the ball with her, that maybe they would have fun. She agreed, and Yvette couldn't have been happier. That night, the two girls dressed in the dresses they had bought, Yvonne even did Yvette's hair in brilliant curls. Together, the two-headed for the ball, Yvette bouncing with excitement. The minute they arrived, she grabbed onto Yvonne's hands, dragging her inside, "Come on! Pick up those feet!" she giggled towards her sister, wanting her to move her butt faster. MADE BY VEL OF GS

━ callin' it quits now, baby, i'm a wreck━ AH CHRISTMAS. ONE OF THE worst holidays to come by each year and simply remind Yvonne that she was living a life she didn't want to live. As morbid as it sounded. Without her parents and just Yvette and their elder sibling living under the roof of Lila De Snaijer, Yvonne wondered if she could endure the rest of her Hogwarts years under such a happy roof. This year, Lila had made cookies in the home and while Yvette snacked upon most of them, Yvonne refused to touch one, even the ones Yvette had stolen for her, in which she offered back to her twin in return - in fear it was a secret cookie laced with something stupid.
Luckily, both of the twins were spending their Christmas celebrations at the Windsor Christmas Party, an event Yvette simply dragged Yvonne to, the same event Yvonne was unsure if she was even going to attend as she was unsure whether or not to attend with Brody or Gideon, the two male friends in her life in which she felt something equally for. Not that the elder twin would ever admit such a thing.
Doing her sisters' hair for the night, Yvonne kept her own entire simple compared to her sister, pinning it back while she picked out a dress colour choice she wouldn't of dared to be seen in before. Pink. The Slytherin wanted to wear black, much to everyones demise but Lila refused to buy the dress she wanted. So pink was the only option. Holding the skirt of her dress up as they arrived at the ball, Yvonne couldn't help but smile at her sisters excitement, forcing a smile of her own. "Vet...It's right there. It's not going anywhere" Yvonne replied the moment she pulled at her wrist.
The inside was something Yvonne expected, grand and filled with the typical wizardry decorations. There were masses of couples dancing already and others just talking amongst themselves.

You never think through what you're gonna do or say We don't worry 'bout tomorrow We just hope for some kind of change While Yvonne was not entirely thrilled to be going to the party, the same could not be said for the younger twin. That was the difference between Yvonne and Yvette; while they held the same face and first-letter name, they were entirely different. For lack of a better term, Yvonne was somewhat cold, guarded, a loner, the complete opposite of her sister. Yvette was impressionable, always excited, a bubble of energy. They were like yin-and-yang, but Yvonne showed nothing but love to her sister and vice versa. That was why it didn't take much to talk her sister into attending with her; she even got her to do her hair. Yvette was somewhat good at reading her sister, and while she bound with excitement, she could see that the smile her sister showed was forced. "I know, but I wanna see what it looks like inside...I heard it was going to look grand," the brunette sighed in awe as she imagined what the inside of the ball looked like. She imagined a proper, grand, golden attire of the room. And the minute they entered, she was no disappointed; if she knew how to whistle, she would have. "Woooowwww," she breathed in awe as she took it all in, "Isn't it pretty Yvonnie?"MADE BY VEL OF GS

━ callin' it quits now, baby, i'm a wreck━ DESPITE THEIR DIFFERENCES YVONNE KNEW if she had continued to reject her sister, Yvette would have continued to convince her in order to attend anyway. While Yvonne had grown such a cold personality since her parents death she knew she could never reject her sisters wishes, unless such a wish involved Lila. Out of all the love the elder twin kept guarded, she held the most love for her twin. Call it a silly twin's bond, but Yvonne always respected how her sister could be so kind and genuine to others, even if they were the meanest person to her.
Nodding at the reason for her sister's excitement, Yvonne simply allowed Yvette to keep tugging at her wrist, keeping the skirt of her dress up with her free hand instead. From Yvette's choice of words, the elder twin too started to wonder what the ball might of looked like. She actually hadn't been to any sort of ball before and the De Snaijer knew she should've been more than happy at having the opportunity to go to one. But with her mind preoccupied on almost everything else, going anywhere except from her kitchen and up to her room wasn't ideal at all.
As they entered, Yvonne let the skirt of her dress go and gently flattened it out as she walked alongside her sister. Her surprise was expressed through a quiet whistle, smiling over at her sister as she knew Yvette couldn't whistle at all. "It's pretty.." She hummed in agreement, turning her head slowly to look across at the details of just the hallway itself. "Can you imagine what the main hall looks like?..Where everyone is?.." As well as where all the music seemed to come from.

You never think through what you're gonna do or say We don't worry 'bout tomorrow We just hope for some kind of change Even though they had just entered the place where the part was, Yvette was bubbling with excitement she couldn't contain. She was giddy, something that her sister allowed and humored. Yvette was so different from her twin; while they looked exactly alike, they were far from the same. Yvette was bubbly, happy even though they had lost so much. Yvonne was hardened by it all, almost maturing herself past their age. Vonnie was the one that looked out for Yvette, and while she was glad for that sisterly love, she wanted her sister to have fun. 'It's pretty...Can you imagine what the main hall looks like? Where everyone is?' She knew that her sister was in agreement with the way the place looked, and her eyes lit up. "Well, let's get going and actually see it. I don't even want to imagine it at this point. I'm ready to be left in awe..." she breathed out, tugging on her sister's hand. She didn't want to cause the both of them to lose their footing in the dresses and heels. MADE BY VEL OF GS

━ callin' it quits now, baby, i'm a wreck━ LETTING HER SISTER GET ALL of her excitement out, Yvonne couldn't help but continue to laugh at her sisters babbles and actions. Yvette had always been such a cheerful person when compared to Yvonne and it was those minor differences between the two of them that made Yvonne realise how much she loved her sister. Though it was also seemingly sad for the elder twin, considering how much she had grown in a short-time span while Yvette continued to live out her childhood days as she rightfully should.
With Yvette tugging at her hand again, in a demand to see the main hall, Yvonne laughed once more and used her free hand to pick up at her skirt and head in the direction everyone walked towards. With the two of them rushing in eagerness, Yvonne gently pushed at the door before the doormen opened it wider for the two sisters. Awe hit Yvonne quick, as her mouth began to part while her eyes twinkled, similarly to her sisters. "Holy crap.." The music was louder there and everyone was either talking or dancing amongst themselves. Yvonne already began to see people that she knew, gently nodding her head in their direction when they too noticed the two De Snaijer's.
