Many people questioned Emrys and Noah's friendship. They were an unlikely pair. Emrys, the flamboyant, vain, party boy. Noah, the quiet, chill, antisocial boy. And yet it worked. Because Emrys made Noah socialize and Noah made sure Emrys didn't kill himself or someone else. Though it also helped that Emrys was one of the few people that knew "who" Noah was. One of the few Noah had let in on the secret. It also worked well whenever Noah had to go to some event for the label. Emrys would come and Noah could just be "the best friend".
After working a very early shift at the cafe, Noah had decided to pay his friend a visit. Knowing his routine, he knew that Emrys would just be waking up (Emrys was a bit of a night owl). So, with a pair of coffees in hand and a bag of breakfast pastries, he apparated to a secluded spot near his friend's apartment then walked the rest of the way. The doormen knew Noah so they didn't stop him. As he reached the penthouse though, he was surprised to find two body guards at the door. Well, that wasn't good. Usually Emrys didn't have bodyguards in the building. It only happened when he had an overzealous fan or when he got in serious trouble with his aunt. Knowing Emrys, Noah was leaning more towards the second options. Thankfully the body guards knew who Noah was, and he was on the "approved visitors" list. Charlotta thought Noah was a good influence on her nephew, so she didn't try to stop him often. While Noah doubted he had any influence on Emrys he was at least able to keep him out of some truly bad situations. He helped Emrys from tipping over the edge.
So, with a knock and spare key (because Noah was always welcome at his friend's), Noah let himself in. He didn't see any sign of Emrys yet, but he was probably still up in bed or something. "What did you do this time?" He called out to announce his presence. He set the coffees and breakfast pastries down on the kitchen counter.

Many in Emrys' circles questioned his relationship with the soft-spoken Noah. Much to their shock, the two boys were not involved in any romantic sense. The two were simply good friends. This was something that was in short supply in the young vampires life. They balanced each other out nicely. And if nothing else, Emrys would listen to him and respected his opinion far above most others. He helped Noah socialize more, and go out, and while out, his friend ensured that things didn't get too out of hand. Knowing his friends secret also had it's benefits. To the general public, Noah was his good friend, and that was why he was invited to the star studded events. But in reality, he was also a celebrity.
After the holidays, Emrys had been placed under "manager enforced house arrest." His punishment was to complete translating his already made and released songs into both Dutch and Finnish, at least, those that he hadn't done already. He had spent most of the night, by the light of the large, decorated Christmas tree and the night air from his open balcony to work by. Just before the sun rose, he closed everything up, letting all the curtains fall against the windows and he made his way to his large comfortable bed. Waking up in the early afternoon Emrys groggily walked around wearing only a pair of pajama pants as he made shuffled himself down the stairs from his loft room to his kitchen. What was the point in being up yet? Well, he was hungry. Quick drink and maybe he'd spend the rest of the day in bed working on the words. Forbidden to have company, Emrys was already feeling anxious and a tad bit lonely. The boy knew that there was a locked ice chest that held his stash of blood, and while he would need to have some, in time, he opted to find some real food. Most the holiday sweets had already been eaten from when they were brought in earlier in the month. Perhaps he could get another delivery of sweets and some other food soon. Knowing that he couldn't leave, remembering the round-the-clock muscle that his Aunt employed and instructed to not let him out. With a sigh, Emrys closed everything an shifted into a bat. Flying back up he transformed back just above his bed. Flopping back into the soft sheets he closed his eyes.
He knew that the sooner he translated things the better, but he just wasn't feeling to today. As he lay there, eyes closed, breath deepening, he heard a knock along with the sound of a key. There were only two people that the front desk didn't text him about. He hadn't herd anything from his phone. But to his knowledge there were only two people that he had given a key to. When he expected company, he kept the door unlocked, or was prepared to answer it. He rolled his eyes, thinking it was his aunt, here to check up on him and remind him what he had done and why he was being punished. Most of his other friends were forbidden, and would be stopped by his body guards. To his surprise, he hard the voice of his best friend, Noah. With a smile and a stretch, Emrys got out of bed and looked down from his balcony. Seeing that the man had brought gifts, Emrys grabbed the closest shirt, putting it back on he made his way down the stairs, instantly feeling less groggy. "You missed a great party, at the ball. It was a real ragger." He said as he got to the kitchen to greet his friend.

It took only a moment for his friend to come, summoned by Noah's voice and hopefully the prospect of exceptionally well made coffee. Sure, most people thought he was "ambitiousless" for his day job as a barista but he liked it. It was something simple, and mostly stress free (the only stress coming from Karens that didn't like that you stirred their coffee clockwise instead of counterclockwise.). Emrys knew about his music though, and that Noah didn't actually need the money. Plus, if he did ever date anyone again he could impress them with his great coffee making skills.
Emrys came down the stairs and Noah took up the coffee meant for himself (the other for Emrys), leaned against the counter, and took a sip. Ah, the ball. Yeah, Noah had ditched on that bullshit. He would deal with parties and things, but something that grand? Nah. You could barely get him a tie, let alone a tux. "Oh yeah? Must have been to get two babysitters." Of course, by baby sitters he meant the body guards outside the door. "Doesn't answer what you did to get them though." No doubt Emrys had caused some sort of scandal. It was practically in Emrys' blood. It was odd. They were complete polar opposites in that way. He was always in the tabloids, where as Noah's musical alias "Erik" was a phantom. The only news he ever heard about himself was theories on who he was, or an imposter being outed.

Unlike Emrys, who partied hard, and strived to have fun all the time, Noah had a side job to his music. Both were quite successful, and both had chosen to do different things with their spare time. He figured that it was partially to keep up the separation between Noah and his alter ego, Erik. Though what ever the reasoning was, Emrys cared for his friend, and supported his decisions.
Coming down from his loft room, he saw the bag, hopefully pastries, and two coffee's, one on the counter, and one his his friends hand. "I think my aunt is over reacting." He casually shrugged, though he knew that he had caused quite a scene. He couldn't help it. He reached the counter, taking the other container with a smile. Drinking the overly sweet liquid. "You're too good to me" He said with a smile and a wink. His friend knew exactly what he liked. "Honestly all I did was invite Maria." He said, resuming the first question of what he actually did to warrant two babysitters outside his door. "How was I supposed to know that some lover of hers would come up." He said in a nonchalant, matter of fact way. It was a no brainer, that the woman would be dressed scandalously, and while that was a factor, the real "scandal" was when the panfuly strait, and no fun man came up to them. It was so much fun. Emrys couldn't help but mile wickedly as he remembered such a good time only days before.
