Deva knew perfectly how foolish her actions were. Her father didn't even like her drinking more than wine and definitively did not want to see her drunk. The idea of her dad seeing her in the state she knew she'd be in soon was harrowing, yet Bjorn brought it out in her. Her father definitively wouldn't appreciate that, so she pretended he was just a sailor, as she had believed him to be when they first met. She knew better by now and the occasional glimpse at the illegal work he did didn't bother her quite so much any longer. She could pretend he had permits, tell herself it was all legal as long as it wasn't anything that couldn't be legalised anywhere. No doubt Ri made it illegally, Bjorn had spelled it out but she ignored that and pretended he lied that Ri had a permit somewhere. Naturally she knew she was lying to herself, but it gave her a solid excuse not to feel an urge to turn him in. Wanted or not, she was now long since an accomplice in minor crime. Even knowing his profession did that. She smiled slightly. "I wouldn't be that foolish." She assured him with a smile.
She shook her head as he promised her nothing bad. "Just nothing that I can't pretend is legal and certainly not major crimes. I love you and I know exactly what kind of work you do, I just need to keep plausible deniability." It was easier like that. "You don't have to go out of your way to hide things you can forge paperwork for." Naturally he'd know she didn't want to know the paperwork was forged, since that would mean she knew.
The moment he asked Ri how long until he'd have to ban her from the deck she gave him a bit of a pouty glare and squeezed his hand, but there was no malice. Try though she might, she couldn't stay angry or upset with him for long. If she'd been able to she never really could have dated him. The pirate stuff would have gotten between them long ago. Still, she leaned her head against his chest. "I'll be fine." She muttered softly. "I'm no stranger to the ship anymore. I can find my way to your quarters if needed." It'd hit soon, and hard and she was more worried about making him look bad than falling off the ship.
@cashel @bjorn Note: Luth blew Ri a kiss after being flipped the bird and then walked off, grinning and chuckling.

The soft, innocent, stupid girl took quite a gulp. It was not advised with the magical mixture. Especially if it was your first time. Ri and Bjorn had built a sort of tolerance to it. And even when working on improving the flavor, Ri opted the mushroom out until he was satisfied. This helped so that he could test more without fuzzy, colorful visions dancing around. She didn't seem like the type to have a strong stomach for alcohol, though he could be wrong. By the expression on Bjorn's face, it was just as suppressed as Ri was.
Glad to have the flask back in his hands, Ri noted the flirtatious action of the crew mate. They both knew what was going to happen later. It was normal for them. His attention was brought back to the captain as he was asked how long the lovely lady had until the truck hit her. He thought about it, mushroom percentage, along with high percentage of alcohol he shrugged "I'd give it fifteen to twenty minutes, depending on her constitution. Maybe sooner, depending on how her body reacts to the mushroom." He shrugged, it wasn't an exact science. It had been hard to find just the right amount of mushroom to alcohol to liquid ratio to make the drink tolerable, but still give a satisfied drunk high. The woman said she was fine, but he was sure that it would no doubt take effect. Luckily up in the air, there was less natural sway from waves, like there was when on the ocean.

Early December 2025 @deva & @cashel
Bjorn snorted as Deva responded about just needing plausible deniability. Was he corrupting her? He felt he was. Especially when she added forging paperwork. Intentional ignorance was what she wanted, apparently. Fully knowing that anything work related for him could be illegal, but with a good enough excuse to pretend it was legal. He shook his head, amused by her willingness to deny the truth as long as he gave her a good enough excuse. "I'm very good at pretending my work is legal." he answered. It was true. HE hadn't even told her that the visa he'd used to get into the UK during the quarantine had been forged yet. He probably wouldn't like that, so he kept it to himself.
He moved partially behind Deva, placing a hand at her waist to pull her back to himself if it hit her too quickly. He didn't want any accidents happening after all. Plus, he loved being close to the woman. Her impending drug induced haze was an excellent excuse to stay close. He gave her a look at she tried to argue, saying she'd be fine. "Please, I'm sparing you the embarrassment every crewmate goes through when trying Ri's poison for the first time." IT was true that they'd used the moonshine to haze a few new crewmates before.. He wouldn't deny it. He wouldn't let his crew see Deva in that state, however. As he didn't know how she might react when under the affects of the drug. Some people reacted differently. He glanced to Ri. "Don't you have a few weaker bottles? We can build her tolerance with those."

Deva knew she'd made a mistake, but she wasn't going to admit it. The pirate that had supplied the drink seemed to not expect her to last very long but she wasn't about to pretend he was wrong. He probably was, but more in overestimating her. She could hold her liquor relatively well, although she usually went slower and often a good whiskey was about the strongest she took, although various types of rum had started to creep up over time as she'd started to get to know Bjorn. Alcohol and pirates went together very well. Deva and alcohol? Not quite as well, although not all that poorly either under normal circumstances. This clearly wasn't normal. Her heart was still pounding in her chest a bit due to the fright she'd suffered when she thought Ri had been plummeting to his death so she knew the adrenaline probably would cause the alcohol to be taken up in her system a lot faster. Not very promising.
Still Bjorns arms around her secured her and made her feel safe. She instantly felt herself smiling, although she nudged him in mock irritation. "I'm still mad at you." She lied, although it wasn't in the least convincing. Ri was okay, which was the most important detail. Not just that, he was completely unphased and actually seemed to have enjoyed the experience. He told her he tried to spare her and she snorted for a moment. "I think that ship sailed the moment you scared me to death by pushing him off." She muttered, chuckling at the notion any of the crewmembers had any respect for her after that. They probably thought she was silly with little constitution for their ways and had no space on board. Well, luckily they didn't have a say in it. Then he mentioned weaker bottles to Ri and Deva actually found herself pouting slightly. "I'll be fine!" She argued again, even though she could already feel the buzz of the alcohol starting to hit.
She sighed and looked at her feet, a little worried. Then she felt the spirit of defiance crawl over her again so she turned in Bjorns arms, standing on tiptoes to give him a kiss before stepping off and walking a few feet away. That was when the colours hit. She slowed down and blinked a few times, staring at the sky in pure wonder. It was beautiful! She could see a vast expanse of universes stretching out above her. She smiled slowly and giggled for a moment before jogging to the edge of the ship, leaning over slightly to look into the whirlpool of the void below. It was even more beautiful than she'd expected. From beyond the void she could almost hear laughter and music washing over, although she wasn't exactly tempted to see the party they were having. She just wanted to see a litte bit, lift the veil that reality seemed to put in front of her eyes. She felt a little bit dizzy, but she figured that had more to do with the swirling of the void and the sky than the booze. Nothing around her was moving after all. It was like they were all locked in one moment in time. She smiled lazily, mesmerized completely and utterly by the many shapes and colours around her. No wonder Ri liked the drink so much. It was beautiful.

Ri watched the woman, waiting for the moment when the mushrooms took affect. Many crew mates were hazed by the substance. They would eventually build up a tolerance, but when they first started, it would hit hard, and many regretted what happened as it took over.
Bjorn finally looked to Ri, asking for any weaker bottles. It wasn't unheard of, he started many of his clients off with weaker mushroom doses, building up to the amount he normal made. He had to think about it. As he thought, the woman insisted that she would be fine. Though he was sure that she would have a different opinion shortly. There was a small soring area that he kept the product once made, before delivery. "I'll make some" He knew that he didn't have any currently made, lower dosed bottles weren't commonly made at the moment, but wouldn't be an issue. He would be sure to make some up before he started his latest trial batch.
A bit earlier than expected, he saw it. It was in her eyes, the wonder and majesty of the world amplified. She had definitely not had many mushrooms in her past. It was almost funny. She pulled away from her love and moved to the edge. He followed her movements, ready for anything. The edge of the ship was tempting to all, they could see the world in ways that they had never realized. But the edge of the ship was dangerous for just about everyone but Ri.

Early December 2025 @deva & @cashel
Deva was trying to look and sound angry, but she wasn't doing a good job of it anymore. Now that she'd realized what was going on. Though, her attempt was cute. Bjorn just shrugged as she scolded him, telling him she was still mad at him, then went on to mention scaring her to death. Though... he did feel bad about that. "You should try pushing him sometime. It's therapeutic," was her rather cocky answer. It really was. Especially when Ri wasn't expecting it. Though Bjorn was smart about it. He never pushed Ri if he knew the pirate was intoxicated by his moonshine. Because the fool couldn't fly drunk.
Rather quickly Deva turned in his arms to face him, giving him a quick kiss before pulling away. Bjorn exhaled slowly, though he had an expression of forced restraint, and slight amusement. He was close behind her though, waiting for when he might have to yank her back. He didn't have to wait long. He gave Ri a knowing look. Deva's expression had just changed to a very familiar one. The look of when the mushrooms finally hit. Though, Deva had already moved to the edge of the ship when he saw it and was leaning over the edge. Bjorn moved without even thinking and immediately caught her around the waist. He didn't pull her back, but held tight, so there was no way of her falling... or pulling out of his grasp again. Might as well let her enjoy the moment, as she clearly was. But enjoying it didn't mean he was going to let her pull any stunts on him.
(.... I thought we ended this a while ago >.>)

She glared at him with as much ferocity as she could manage as he suggested she herself push the man of the ship at some point. It supposedly was therapeutic but that idea alone was completely insane to her. How could jokingly murder somebody be therapeutic, even if they didn't die? She guessed it was mostly because she lacked the needed aggression in her system to enjoy semi-violent outbursts of any nature for herself. Baking cookies and cakes was far more therapeutic, although nothing really beat cleaning for her. There was little so satisfying as taking a truly filthy surface or object and managing to get rid of all the dirt on it. The shine of clean along with flushing the dirty water down the sink was one of the most wholesome kinds of therapy she'd ever experienced. Washing away the dirt, so to speak. She much preffered that to pushing people off ships.
It was strange, how the world seemed to have changed and yet was still the same old world the knew. Her senses seemed sharper and her eyes saw more, as if colours were more intense and patterns that had previously been hidden to her were suddenly revealed. She felt safe here on the ship where she knew nothing could hurt her. For starters, Bjorn would never allow it. Secondly, the world was far too beautiful a place to show her the darkness in that moment. She felt dizzy, but the spinning of the world was not the same. It caused a different effect this time and the kaleidoscope that unfolded in the ocean below was a miracle she could easily watch for hours.Yet she was distracted as she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, like a tether to the ever distorting reality. She turned within his arms and looked into his eyes, searching their colourful depths for that love that shone so clearly in them most of the time. It was easy to find, even behind the veil of concern that clouded his face. She softly stroked his face and in a hushed tone chided him. "No concerns Captain. I think the universe is on my side today. I looked into the void and it was beautiful and full of life." She whispered with a faint smile, as if she was unfolding one of the many secrets of the earth to him. "It's all a blur, the world, sea and sky. Everything is a blur of eternal movement, except for you." She said with a small giggle. "You're solid, and the wind doesn't seem to try to blow your features away from me." She mused as she studied his face intently, absolutely mesmerised by what she saw.

Bjorn mentioned that she could push Ri off if she wanted. The druid didn't mind too much, though it was usually only the captain who did it on the ship. Sure Luthien played that sometime, but they had their own arrangement.
He watched the woman as the drink took effect. he could see her eyes light up and knew all too well what she was seeing. It was how he had managed to survive the past five years. Ri constantly had the buzz of alcohol and mushrooms in his system. The amount varied from time to time, but it was ever present. The more he had in his system, the harder it was to fly, but either way, he could still function as a member of the crew. She then started to talk. It was familiar to him. Mainlanders who visited Hy-Brasil and took the mushrooms for the first time often had the same reactions.
With that, Ri started to walk away. Bjorn will be able to take care of the rest.
@bjorn @deva OOC: you can stop him if needed/wanted.
