▲ “This would literally be the worst place to try and do that,” Charlie matched her sister’s lowered voice. “The plants would rat me out immediately. They can do that right, talk to plants?” She had been wondering if all the positive vibes the druids gave off was why the flora growth here was so wild and abundant. That or it was the magical nutrients. They had sort of mentioned that at some point during the day. One couldn’t just grow a giant tree that people lived in overnight after all. “It might get me out of school faster if they see I can take their NEWT level classes without problems. I really don’t want to have to readjust back to Ilvermorny if it’s ready next year…” The back and forth was getting exhausting, and either being able to stay at Hogwarts and finishing school here or being done a year early would be amazing. Who could honestly want to go back home and do another two semesters of school anyways? It seemed like a waste at this point. A fountain of youth! That was basically what she was eluding to. “They’d probably confiscate it before she’d be able to escape with it,” Charlie laughed. “Or she wouldn’t even be allowed to enter in the first place. I don’t think I’ve seen her without her phone in her hand in years.” Apparently that was what it took to stay up to date with the news and trends. Their mother was perpetually trying to sell herself for some movie or TV show, or whatever it was that got her work these days. As long as none of them had to attend premiers anymore, Charlie was fine with what she did for work. It was fun when she didn’t know any better, but looking back on it now it felt more exploitative than ‘cute’. Forced to wear matching designer outfits was gag-inducing at times. And definitely suffocating. “I think she’d like their diet more than anything though.” MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

February 13, 2026 Fortunately, it sounded like she would be able to live another day. Charlie was too worried about being ratted out by the plants on Hy-Brasil to try anything that might actually kill her. Monday was surprised that she wasn't so concerned about being ratted out by one of their other siblings. Going ahead and doing seventh-year-level work sounded more enticing to her than Monday expected it would, though. Charlie didn't seem particularly thrilled about the possibility that she would be going back to Ilvermorny for the next school year. Then again, there wasn't anything that was going to keep her from attending Hogwarts for her last year if she really wanted to. It wasn't like their parents couldn't afford to do it.
Charlie also sounded less confident that their mother would be able to get away with bottling up some fountain of youth that probably didn't actually exist… or maybe it did. "Or she wouldn't even be allowed to enter in the first place," Charlie remarked, though their mother didn't practice the Dark Arts or anything. "I don't think I've seen her without her phone in her hand in years."
Monday stifled a laugh that came out as more of a snort than she would have liked, especially when Charlie followed up her comment by saying that their mother would like the Druids' diet more than anything. "Dude, like, a Druid farm-to-table restaurant concept or something would actually be so cool," she realized. "Like, people would totally go for that."

▲ "Oh! That's such a good idea!" Why hadn't she thought of it? That ticked so many boxes of the diet fad their mother was constantly trying to put all of the siblings through, which Charlie often times found borderline offensive considering the diet requirements of a few of them. That was why she was always picked for that one, because she was totally one-hundred percent normal human girl. Plus the magic, of course. Not knowing any better until she fully escaped the metaphorical watchful eye when going to Hogwarts. Now none of it mattered, and if she wanted to eat that sort of food the school offered it. Hy-Brasil obviously had a wider range available and it was centuries of creativity. Their food wasn't just better health-wise, but also looked like it belonged in some of the fanciest restaurants in the muggle world. It was maybe a good thing they didn't have their phones on them now, because leaked pictures would have magical foodies from all over trying to get a plate of whatever the flower of the day happened to be. "I bet they'd never go for it though," she frowned as she thought about it some more. "And if they did, they'd never charge money. I'm positive that goes against one of their tenets or something. That was absolutely baseless conjecture on her part, as she knew there had to be something weird about their trade and goods. "I'd totally buy into it though. Maybe market it as an outreach program to get people to understand the druids better without having anyone else doing it for them?" They seemed like a fairly headstrong sort of people, on top of their obvious gentle demeanors and care for the natural world. Something like ultimate hippies, minus the music but still with hallucinogenics and flower power cranked up to ten. The druids would put the remnants of that era to shame just by being themselves. February 13, 2026 Although she agreed that it was a good idea, Charlie was more skeptical about the culinary ambitions that the Druids on Hy-Brasil could have had, and she voiced her doubts that they would be as interested in a farm-to-table restaurant as Monday thought. One of her reasons for holding that view was that she didn't think that the Druids would want to charge people money to eat at a restaurant. As Charlie said herself, "I'm positive that goes against one of their tenets or something."
Monday frowned, though her expression perked up when her younger sister acknowledged that she would buy into the concept nevertheless. "Maybe market it as an outreach program to get people to understand the Druids better without having anyone else doing it for them?"
That sounded pretty reasonable to Monday. "Yeah, I think it would have to be all about, like, the marketing and branding and whatever. It would need to be promoted as a cultural exchange sort of thing and give the Druids some sort of—I don't know—incentive to do it, if that makes sense." Being teenagers, obviously neither of them were experts in how to do all of that for themselves, but it was a good thought.

▲ "No, yeah, that makes sense to me," Charlie answered. Druids were so fickle with things. She was sure they could convince the younger ones to do something like this, as they were more amenable from her brief interactions with them thus far. Plus it was good will and all that, right? Charlie let out a long yawn, the kind that made her blink a few times because it took so long to get out of her system. Apparently she was still just as tired as she had been a few minutes prior during the seminar. "I don't know how much long I'll be able to stay awake tonight," she yawned again. All this clean, magical air (and being awake for so long from the adrenaline of the trip) was finally catching up to her. Everything had been fine until she'd gotten up to walk, and then it all hit her at once. A bus of sleepiness driven by the Sandman. Contemplating ways to include druids in the greater magical culture had definitely fried the last remaining brain cell that was willing to work at this point. "Might just call it a night here," Charlie yawned for a third time. "Merlin...we can talk about all of this tomorrow though. I'm definitely interested in talking to some of the younger druids and licking their minds." Assuming they'd have enough free time to hunt one down and ask. A lot of the locals that weren't directly involved in the trip seemed to disappear into the forest once they weren't needed anymore, back to their business and all that. Even the few glimpses of the supposed High Druid had been more like catching a ghost out of the corner of the eye. She seemed to drift around wherever she pleased in an almost ethereal way. But Charlie was too tired to think about that. Bed time was calling. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

February 13, 2026 Though they had been talking extensively about the various plans they could make to get the Druids to see that the differences that they feared in others weren't necessarily so bad or adjacent to the Dark Arts as they believed, Charlie's yawn was an immediate reminder that they couldn't keep talking forever. Charlie pointed out that she wasn't sure for how much longer she'd be able to stay awake, and Monday nodded. They—or really, it was more on her end—had gotten themselves worked up enough for one day, and they still had to be up early in the morning and ready to go.
Charlie said that she was tempted to call it a night, but they could continue their conversation the next day. Being sisters, they didn't have too much choice in the matter, but Monday understood her point. "Yeah, that's cool," she agreed with her.
Even though she was incapable of carrying Charlie up to her bed, she could at least make sure that she got there safely and without sleepwalking. "C'mon, sleepyhead," she encouraged Charlie. "Almost there."
