April 2026
During the sabotage on the ship where the captains girlfriend was taken, Ri had sustained severe burns. Luckily, through the magic salve, made from ingredients harvested on Hy-Brasil, and the loving care of Renfri, he had healed nicely. During the majority of his healing, Ri had left the ship and started to live in Renfri's small penthouse flat in Hogsmeade. She taught at the school in the day, and they spent their evenings and nights together. As he healed, he knew that he had to go back to work, and the thought of it made him sad to leave her. So, he gave the woman a gift and a two promises. The gift was a small, simple Claddagh ring, with a crowned heart held in place by two hands. It perfectly fit Renfri's finger so that she could wear it, or have it near by as she pleased. The heart had been enchanted to change colors according to his wellbeing. Should he be in life threatening danger again, the ring would change colors, when he was doing well, it would remain. The ring would also react to him coming near to her as well, so that she could know when he was approaching. With the ring, Ri also promised her that he would be much more careful form now on.
Renfri's studio apartment was quite small, perfect for one, but as the two grown adults lived there for a month together it did start to feel a bit cramped. That was what had sparked the idea for a new place, a place they could share. So, when he had free time, Ri scouted and find the perfect place. It was deep a thick woods, with a hidden spring underground. With that, construction began. He had another reunion with his old druid friend, Constellation, and welcomed the help. Though Ri had done most of the work on his own. He then, as a surprise to her, brought Renfri to the small cabin. It was an open floor plan with a bed on one side, a bathroom on the other. In the middle the entrance, with a small little stove and kitchen, with seating meant only for two. The place was filled with trinkets and papers, artifacts and bottles. On the outside, there was a small covered seating place. Not far from the cabin was a small structure, hidden near a large tree. The door locked with a strong enchantment. Inside was a ladder going down to the underground spring. Ri had even started to cultivate his own mushrooms in the dark. Both structures had doors and enchantments so that only Ri or Renfri could open them. This place was meant for them after all. Both structures were surrounded by trees and wildlife, the made structures and objects blending perfectly with their surroundings, spaces for plants, and with fines and plants creeping over just about every outside wall. The two had started to spend their weekends in the secluded location, Renfri was free to grade and work on what she needed to while Ri hunted. Ri had surrounded the cabin area with a number of strong enchantments, barriers to prevent discovery, spells to prevent unwanted visitors. The place meant only for them.
That day, Ri had awoken in bead with his beloved Renfri. Holding her tight he was glad to be where he was, but knew he had to go out for some meat that they needed. He had planned to go out in the morning, finding some game and then harvest all he could from whatever beast he could find. But the bed was warm, and he could feel Renfri's sleepy body against him. But after some time, he knew he had to go. So he gave his love a sweet kiss good buy, dressed and headed out for his hunt.
@renfri @constellation OOC: You two can chose who goes first, i'll be sending both of you reference images of the cabin

April 2026 @cashel & @constellation
Renfri would admit that her little flat wasn't exactly the best for cohabitation. To start, it was very small. To make it worse it was incredibly cluttered with all of her belongings. She'd collected a great many items over the years. Plus, she'd never really plan on it being more then just a place to sleep as she'd been quite single, teaching at Hogwarts, when she'd gotten the place. She just never felt like there was a need to be there. Of course, after meeting Ri, that had changed. Her small flat was a better place for them to stay then his bunk on a ship, but it wasn't too much of an improvement. Though, it had worekd for the weekends they spent together. THough when he'd come to stay at her place while recovering from an injury the small interior became rather obvious. So, Ri had found a better solution.
Of course, Renfri had been incredibly surprised by the cabin when he first brought her there, but she loved it. Quiet, out of the way, nothing fancy about it. But it was theirs. And, thankfully it offered much more space. She still had her flat in Hogsmeade for the week days, but she'd begun to spend her weekends here with Ri.
Today, of course, was no different. She'd woken when she felt Ri shifting around her. It'd been comfortable, sleeping in his arms. Drowsy and still half asleep she felt a brief kiss, before he pulled away, taking that sweet body heat with him. Renfri grumbled, shifting over to the side of the bed he'd just vacated to take advantage of any residual heat. After a while though she began to rouse fully. She yawned as she sat up. He wasn't back yet, so she assumed she must have only dozed a short time since he'd left. Reluctantly she managed to pull herself from the bed, getting dressed and struggling to get her left arm into the sling. She had a few papers to grade, so she might as well get started. It looked like a lovely morning so far though, so she put on a cup of coffee, scooped up the pages and headed out side to the small sitting area. She set the pages on the vacant chair as she sat down, before taking a sip from the coffee.
She'd just set the cup of coffee down when she heard something. Being in the woods she often ignored the sounds of the forest, but this was definitely not an animal. Ri? No, he was hunting so she would have heard him coming long before. This was something else entirely. She stood up from her seat, and peered around the side of the cabin, searching for the source of the sound. What she found was.... an unknown man.
The hell?
Renfri instantly felt guarded and bristling. Ri had told her that only they knew about this place. Which meant... any visitor was unwelcome in her mind. Immediately she shifted, turning into her jaguar form. What better way to tell someone they were unwelcome by a menacing, snarling giant black cat with giant teeth and claws? Now on four legs she stepped out from the side of the cabin, finally in full view of this intruder. She let out a low, intimidating snarl, baring those flesh ripping teeth at the man.

@cashel & @renfri the woods were a welcome change to the boat. though he did have to admit that the more time he spent on the boat the more used to it he'd gotten. that didn't mean it wasn't nice to have his feet back on solid ground. he'd spent the last few days roaming the wilds of the area they'd docked in last and he'd put a decent amount of what he'd hunted in a place so he could take it back to the ship with him, figuring he could use it to help show he did have some worth. he wasn't a sailor but he could keep them well supplied with meat and whatever else he could forage. he wasn't taking the pelts back to the ship though, he couldn't see much of a use for them there but then he figured he could be wrong. if he found out they'd have a use for them he'd take the next lot. this hunts though he was taking to his brother.
cash had told him about the cabin he'd had and had given him a rough idea where it was. the more time he spent with his brother the more he learned about the life he had beyond the ship but he couldn't help but think there was still things cash wasn't sharing with him. he couldn't blame him, after all they'd been apart for years but his nature meant he was curious. he walked through the woods towards where he was sure his brother's cabin was and sure enough it wasn't long before the small building came into view. he stopped for a moment and took in the site of it and noticed there was a hint of cozy about it. that didn't scream cash at all. he made his way closer, dropping the bundle of pelts on the ground near the door and he looked around for a second. he didn't know if cash was there at the moment but he could hope.
as he raised his hand to rap his knuckles on the door, he heard a noise behind him and the hair on the back of his neck stood up, those instincts he'd spent years honing alerting him to the fact that what was behind him, wasn't toothless. he turned somewhat slowly, turning his head before his body so he could get the animal in view. it took him by surprise, he'd been expecting a wolf or a bear but ... this animal was strange. out of place. "well you're not what i was expecting ..." he said as he thought of his options. he could apparate but the creature was close enough that it could get caught up in it if it moved quick enough and it could get hurt, he could shift but as quick as he could shift it again posed the same problem, the black cat could move quicker.

Reconnecting with his brother was great. Ri was happy to have the young man with him again. When they were younger it seemed as though he couldn't get rid of his shadow. But then he was banished, and not even given an opportunity to say good-bye to anyone, he was forced to leave. He had shared plenty since they had reconnected, though there were still a few things he kept to himself. Things like the recipe and instructions to his moonshine, and Renfri. It wasn't that he was keeping her from anyone, it seemed as though everyone else already knew, without him having to say anything. Even the act of building a cabin where he could spend his time off ship was word enough. He had only done it because he was with Renfri, after all.
The still morning was the perfect time to hunt. Though he wore thick combat boots, he moved delicately. Learning the art of hunting from a young age, it seemed to come naturally. Preferring handheld weapons to his wand, he searched for something that he could use. Ri still had his wand on hand, but it was there to serve as a back up, or security. Last thing he wanted was to get hurt again. In time, he came across a Red Deer buck grazing. He drew back his bow and aimed. The stillness of the moment seemed eternal. And with one calm breath, he released. In a fraction of a second, the animal had fallen. The druid hastened to the creature to ensure that it was a clean kill, if not, he would quickly end the animals suffering. He muttered a few words of thanks in Brasillic, a habit of his, and started back to the cabin with what he had intended.
Heading back to the cabin the man heard a familiar growl. He knew the sound as well as he knew his own Golden Eagle cry. He wondered what had spurred the reaction. He made his way back through an unmarked path that reminded him a lot of his old home that had failed him. Once he got into a small clearing that the cabin was adjacent to he saw quite a scene. True, he had told his brother the forest that he built the cabin in. He should have guessed that that tracker would be able to find it easily. And seeing as Tye was his brother, any enchantments to keep him out wouldn't have worked. With a sigh, he walked up, calmly, dropping off the body of the dead buck by the small shack by the tree. He'd clean it later. Turning to walk up to the large black cat, snarling he looked up at the young man. "What are you doing here Tye?" He spoke in English.

Renfri was, at times, quite aggressive. No surprise, considering her animal form was a black jaguar. One of the largest big cats, solitary hunters, powerful, not exactly known for being people friendly. They weren't cats that would just scare you off and go on with their day. When they attacked they attacked to kill. They also happened to be very, very territorial.
And this fool was in her territory.
Okay, technically it was her's and Ri's. But out of the two of them, she was definitely more territorial. If either of them was going to get in a territorial fight at the cottage it wouldn't surprise anyone if it was Renfri instead of Ri.
The man definitely hadn't expected to come face to face with a large, black, jaguar today. Renfri crept closer, still baring her teeth and letting out and even louder and intimidating growl. The hair at the back of her neck and down her spine was starting to stand on edge, visibly showing just how riled up his presence had made her. She was the image of a cat on the verge of trying to rip his throat out. And now she was close enough to do exactly that with just one leap. She could close the distance between them with little effort.
That was when she heard a voice. Ri's. The only person that could probably convince her not to attack this intruder. His words, of course, made her pause. They confirmed that Ri knew this invader, though he wasn't exactly welcoming the stranger either. Nor was he even telling her to back off. It was quite the conundrum. Should she back off or keep this stranger pinned against the door, ready to attack him at a given notice?
Renfri stopped growling so that she could turn her head and look at Ri to decide how to proceed. His voice hadn't given her any hint, so maybe his body language would give something away. Well... he didn't look angry or on guard. She turned her head back to the man and gave him a threatening look those teeth showing again, before finally turning and stalking back to Ri. She weaved behind him, her body right against the back of his knees, and her head near his left hand. She was still staring intensely at the intruder, still shooting daggers at him and showing off the flesh ripping teeth, as if to remind him that she could cross back to him and maim him without any hesitation should she choose. But currently? She chose not to. Why? Because Ri was a man of few words and his speaking to this stranger in a non threatening manner, when she had him cornered, meant Ri didn't actually consider him a danger.
(she'll be nice and not bite him yet.)

@cashel & @renfri it was only when his brother made an appearance in the space around the cabin that he noticed the shift in mood in the large black cat that seemed more than willing to tear him apart at a seconds notice. it hadn't been the welcome he'd been expecting but he'd long learned that what you expected to happen, wouldn't happen. he let go of the breath he'd been holding in, least the animal attack him for breathing, and he looked at his brother as he asked what he was doing there. he motioned his hand behind him to the pile of pelts he'd dropped next to the cabin of the door. "i brought a present." he said as his eyes moved back down to the jaguar that had wrapped itself behind his brother's leg. "he didn't tell me i wasn't welcome." he said to the cat. he'd been around enough animagi to know that the jaguar was in fact a fellow witch or wizard.
he didn't make to move from his spot, because animagus or not there was still no telling whether or not the cat would lunge at him and there was no telling whether he'd be quick enough transforming into his own animal form or if he'd be quick enough to use his wand to subdue them. that was the difference between animal and animagus, an animal was easy to read, their behavior and patterns of attack didn't usually vary that much, however an animagus in control didn't often exhibit the same mannerisms. it made them harder to read. "is the bite worse than the growl?"

Ri built the cabin for the purpose of living a comfortable life with Renfri. Sure, she had a place in Hogsmeade and he had a cabin on the ship, but both were much smaller than the cabin. Not like the cabin was very big, but it was built with two in mind. And while he wasn't anywhere near as territorial as Renfri, he would defend their little space with everything he had. But their unannounced visitor, while unexpected, wasn't a threat. Not that Renfri knew that, yet.
Entering the clearing and dropping his bounty near a the small shed that was right next to a large tree. Clearly he would have to handle this predicament first. Treating the animal could wait. Ri spoke, addressing his younger brother. In all reality, it was quite a scene to come up to. Seeing his girlfriend, Renfri, her animagus black jaguar form, defending her territory, and his brother, the unsuspecting younger druid pinned up against the door which he would not be able to enter, even if he wanted to. He could visibly see the black jaguar's feelings on the intrusion clear as day when he walked up. She was also close enough to not just make contact, but do some serious damage. After speaking, he could see the large wild cat contemplating her next move. She did look his way, and he peered into her eyes. What she chose to do next was her choice. His body was fairly relaxed, while his brothers arrival had been a surprise, he knew that the boy wasn't a threat to them or their cabin.
After taking a look at Ri, Renfri looked back to the intruder and then moved towards Ri. Spotting the signs that his brother had relaxed a bit after she seemed to calm down, heh heard his brother respond as she came to him. He felt no fear with the approaching hunter, her large teeth and claws intimidating to most. He knew that she would never hurt him. The younger man answered his posed question. Mentioning that he had brought a present, Ri looked to where he had motioned to see a pile of pelts. Renfri rubbed up against him, circling behind him and coming up on his left side. With his lift hand, Ri stroked the large jaguar's head soft. Though he couldn't help but feel that in a way, she was laying claim to him. Not minding, it was understandable if you think about how he was practically blown up and severely burned not too long ago. She had stayed by his side, faithfully helping his body heal.
Not being able to stop the small smile that came as he watched his brother, seeing the young man trying to reason with Renfri. "It's appreciated." He finally said, about the pelts. Fur pelts were good to help keep one warm during the winter, and it Ri would definitely be able to put them to some good use.
It wasn't surprising that the boy chose not to move from his perch. Renfri was clearly still watching him. And it was true, that an animagus was much more unpredictable than their animal counterparts. Especially for druids. Ri looked back down to the jaguar around him and crouched down, coming eye to eye with the beast, being sure to still stroking and scratching her. Hearing his brothers question he looked back up to Tye. "Ren, this is my brother Tiernan. And yes." He answered.
