AH. THE NEW YEAR. LONG awaited, but also...It arrived too quickly. At least that's what Ares Lestrange believed. He spent the Christmas period alongside his two children, his girlfriend and spotty shifts from the Hogs Head. So nothing was really...different. Still chaotic like the years before. Yet what the Lestrange wasn't expecting was a sudden task to be dropped his way, that also required Sutton to be present also. The job was easy. Kidnap a few people on behalf of Emmanuelle, Ambrosia, and Sergei. Potentially to bring in for questioning or test whatever creation Rue had been making for weeks on end. Regardless, Ares wasn't going to say no.

Positioned in his planned spot as he waited for the target, he hadn't seen Sutton all day long. And while he wouldn't of minded such a thing...They had a mission, a job to do. Ares hated tardiness or laziness when the event itself was important. But at the sound of footsteps, Ares turned his head slightly, smiling at the result. "Took you long enough." He commented quietly. "Targets supposedly inside, are you prepped?"

sutton ran the lipstick over her lips as she sat in her bathroom getting ready for tonight. she was due to meet ares to undertake a task for the purifiers and well, there was no reason she couldn't look her best while they were raising a little hell. she winded the bright red stick down into it's cover before she set it down, brushing her locks back over her shoulder as she smiled at the reflection and she stood up. "perfect." she said to herself as she grabbed her leather jacket from the bed as she left the bedroom. it didn't take her long to exit the large house, leaving ashlyn in the care of a very trustworthy nanny and she apparated close to where she was supposed to be meeting ares.

she pulled the jacket on as she walked, the heels of her boots clicking softly on the ground as she made her way to the designated meeting area. it was a little strange, going to find him when normally he was just so, accessible to her but it's what the task entailed. they were doing a snatch and grab. simple enough. she would have to refrain from messing with any of the memories of the people they snatched. that wasn't the desired outcome of this task, at least not yet. it was a little disappointing, memories were so fun to play with. it was like clay between her fingers.

she heard him as she approached and she stopped just more than an arms length from him. "the last i checked i didn't answer to you sweetheart." she said as she took her wand from her pocket. "you get me when you get me." she closed the gap between them so they could start to plan their extraction. "did that brain of yours come up with a half decent plan while you were waiting?" she asked as she took a second to get her bearings and take in what they were surrounded by in case they were ambushed or needed to use what was there as a distraction.

ARES COULDN'T HELP BUT SMIRK as he looked Sutton up and down, noticing how she had dressed up. He couldn't help but let out a quiet whistle, signalling that he was looking all over her, and knowing that she would probably enjoy it. It was funny to the Lestrange, considering that if someone had mentioned to him years or months ago he would be dating the mother of his second child, he probably would've laughed entirely. "True but you use me for everything I own no?" While he didn't mean it sexually, he knew it could've been taken that way and the thought of it made him smirk.

"Yes, alongside the plan of continuing to bug you to move in with me. My apartment isn't that bad." He added with a grin. He had definitely upgraded in style over the years, and his current apartment was on a lease, ready to be dropped for the next best thing. "Best way to go about it is, both of us at either potential exit, use potion A you got from Rue. Messy hair girl, remember?" Ares paused for a moment before outlining who they needed to capture.

"Targets are two males and one female, roughly all the same age. Though one is slightly more...popular than the rest. Bound to have security around. Questions?" He added, turning his head to face hers with a wide smirk.

she felt his eyes roaming all over her and she couldn't help but enjoy the feeling it sent through her. it still shocked her how much she'd missed having his gaze on her. when she'd left she'd convinced herself that she could forget about him and it had worked while she'd been gone. and then she'd had to track him down to tell him about their daughter and everything had fallen in a heap. her resolve and her ability to not think about him. he was on her mind more than most other things and she did find herself craving his company again. not that she'd ever put that in as many words to him. at least not yet, she wasn't ready for that just yet. she heard the whistle that he blew through his lips and she rolled her eyes a little, though her mouth did turn up into something of a smile.

"what i use you for isn't something you buy." she said with something of a smirk as she came to stand in front of him. they were here on business and while she would mix that and pleasure by flirting and playing with him, there was a need to act professional. they would have their moments when they were finished but they were here to do a job and that needed to be done. they couldn't fail because they were too busy with each other. "you can keep trying." she said as she pulled her wand from her pocket.

she took the potion out of the pocket of her jacket and looked at it, thinking about who gave it to her. she couldn't place the face but she did remember crazy hair. "is that her name is it?" she said casually as she tucked it back into her pocket. she listened to the rest of what he was saying and took mental notes on who the targets were. so it should be fun then, especially if they had tickets on themselves. it was always fun to knock people down a peg or two. she shook her head when he asked if she had any questions and she started to walk towards where they needed to go, waving her wand quickly to quieten the noise of her boots.

ARES HAD ALWAYS BEEN DRAWN to looking at beautiful people. But Sutton was always one of the special few that continuously held his attention, no matter how long he looked at her. But now he was swept up in the reality of just having his attention solely on her and their child - as well as Sebastian of course. Call the Lestrange soft, but he was happy Sutton had found her way back into his life, despite how chaotic as their previous experience had been.

"Mm..What do you use me for then?" He asked teasingly, grin rising as he met eyes with her briefly. "But don't you wanna wake up to this all the time?" He added, motioning to his body with a laugh. In all seriousness, Ares knew what they were here for and under-performing while an important task was underway was definitely not in his vocabulary. "Yup. Best friends with one of the Oliveira girls. You know, Aunt to Sebastian." He mentioned, peering over at Sutton while recalling the situation between himself and Rue.

With their movements drawing closer, Ares knew the next few steps were crucial. Take out the nearby security and somehow take over to mimic the actions of the bouncer to lessen the suspicion. Ares had plans on drawing the attention of the two males, to immediately render them useless and go for their main target of the day. In a whisper he relayed the information to Sutton, before hearing a door nearby swing open, rambles of a bouncer coming out.

she looked at him as he asked what she used him for and it took everything in her not to at least smile. she rolled her eyes upward slightly and shrugged her delicate shoulders just a little as she then used her eyes to track down his body. "use your imagination." she said almost lazily. she couldn't help but let a smile crack her face slightly as he motioned to his body and she shook her head and rolled her eyes in ernest. "you're head would take up the entire bed." she said as she tried to get her focus back on the mission before she found herself trying to drag him into a much more secluded part of the alley.

she listened as he explained who rue was, though she didn't actually remember asking for any kind of detailed description. but it did pique her interest that she had something to do with sebastian. taking an interest in him was part of her relationship with ares. his son was as much his child as her daughter and he was ash's half brother and while there had been so many things wrong with her family, her siblings were important to her. so that meant that sebastian was important to her.

she walked closer to the door with him, listening as he explained his plan in her ear and she nodded just slightly, understanding what they needed to do. and there was nothing like drawing attention to something like a good old fasioned fight. when the door to the building swung open she turned on ares suddenly, raising her hand to slap his sharply across the face, her expression turning fiery as she noticed eyes moving in their direction. "how dare you! you think that slut is better than me?" she stepped back from him quickly and turned on her heel away from him. "go back to your whore." she said as she walked away from him, hoping he'd caught on just enough to start disarming the people standing between them and their target.

AT HIS 'GIRLFRIENDS' ANSWER, ARES had to stop himself from smirking. He knew this was her attempt to remain serious, but Ares knew Sutton all too well. The same way the Lestrange knew if he ever stepped out of place around her, he would hear a mouthful about it later on. "Would not!" He objected, smiling before his focus turned to their mission at hand. As the doors swung open, with people approaching them, the Lestrange felt for just a moment - their plans would be ruined. That was until Sutton rose her hand, slapping Ares' cheek.

He knew immediately it was to draw the attention away from any suspicions, and instead imply they were a couple having issues. "No wait- Babe.." He began, his hand resting against his cheek as Sutton walked off. Ares took it into his own initiative to disarm the people around them, doing it with quickness and allowing them to draw in closer to the target.
