▲ With all of the Bainbridges pushing their way into their booth and popping open their pizza boxes, Mickey knew that his decision to leave Dustin be was the correct one. While he sort of sucked at interacting with his own siblings, he also wasn't completely ignorant of the fact that other people enjoyed being around theirs. Claricia agreed with him that it would be a good idea to leave the family be. Mickey only barely managed to step away from the table, with Claricia trying to say something to him, when a wild James Potter practically jumped into his face. Now it really was like getting the whole neighborhood back together. He had seen the red flash of Lily behind her brother, but she had already disappeared from view. That wasn't a surprise at all. James was bragging to Claricia about he supposedly used to knock him off his broom all the time in pick-up games, and all Mickey could do was stare at him. “I recall that being because you had a full foot on me until my fifth year,” Mickey countered back. Despite being driven into the ground by his father during practice drills, he really didn't amount to much as a player until he actually grew. Now he was freakish in size, and his wingspan helped immensely at the goal posts. “But you wouldn't be able to do that anymore.” Except this was James, and he probably still could if he really wanted to. Just because he took a different career path didn't mean he lost his Quidditch skills just like that. @tag ● ### ● Song by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Good times never seemed so good I've been inclined, To believe they never would April 18, 2026 Mickey was unimpressed with James’ bragging. But, he expected that. On that note, not much had changed since they were kids. Mickey had been one of the older boys while he and Dustin had been in the same year. But, his words were true. Suddenly one day the fifteen-year-old had outgrown the scrawny twelve-year-old kid that James had been. ”That sounds like a challenge, McLaggen. I’ll hold you to that.” It wasn’t as if they could play a scrimmage here in a pizza parlor or anywhere nearby, but maybe one day they would be presented with the opportunity.
James turned to Claricia, still beaming with his usual confidence. ”Mickey, Dustin, and I used to play when we were younger.” He explained, glancing at Dustin with his sisters at the table behind them. Those were fun times, simpler times. Even his cousins would join in from time to time, though it was the funniest the times they’d try to force Albus on a broom. He wondered if either Dustin or Mickey spoke about those times with their respective teammates. James would, if only to again brag that he could knock either off their broom as a Chaser. It had not been the career for him in the end, while he did miss playing he didn’t have any doubts about having chosen Law Enforcement. ”Did you both manage to get through this line?” James pointed with his thumb behind him, he didn’t need to look again to know it was still outrageous how long this line was.

April 18, 2026 Most people who played Quidditch were competitive by nature, so Claricia wasn't surprised to hear James Potter and Mickey McLaggen going back and forth about who was actually the better Quidditch player. Interesting though that might have been for some, Claricia wasn't particularly interested in listening to it all, really, but James explained that the three of them—Dustin Bainbridge included—had all played Quidditch together as children. It was a small world.
Moving off of the subject of Quidditch, though, James questioned if they had already managed to get their pizza in the mess that was the organization of this fine dining establishment. "Yeah. The queue's absolutely mad, though," Claricia explained; she didn't envy anyone who planned to wait around for their pizza if they could help it. "I'd avoid it, honestly."

April 18, 2026 Blair was precisely one of those people who wasn't about to put up with the wait to order a stupid slice of pizza. It wasn't that she had anything against pizza itself, but her lunch break was only so long. She wondered if it would be easier just to order a pizza for delivery, Apparate back to the tattoo shop, and eat a slice or two in between doing other things while she worked that afternoon. That seemed to be a better plan, anyway, and she stepped out of her place in line once she had made up her mind in that regard.
Getting her phone out as she navigated past some of the tables, she ended up bumping into someone and quickly apologized, awkwardly diving for her phone before it fell to the floor. "Sorry!" she apologized. She was only trying to be efficient with her time, but that had obviously backfired on her.

▲ Size did matter. Especially in Quidditch. His father’s militarized training regiment from the moment Mickey could sit on a broom without flipping over on it had been hard at times. Being a tiny child well into his school years, even when he could fly better and knew game tactics more thoroughly than most players, definitely left him sitting out a lot. At least as the broom boy for the Gryffindor team his first few years at Hogwarts he had some rights to utilize the pitch after practices if it wasn’t reserved by another house team. That sort of satiated his father’s desire for him to go pro until the day actually came. As for the challenge, he was sure it would never happen unless Potter had a sudden change in career. Mickey felt pretty confident in his one-on-one abilities, that being the way he had been trained growing up, and the fact that any drills surrounding scoring tactics required him in front of the posts. “Maybe during Christmas this year if Dustin and I don’t have matches,” Mickey offered. He had been trying to be less stringent and grumpy lately, and it seemed to be working well enough. It did feel strange making a choice for Bainbridge considering he was sitting right there, but Mickey had a feeling that he was still sort of paying attention even though his sisters were talking his ear off already. In regards to the line though, that was an easy answer. He agreed with Claricia that it wasn’t a good idea right now. “That may have been my team’s fault. The Bats are slow when it comes to deciding on food.” And throwing shots at the opponents goal posts, but he wasn’t one to question their decisions on timings. He was going to add more onto that, about how trying to get a team of twenty players and coaches through a pizza making line was almost impossible, but someone ran into his back. They immediately apologized and bent down for what looked to be a dropped phone. Mickey recognized it as Blair, who worked at Mystery Inks in Diagon. He had a few of his pieces down there. “It’s all good. Bobby have you running for lunch today?”@tag ● ### ● Song by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Good times never seemed so good I've been inclined, To believe they never would April 18, 2026 James half-grinned. ”I’ll remember that. As long as they don’t have me working the holidays this year.” The one downside of his career. His schedule. And with how events had been going this year already, he knew it would continue to be busy without much of a chance at letting up. And even if it wasn’t related to his career it might be Order related, though he didn’t bring that up publicly. Ariadne might have rolled her eyes if she was here. ‘Boys and their Quidditch’ she’d say or something similar, but it was all in good fun.
Claricia was correct, it was a madhouse today, and as contagious as the energy was--James wondered exactly how safe this was. Mickey was pushed forward slightly as someone collided with him and James looked curiously to see who it had been and if they were okay. He’d seen one person fall already, and had heard others. It wasn’t hard to notice. Everybody in the vicinity would all turn and look in the same direction. James recognized Blair, from the Order. But, even if he didn’t have tattoos himself it wasn’t a longshot that he knew people in the village or other shops. ”Careful, i’ve already seen a few people fall today.” It was a surprise nobody had gotten trampled yet.

April 18, 2026 Running into another person in a crowded restaurant was no one's idea of fun, though Blair felt a little bit better when she saw that it was Mickey McLaggen—a professional Quidditch player who happened to be a client of the tattoo parlor—and not some Ministry hotshot. He immediately asked if Bobby had her running for lunch, and she shrugged. It wasn't Bobby or anyone else's fault, she thought. If anyone's, it was Blishwick's. He needed some sort of buzzers or something to manage the chaos.
It was then that she realized that James Potter was the one conversing with Mickey. She knew him because they were both in the Order, although they were close enough in age that it probably wasn't so suspicious that they would know who the other was. Erring on the side of caution, however, she nodded as he told her to be careful.
"Yeah," she said to the two young men as she collected herself, "I'm not waiting forty minutes or whatever for a pizza. I'm just going to order one for delivery and skip all of this." Who honestly had that kind of time? In actuality, it seemed like more than a few people, but she had things to do.

▲ Now that he thought about it, wasn't Bobby a Blishwick as well? Maybe this was a way to have his assistant keep an eye out for a good time to pop his head in. All the Blishwicks seemed to be aggressive in their businesses, so it would make sense if Bobby showed up too. Blair shrugged at his comment though, so maybe that wasn't the case. Regardless, he couldn't blame her for not wanting to wait in the line any longer. The increasingly large line and the fact that he was hearing murmurs of an hour or more wait made sense to skip out altogether. Thankfully he was already done now. “You may as well wait until next weekend. Or a weekday,” Mickey offered her, looking over at James as he mentioned he had seen some people take a spill already. It seemed like a better idea considering how long it was going to take now. Mickey was going to add something about a quality muggle pizza parlor closer to Diagon than Blishwick’s was (though the quality wasn't quite the same), when he heard James’s name being called from somewhere in the crowd. At first he just assumed it was Lily, but the redhead that emerged wasn't a Potter, but a Weasley. Thankfully most of them ended up in Gryffindor so he sort of knew them all one way or another. Mickey moved aside since it seemed important. @tag ● ### ● Song by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

▲ “James!” Harper yelled through the line that separated her from her cousin. Normally she wouldn't have been shouting like that, but as she had been trying to enter the pizza parlor she had seen Lily run down a poor girl carrying a box of pizzas out in the street and jump on her, causing a bit of a spill. Harper hadn't paused to see if everything was okay on that front, instead deciding to see if she could get help from somewhere inside. There were enough people inside that someone could probably give assistance, right? Spotting James immediately was probably the best outcome that could have come from this, and that was when she began shouting his name and pushing through the crowd. For whatever reason, most of the people in line thought she was trying to skip line and budge them. As if! Harper apologized for the first few shoves, but once she started getting dirty looks, she gave up being nice. All those phones they were currently staring at? All thanks to her. After saying a few choice words to an older gentleman who clearly knew she was a Weasley and disliked that, she yelled her cousin’s name again, the man standing next to him turning around first. Mickey McLaggen! She knew that grumpy face anywhere! He was always angry when they were in school, and only liked talking about Quidditch. He didn't look nearly as upset today as she thought he would be though, considering the crowd. “James,” she said, exasperated as she pushed past the last piece of the line and made it to the group. A whole gang of Bainbridges were sitting nearby as well, so things were starting to add up on why James was here, and Lily outside. “Lily just bulldozed some poor girl outside. I thought you should know…”@tag ● ### ● Song by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Good times never seemed so good I've been inclined, To believe they never would April 18, 2026 Blair mentioned that she was not going to wait in this line and she didn’t blame her. He felt bad for the employees that were on their lunch and just wanted something to eat that didn’t involve participating in this event and making their own pizza. Now on that note, he wondered how deliveries were being handled with the influx of orders, or maybe Blair’s boss got priority since he was part of the family. James nodded in agreement with Mickey, literally any other day except today would be a better time to return and try the unique menu.
Mickey turned and so did James when he heard his name. It wasn’t LIly’s voice, nor her red hair. But he recognized his cousin immediately. ”Hey Harp.” He greeted her happily. She’d remember Mickey from the times she would have come over to the house to visit, if not also remembering him from school. She looked like she had climbed a mountain to get to where he was, though that wasn’t too far off the mark when it came to the crowd in here. And then she mentioned his sister and James let out an exasperated sigh. ”I leave that girl alone for three minutes…” James shook his head and looked back at the people he was talking to. ”I’ll see you around.” He excused himself from Blair and Mickey and looked back to Harper. ”Lets go Harp. Do you know who it was?”

are you ready for this? Are you hanging on the edge of your seat? April 18, 2026 Diana couldn’t remember what hunger felt like and she was trying hard to remember. Her hair had shifted back to blonde after taking that first bite of the pizza she was splitting with Cara and she just felt round. The rest of the table seemed to feel the same and Dustin looked like he was ready for not just a nap but perhaps a light hibernation until his next Quidditch match. Diana forced herself to stand up and she stacked the empty boxes on top of one another. Normally, she might have used magic to clean up the table but the movement was helping her stay awake. ”I’ll go toss these.” Plus she was sitting at the end of the booth, so it was about easy access.
Walking through the crowd she found the charmed trash bin and turned almost running right into James and Harper, who seemed to be on a mission. The reunion seemed to continue. What were the odds that she would get her siblings (almost all of them) and and her longtime neighbors all in the same place at the same time? Maybe she could ask Professor Vector what the numerical odds were of that and also of running into more people she knew. ”Sorry, wasn’t watching where I was going. Good to see you both.” She gave a half smile and made her way back to the table but people were in her way.

April 18, 2026 Just as Mickey mentioned that maybe it would be better for her to wait for another time to try the pizza from the pizza parlor, a girl Blair recognized as being one of James's many cousins came rushing in to alert him to something. "James," she started, obviously flustered, "Lily just bulldozed some poor girl outside. I thought you should know…"
Blair shook her head in dismay but wasn't bothered by the fact that James had to run off to see what Lily had done. She had a little bit of experience with his younger sister, considering that they had been in the same year the previous year—except Lily had gotten held back. Apparently, it seemed, this was a recurring theme for her, or at least James's reaction made it seem like it. When his cousin mentioned a "girl", Blair's mind went to some little kid, but James asked who it had been.
Out of curiosity, Blair moved over somewhat and looked to see if she could see who it was as James and Harper headed out the door. Unfortunately, it was Cordelia whom Lily had knocked over, and Blair glanced between Mickey and the door as she cursed under her breath. "Sorry. That's my flatmate! Gotta go!" she explained, although she didn't want to bolt out the door at a high enough rate of speed to do the same thing that Lily had just done.

April 18, 2026 Priscilla Rosier neither knew nor cared what this pizza-making event was for; she was there to follow up on a delivery for multiple pizzas that hadn't been made to one of the artists at the record label as promised, because everybody else who could have done that was too busy or too "important" to bother. The hassle of being unable to Apparate without a license meant that she couldn't just pop in to the pizza parlor and disappear into thin air to get back to Leeds. No, of course not; that would have been too easy. She had had to use the Floo Network to get to Hogsmeade and then walk all the way down to the pizza parlor, where the queue was literally out the door. It figured.
By the time that she had made it inside, she knew that Charlotta was probably wondering where in Merlin's name she had gone, but she was still waiting on those stupid pizzas. She hadn't become a receptionist to act as a glorified delivery owl, she thought, though there she was, standing around by the counter and hoping that an employee without dragon dung for brains might notice that she was there before she had to snap to get their attention.

▲ So she sort of figured that James had been keeping an eye on Lily today, the reaction he had when she mentioned the collision outside being about as naturally Potter as possible. Lily, or chaos incarnate, couldn't be trusted on her own. Harper had no idea what her younger cousin was going to do once she finally graduated, but there couldn't be too many career options that would deal with someone as unhinged and out of control as Lily could be. Not to mention she was a werewolf now… Of course none of those things truly mattered at the end of the day and Lily was a good kid, just a bit too hyper at times. As long as she wasn't charged with some sort of assault or bodily harm to the poor girl she knocked over outside. That would just be the icing on the cake she already had going for her. Harper followed James as he ran out of the pizza parlor, completely forgetting that she was here to get a pizza of her own. The girl that had been standing with James and Mickey McLaggen also followed, and Harper heard her mention that the person caught in Lily’s grasp was her flat mate. Well that was perfect. At least someone familiar to the poor thing would be there. “Hello! Goodbye!” Harper said to the person who was saying something about how it was nice to see her and James, even though Harper didn't take the time to see who it was talking. That wasn't important right now. @tag ● ### ● Song by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

are you ready for this? Are you hanging on the edge of your seat? April 18, 2026 James and Harper rushed past her without pausing, not that Diana minded. That family always seemed to be in a hurry. Diana then remembered that they had run out of napkins at the table and she was about to try and summon those via magic across this crowd--she could already picture the confetti like effect that might have if they ran into someone tall like Mickey as they made their way to the table. Plus, it was a good reason to stretch her legs and as she got closer to the counter. Again, it was pushing through a crowd which only annoyed her more and she lightly bumped into someone that was waiting there. ”Sorry….” And looking up, her hair shifted color at her shock.
”Priscilla. Hey.” Maybe she shouldn’t have challenged the universe to put more people here that she knew and especially from her Purifier activities. But also, she was standing right in front of the charmed side table that kept refilling the napkin holders and containers with extra cheese packets and all that. ”I just need napkins. I’ll see you around.” Luckily she was alone or Cara would have noticed the behavior shift, but also Priscilla had been at Hogwarts the same time as them before her expulsion. She just didn’t want to deal with it today.
