They said the world does not belong to you Addy glanced at the board near the Common Room entrance. It was visible to all students who walked near it, especially when one entered. But responses to her advertisement had been minimal, which had been disappointing. Slytherin already did not have many reserve players, so they would use them for matches unless a permanent replacement was found. She sighed as she flipped another page in her Magical Theory textbook. It was one of the few classes where she read for ‘fun’. Well, it was fun for her, but she knew that Brigh would disagree with that assessment. The previous couple of days felt as if they had happened so long ago.
Looking around, she knew she wasn’t alone in the Common Room. One of the triplets was sitting near her, also reading. It felt as though every time she turned a corner, Addy ran into a set of triplets or twins. Then again, she was close friends with Penelope, who was a triplet herself. And two of the triplets in Slytherin were on the house team. It hadn’t taken long for them to find out that Wendy was gone. Addy looked at the shiny and new badge on her robes. It felt strange there. Clearing her throat, she closed her book. ”Luna—would you ever consider switching to Chaser?” It was a thought to rearrange the roster a bit if a replacement was not found and people opted to try out for a different position.

Luna glared down at her potions boot, not really seeing or taking in the words on the page. She hated potions. She didn't understand the point. They could do magic, so why not just use that? What was the point of a bubbling cauldron, fumes to burn nostrils and fickle ingredients with one wrong measure sending everything to shite. With a grunt, she turned the page, letting her mind wanter to a particularly fine evening she'd spent with Arlo, tucked away from prying eyes.
So lost in her daydreams, Luna didn't initially realise that Addy was speaking to her. She didn't realise she was no longer alone in the common room, nor that the fire had dwindled somewhat to more of a slow burn. She blinked, and glanced up at Addy, who was asking if she wanted to switch to chaser. She mulled over the thought for a moment, before wrinkling her nose. "I think I'd rather stay beater - keep my aggressions in check," said Luna, a smirk curling at her lips. "But my sister - the other one, Phoebe, is a good chaser. She's played with Selene and I since we were small, so she knows the rules," said Luna, closing her potions book. "How does it feel? To have the badge at last," said Luna, nodding towards the shiny badge that stood proudly on Addy's chest.
