Mid April 2026
The last weeks had passed in a haze of sneaking about, of stolen moments in broom cupboards and anticipation. Luna hadn’t shared her little secret with anyone - though she wondered if Selene had had some miraculous vision involving her and Simon. Saint Selene, she probably knew everything and said nothing to her. Luna frowned and clutched her books more tightly to her chest as she hurried through the corridors to her next lesson. Her mind had been less focused for the past few weeks, though instead of Quidditch tactics, it was full of a boy. If Luna could see herself from an outside perspective, she would heartily roll her eyes.
During one of the aforementioned stolen moments, Simon asked Luna to meet him up in the Astronomy Tower that evening just before curfew. She’d reluctantly agreed, knowing that it was far from her common room and would likely result in getting caught and a detention, but she couldn’t stifle the excitement that always came along with proposals from Simon. More often than not, they’d walk past one another in the hallway, lock eyes, then moments later be closely entwined in a broom cupboard. Luna found she enjoyed this much more with Simon than she had with Arlo - and good riddance anyways, since he was busy pining after that Blishwick girl.
When the clock finally ticked past 8 o’clock, Luna set down her quill and rolled up her parchment. She’d leave the final bit of this nasty potions essay for later, provided she had the headspace. At least she didn’t have hugely horrible exams this year - only the normal, horrible ones. She didn’t care much about passing with flying colours, as merely scraping by was good enough for the Quidditch scouts. Luna quickly bid farewell to Evy, who eyed her warily before exiting the common room. She trounced quickly up the stairs, patting down her hair to make sure no stray bits had escaped and ensuring she jumped the trick step. In no time at all, Luna took the final, winding steps up to the Astronomy Tower, anticipation curling in her belly, a smile breaking across her lips.

The past month sneaking around with Luna had been unexpected but remarkable. Simon never would have thought he'd be tangled with one of the Trelawney sisters, but he was finding himself stowed in broom closets and other small spaces quite frequently with Luna after an incident on the pitch. They had countless snog and grope sessions since then..
Things between Simon, Nate, and Claudia had gotten explosive after Nate caught them sneaking behind his back. They had gone undetected for three months until he got suspicious and caught them red handed. Everything went to shit and Simon knew he was in the wrong, but there was a part of him deep down that was still pissed at Nate for everything he had done to him. 'Stealing' girls from him, interfering with relationships, snooping, stealing personal property, and being an all around deviant snake...But Simon knew he wasn't completely innocent, either, considering the circumstances. Simon found himself wanting to be around Claudia more than ever, but he also knew the three of them needed space from each other. Everything was fucked.
Amongst all of the chaos that ensued in Simon's life, Luna was an amazing distraction. Though, he wouldn't admit to calling her a 'distraction' because he enjoyed her company more than he ever expected her would. For as long as he could remember, Luna had always gone undetected on his radar, probably from the permanent scowl on her face and how she bashed his smoking habits. There was something about being able to tame the snake from lashing though...Luna kept up the banter but now he received actual fleeting smiles. It was nice to feel wanted and desired, even though Simon wasn't completely sure where he was going with it. Whether she knew it or not, she filled a bit of a lonely void in his life at that current time and he appreciated her for it.
Simon was already at the Astronomy Tower when he heard footsteps approaching. He could tell that it was Luna by the weight of the steps and the pace she was walking. As Luna entered, she was smiling. The corners of his lips slowly lifted upwards as he tucked an unsmoked spliff behind his ear, "Hey Smiley," he said with a chuckle, only because the nickname would be a bit ironic for her. Luna didn't smile, maybe Selene or Phoebe, but not Luna. Simon quirked a brow, "Fancy meeting you here." he said sarcastically with another growing smile.

Only Evy had noticed the lack of permanent scowl on Luna's features over the past few weeks, but Luna waved it off, claiming she was just feeling good about Slytherin's chances at the Quidditch cup. Surely, Evy knew Luna better than that, but her best friend knew better than to pry. Luna would tell her in time. Besides, the two had never really remarked on the others' choice of partners to pursue. Evy had only said Arlo was not the brightest (true) and Luna had commented that Nate was too fucked in the head to commit to a decent girl (also true). Not only that, but Simon and Nate were best friends - and how odd would it be for her and Evy to set their eyes on them? Luna decided to keep it her secret - for now at least.
Luna's trainers scuffed along the stone of the tower steps, picking up in pace as anticipation curled within her. She couldn't help the grin that spread across her lips as she crossed into the tower to find Simon there already. He took note of her uncharacteristic smile, and commented on it, smirking. It took a painful amount of effort to force her mouth into a straight line, before she sputtered into laughter. "Merlin, never thought anyone would address me as smiley," she said, crossing the tower and placing a lingering kiss on his lips. She tilted her head slightly, her eyes landing on the unsmoked joint behind his ear. "Watch you not get drafted because you can't keep up with everyone else since your lungs are tiny little pieces of coal," she commented with a smirk. "Really, is it worth it?" In reality, Luna knew full well whatever Simon smoked had no effect on his rather exceptional Quidditch skills. Moreover, she had found herself wondering on more than one occasion what it would be like to feel calm and at peace - without a worry. Before kissing Simon those weeks ago, it had been a completely unfamiliar feeling for Luna. But now... well, there was a reason she sought Simon out.
Luna tied her hair back into a knot at the nape of her neck, and placed her hands on her hips. "So..." said Luna, glancing around the tower. It was much more spacious than their usual spots. "What d'you reckon we can do here that can't be done in a broom cupboard?" she asked, her gaze fixing on Simon, mischief in her eyes and mayhem on her mind.

As the distance closed between them, Luna placed a lingering kiss on his lips and Simons hands dropped to her hips to pull her into him for a warm embrace. Simon knew he shouldn't have allowed himself to get involved with another girl on an emotional level but he couldn't help it.
Simon simply shrugged if she asked if having lungs for coal were worth it. Honestly, maybe a bit. There was a temptation to light the spliff right there to be an ass but he preferred to kiss Luna instead. Plus, she kind of had a point. Simon smiled with a chuckle, "I don't know, I guess we'll see." he bit his lip, feigning nonchalance about the situation. He'd kick himself later if he couldn't get on a team because he couldn't piss clean.
Luna pulled her hair into a pony and Simons smile spread...that seemed like an invitation for a vampire but he wasn't going to say anything. Instead, he noted the devious tone as she asked him what they could do up with all of the added space they were used to. The past couple of weeks they were confined to stuffy broom closets, so the fresh air and stars above their heads were a nice change of scenery. Not that Simon cared about the stars or galaxies when he had Lunas face to suck..
His hands reached to tilt her face as a hand rest at the nape of her neck, "Hmm.." he hummed thoughtfully before planting a trail of kisses down her jaw and diving into her neck. Simon pulled away slowly, "We could build a blanket fort." he teased randomly with a breathless chuckle, gesturing to the neat stack of chairs and blankets in the corner of the Astronomy tower.

A year ago, Luna would have laughed in anyone's face if they asked if she fancied Simon. The then-recent transfer from Durmstrang had immediately grated on her nerves, his utter nonchalance, his unwavering swagger, his unrelenting charm. Luna couldn't place the moment in time when irritation had turned to affection, but she was questioning her own sanity all the same. Warmth spread throughout her as she greeted Simon with a kiss, filling the cold, dark void that had so long encompassed her. She tied her hair back away from her face and took note of the way Simon's eyes lingered on the pale column of her neck. She recalled that Simon was a half vampire, and that the bare expanse of her throat was like an invitation. She cocked a brow, welcoming him.
Simon held Luna close to him, their breaths mingling. The vibration of his hum resounded throughout her, drawing a sigh of pleasure from her. His lips trailed down her neck, leaving invisible scorch marks on her skin and Luna yearning for more. "We could," said Luna breathily, her eyes fluttering shut for a moment. Where was that strict control she wielded on the Quidditch pitch? Completely lost, it seemed, in the wake of Simon's lips and fingers. "We could," Luna repeated, a bit more strongly this time. "But that would hide the stars. Unless you wanted to make one without a roof, which would be besides the point, I'd say," said Luna with a smirk. She took two deep breaths, and cast her gaze around the tower.
Without further instruction, Luna strode over to the blankets and chairs piled neatly in the corner. She bent over to inspect them, running her fingers over the soft knit fabric. Her first thought was of Selene - her second thought was also of Selene. At first, she wondered what ghastly creation Selene was knitting now. The second was what Selene would do if she knew Luna was sneaking around with Simon. Luna brushed those thoughts from her mind as she straightened, clutching two blankets. She returned to Simon, and spread out one blanket before them, discarding the second one to their side before sitting cross legged on the blanket. "Will you show me that special thing you can do with your hands?" asked Luna. After a beat, she realised how this sounded, and with scarlet cheeks, hastened to correct herself. "The wandless magic, I mean. Not... well... I mean, I wouldn't mind..." she trailed off, frowning.

"True." he nodded his head agreeably with her, hands falling from her waist and back to his side. ”But the best forts have skylights.” Simon informed her lightheartedly. Truthfully, he hadn't built many forts, let alone blanket forts with skylights. But for the sake of entertaining Luna, he was willing to.
Luna then asked Simon to show her the 'special thing' with his hands. It caught him completely off guard. A comical silence fell amongst them as Simons eyes widened into a state of complete disbelief, unable to resist quirking a brow. He laughed as she awkwardly explained that she meant wandless magic, sharing she also 'wouldn't mind'..whatever that meant. It left him with a growing smile on his face, he had to bite his lip to refrain from saying something inappropriate. Simon had been enrolled in wandless magic for two years and it wasn't easy, but he was able to do the basics...if it meant impressing a girl, he wasn’t going to deprive her of what she was asking for. Simon folded his long legs out from under him and sat with his back against the cold stone wall, sitting directly next to Luna on the blanket so their sides were pressing.
Simon noticed the frown and didn't want to make her feel awkward for the last comment, so he obliged. "Well.." he started like the typical show boat he was. "We've got the standard ol' locking charm," With a wave of his left hand, the wooden Astronomy tower door slowly creaked closed and the bolt locked. He learned a life lesson about locking doors recently. Simon offered Luna a satisfied smile, gesturing toward two stacks of chairs in the corner, "-And Summoning charms." the chairs hovered to Simons side, he waved his hand so they'd scoot a couple of feet in front of each other, he repeated the same on Luna's side so there were four stacks of chairs for the fort base. Simon raised a hand to summon the blankets, but he wasn't sure how to shake them out and make them create a 'skylight'. Simon turned to Luna, "The next part, I have no idea how to do with magic so we gotta just pretend," Simon wiggled his fingers jokingly in a grand demonstration making 'woo woo' magic sounds around Luna and the chairs. The canopy of blankets stayed with a bit of magic, there was even a blanket with a comical gaping hole. He stuck a hand in it to wave at her. "Ooh. Found your skylight window, Lu." he tossed a couple of more blankets into the fort for maximum comfort. There was enough room for two to lay and stargaze through the massive hole if they wished.
Carefully ducking his head into the the blanket fort and crawling inside, ”After all that...I'd rather have hands on you instead.” he confirmed surely with a solid nod, his eyes flickered with a cheeky smile as he returned to his place close beside her. Simon could feel her warmth as their sides pressed once again.

There was something absolutely intoxicating about the way that Simon held Luna, the low hum of his voice washing over her. Luna had so long prided herself on being the sort of girl who never lost control - it was so often why she lashed out first, rather than facing the unknown. It was why she kept a permanent scowl, as to not let others see her hand. Yet somehow in the past few weeks, Simon had cracked that hard outer shell and found the girl within. As she considered this, Luna wondered just how much had changed - and if it was a noticeable change and Evy just wasn't saying anything.
Flushing scarlet, Luna hastened to correct her meaning. Though she found herself jabbering on about how she really wouldn't mind him doing other stuff with his hands, it was a remarkable show of respect that Simon performed the wandless magic rather than pushing the topic further. She did notice that he was suppressing a smug smile, but all the same, Luna was relieved that he didn't make fun of her. Their standard banter had faltered slightly the last few weeks, replaced instead with breathless, stolen moments in broom cupboards and longing stares (at least from her end) across the Great Hall. Luna was under no false impression that Simon was interested in something long term with her - after all, he would be graduating and going on to Quidditch. But the affection and attention was nice, and so was the snogging.
With wide, eager eyes, Luna watched as Simon performed the wandless magic. His hands moved gracefully through the air, and the spells obeyed his wishes with the same movements. There was the click of a lock from the bottom of the stairs, the scrape of wood upon stone as the chairs zoomed to their side. Luna snorted with laughter. "Never thought I'd hear you admit you can't do something, Svendson," said Luna with a smirk. Looking up at Simon's direction, she noticed the huge hole in the blanket. "You'll want to investigate your product more thoroughly next time," she advised, but she appreciated the hole in the blanket all the same. She shivered in anticipation at the mention of her nickname, her eyes following Simon as he collapsed into a heap at her side. Their bodies pressed together as Luna appraised Simon silently. She would have liked to say there was a battle going on in her mind, but that wouldn't exactly be the truth. The pair lay there for a long moment, with Luna considering what she had so long withheld from Arlo. It had never felt quite right with him. But with Simon, things were easy. She didn't need to be in control. She could just be with him, and enjoy the time they had together. It was an utterly foreign feeling, and Luna wondered if she was coming down with some sort of illness, because she'd never had thoughts like this before.
Luna shifted to her side, propping herself up on an elbow. "Don't tell me you're all bark and no bite, Svendson," said Luna in a low voice. There was no hesitation in her voice, no jest. She closed the distance between them, her hand tentatively reaching out to lay lightly across his abdomen, her lips pressing to his, slowly at first before becoming more urgent. The stars winked above them in a surprisingly clear sky.

(This was a bit PG13 so uhhh this is your warning)
Simon hesitated for a moment. The past couple of weeks with Luna flashing before his eyes. He noticed how comfortable he got with Luna as she slowly started opening up and warming up to him, it made him feel special he got to see a side of her not many people had the opportunity of experiencing. The formerly icy stares had melted into a longing. He found himself doing the same, wondering if anyone else had noticed. Simon was conflicted by the feeling. But that never stopped him. There was something about Luna that he couldn't quite place, she intrigued him, and kept him on his toes. Simon hadn't considered the consequences of getting involved with a girl a year younger, let alone someone on an opposing team, because that would be a distraction on the pitch. Yet, there he was, tempting his fate. As he lay beside Luna in their blanket fort, stars twinkling above, he found his mind drifting to doing other unsavory things with Luna. Her hand rested on his abdomen as she made the comment hoping he wasn't all bark and no bite. Simon shifted slightly to look at Luna, his lips curling in a more daring smile. "All bite. If that's what you want." he quipped playfully as their lips moulded into a heated kiss, catching her bottom lip in his teeth gently and releasing it as he smiled into the kiss breathlessly. Simon pushed into the kiss as he propped himself over her, settling himself between her legs as an arm stretched under her as they kissed with growing urgency, with a collision of teeth and lips.
Things escalated, quickly, his hands dared to inch their way under her shirt to drink in her warm skin against his cold marble hands. He wasn't thinking about anything else but how great it felt to be alone Luna and how alive it suddenly made him feel.

[tiny bit PG13 ok]
Luna didn't notice Simon's hesitation, so wrapped up in her own elation at finally being able to open up to someone. She felt like with Simon, it didn't matter that she was just one of three. He only saw her. Selene wasn't hovering around, offering cookies and making sure everyone was a comfortable temperature, and Phoebe wasn't babbling about the latest plant she'd taken in or Button's meal plan. With Simon, she could just be Luna. And Luna quite liked being with Simon. Even more, she liked kissing Simon.
Laying her arm lightly across Simon's abdomen, Luna teased him about being all bark and no bite. She had been surprised that he'd even gone through some sort of effort tonight. "That is what I want," replied Luna in a low voice, her eyes locking with his, desire evident within her gaze. He turned to her more fully, capturing her in a deep kiss, before shifting so that he hovered over her. His fingers were cold on Luna's overheated flesh, and Luna could think no more. She pressed herself into him, letting Simon take control and light her on fire.
Some time later, Luna lay curled into Simon's side, a blanket splayed haphazardly over their naked bodies. It had hurt, rather more than she had thought it would. At least at first. But Simon had been surprisingly tender and patient, and Luna had enjoyed herself thoroughly. Luna's thoughts roamed as she tried to think of something to say, but she couldn't properly form words. Was let's do it again an appropriate response? She wasn't entirely sure. So instead of saying anything, Luna reached up and pressed a kiss to Simon's exposed collar bone. Then, she shifted and turned to lay on her back and peer up at the stars. "You know, for a seer, I don't know shit about astrology. What does it even mean when you can see Uranus?" asked Luna after a moment.

There was a moment when Simon was conflicted over whether it was right or not for him to go all the way with Luna, especially knowing she was a virgin. For weeks they were content with the spontaneous snogging sessions in the broom closets, where things were fun and flirty, maybe even a bit silly. Adding sex into the equation often started to add feelings which multiplied to problems. He was relieved that Luna wanted to keep their arrangements a secret because he didn't want a relationship. Nor did he want the word to get out to Claudia. Fuck, more secrets..
Time seemed to slow down as his hands explored Luna carefully and kissed her deeply. There was no way he'd be able to tell her no when she looked at him like that. Their legs and arms were tangled in each other before their clothes were strewn across the floor of the Astronomy Tower. Surely, this would be a bad time to be caught with pants on the ground but Simon wasn't thinking about that. Filled with unbridled desire, he devoured her, both struggling a few times to keep quiet.
After some time, they laid breathless staring up at the starry night as crickets chirped in the distance. The skylight was a good idea. Simon never showed interest in astronomy, astrology, or Divination, in his wizarding training. His mum told him to stay away from girls who asked to know the time he was born because it usually meant they followed the “New Age Hippie Magic”. A term used loosely in the Svendsen household, more to be ironic. So when Luna asked out Uranus, he waited a beat to answer her question because it tickled his funny bone. Easily returning to his nonchalance, he turned his face her, ”It means there’s no clouds.” Simon said confidently with a hint of sarcasm in his voice, but he smiled at her, gently moving a strand of hair from covering her eye. ”In all seriousness, I have no clue.” he admitted with a chuckle. "What's it like to be a Seer? Can you actually see the future?" Simon asked, not knowing that it could be a sore subject for the Trelawney.

At long last, Luna and Simon lay side by side under the starry sky. Luna felt hot and cold at the same time, her legs tangled under the blanket with Simon's. She had to admit she'd been terrified at first, but was surprised to find Simon as a gentle and selfless lover. She took a deep breath, sighing with a contented smile on her lips. She idly commented about knowing nothing about astrology. About how the planets could align and tell the future of some rubbish like that. Of course, Luna knew that the future could be seen if only you had the inner eye. For the most part, divination was a complete lie. You either had the eye, or you didn't. There was no way to learn prophecy.
Luna rolled her eyes, but smiled reluctantly all the same. "Oh, right, thanks captain obvious," she replied. "No. I think it's bullshit. No, I know it's bullshit, the gift of prophecy is something you're born with, not something you can learn," she went on. Simon pushed a lock of hair from her face, his fingers leaving a scorching trail in their wake. Her gaze met Simon's, a now familiar fire burning deep in her belly, threatening to overcome her. Swallowing thickly, she dropped her glance to his lips for just a moment, before realising he'd asked her a question, and she had to give him a response rather than eyeing him hungrily.
"Er... it's a bit shite, to be honest. There's different forms, you know," said Luna, flinching. "And you can't control it. Selene can see the future, and Phoebe the past. I can see things as they happen, but from a different point of view," she exclaimed slowly. "I've always felt rather useless, to be honest. D'you... d'you remember the explosions? At Kings Cross? I don't think you were at Hogwarts, but it was all over the papers. Usually visions are more common when the three of us are together and, well, when we were on the train back from Hogwarts, just before we pulled into the station, I saw the explosion. I don't know who's point of view I saw, but it was someone bad." she shivered, lost in the awful memory of that day where dozens had died. Luna scratched a spot behind her ear, shifting slightly. Simon never could have known that her powers were such a sore spot. "What's it like to be half a vampire? Do you drink blood? Definitely not afraid of the sunlight," asked Luna, returning her gaze to Simon's searching his eyes for any sign of disgust or disappointment that her sight was not quite as interesting as people usually hoped.

april2026 Simon nodded when she asked him if he remembered the explosions. He wasn’t at Hogwarts at the time, but he had heard about it in the news and his parents were concerned about it before he transferred to the school. Simon never got to experience Hogwarts before it was overcrowded with students. He could tell that the subject of her ability was a bit of a sore spot for her by the way she spoke about it, he couldn’t remember a time he had seen Luna seem anxious about anything. A part of him almost felt bad for asking about it.
His face softened as a sigh slipped from his lips, ”Don’t be too hard on yourself, Lu.” he told her gently as an arm draped around her to comfort her. ”I don’t think it’s useless. An ability is an ability, sometimes it takes time to hone in on those things.” he said as he pulled her closer, quite enjoying her soft warm skin against his. ”I imagine it being a bit traumatic depending of the nature of what you see though..” he said softly. ”Are the visions triggered by anything or are they usually more random?” he asked her curiously, unsure if she actually wanted to talk about it, but he was genuinely interested in what Luna had to say. Simon was sure she'd give him the vibe if she didn't want to talk any further on it.
Luna asked what it was like to be a half vampire, probably trying to change the subject from a sore one. Simon wasn't ashamed of his Dhampir blood so he was willing to share when people asked. ”Well, I’m half-vampire, my pops is Full Vampire and mum is a witch.” he informed her easily, "Not scared of the sun but we do get sunburns." Simon smiled with a laugh at her comment. "Since I don't have actual 'working' fangs, I can't suck blood, but I do crave and drink blood. Honestly, half vamps can't do anything cool like walk on walls or turn into a bat....we're just more 'athletic' with a thirst and sometimes people are entranced by our voices. Oh, and it's cliche, but we hate garlic." he chuckled with a scrunched face at the thought of garlic.

The conversation between Luna and Simon flowed easily, as it always had done. Though rather than trading barbs, they spoke pleasantly, almost kindly. As if they were friends and there was no history of malice between them. As Luna described her take on the Kings Cross explosions, Simon appraised her rather more thoughtfully than she had expected. So rarely was she anxious and so rarely was Simon so caring, so the memory would prove to be one that stuck in her mind for quite some time. She blinked, her grey eyes catching Simon's own, surprise mirroring concern.
Reaching out, Luna trailed her thumb along Simon's cheekbone, her touch light as a feather. "Thank you," said Luna, and she was surprised that she really meant it. "It's easy to be overshadowed when you're a triplet," she went on. Simon pulled her into his chest, holding her tightly, the pressure of his arms around her releasing the tension within her. After a long, silent moment, she tilted her head up, catching his lips in a dizzying kiss. "It can be... sometimes it's only murky glimpses. Other times it's clear as day. This was the worst one... and sometime I worry that worse still is yet to come," said Luna. "So rarely are they something nice. Like a wedding. Or a Quidditch player winning a match," she added. "Well, hopefully I'll be able to see those things with my own eyes at my own experiences. It's so foreign to see something and yet feel so emotionally disconnected from it," said Luna, frowning.
"They're quite random, but more likely to happen if I'm with Selene and Phoebe. The same goes for them. It was why we so frequently traveled in packs when we were younger - anything we could see, we could use. At least, that's what I told them. Everything has a purpose," said Luna with a dark chuckle. So long, her life had been dictated by usefulness - and it still was. She preferred to call it ambition.
Luna steered the conversation back to Simon - she wasn't sure what being half a vampire entailed. She tilted her head slightly as Simon explained, her lips pursing. "Isn't a vampire technically dead? And not have blood? So how can he... well... you know." Though they'd done that exact thing themselves not a quarter of an hour ago, Luna's face flushed scarlet at the mention of it. "Wonder if that's more that you're Swedish than that you're a vampire," she shot back slyly. "So do you have to like... ask for blood? Or do you just randomly cut people or something? Are you on site when someone needs a blood transfusion?" asked Luna, rather more quickly than she had meant to. "Sorry." She wasn't very sorry at all though. It was all very intriguing, and Luna wondered if perhaps she ought to have paid more attention in class to learn these sorts of things. "You entrancing loads of girls with your voice then, Svendson? Wonder if you'd do better to keep your mouth shut - there are plenty of better uses for it," she added with a mischievous look.

Luna raised her hand to his face, touching him and gazing at him with a softness that he didn’t know was possible to share with her. She explained it was easy to be over shadowed as a triplet and a part of him felt like he understood what she meant, to an extent, being a fraternal twin. Simons expression softened as his gaze fell on her, ”Y’know, I feel like a bloody crybaby for complaining about having a fraternal twin when we were younger. Sofia and I are 40 seconds apart, and we used to get pissed for having to share the same birthday...I couldn’t imagine sharing the same face.” he jested playfully with a smile as the pad of his thumb stroked her cheek gently. ”Although, I can tell the difference between you, now, it's probably annoying as fuck when people mistake you for Selene or Phoebe considering you carry yourselves completely different.” Simon reassured her as a hand traveled down her side, keeping her tucked close.
Simon was silent as he listened to her explain what she saw and how complex it could be. It sounded extremely stressful, honestly. Simon never knew the extent of the triplets' powers, even if it was a topic around the school often, he never thought about it until he heard it from Luna. It was interesting and terrifying at the same time. A part of him could almost understand why she acted the way she did. They were quiet for a moment but it wasn't awkward. It was nice to just be with Luna, he wasn't thinking about anything or anyone else. "This might sound daft, but are there any ways to hone in on these sorts of abilities?" he asked in a genuine interest. He knew nothing about Divination. "I understand it can't be 'taught' but have you considered seeing someone who can help you understand and control it more if you wanted?" Simon followed with another question, hoping it didn't sound invasive because he wasn't trying to be nosy, this time. Simon was sure it was something she had considered or denied in the past but he was curious especially if it seemed to be a sore spot in her life.
Simon cocked his head to the side at her question, unsure how to answer it. ”Woow” Simon erupted with a laugh as his face slightly flushed with hers. He was pretty sure she was making a 'boner joke' of some sort regarding his Pops. His expression fell slightly awkward as he laughed again, ”Well….vampires drink blood…so maybe it goes down there.” Simon said slowly a hint of humor in his voice before admitting, ”I’m not sure of the scientific reasoning behind it, actually, but I'm the result of it soo-” his eyes flickered with amusement as he shrugged with another laugh. Luna continued to ask questions, his head cocked to the side as he watched her face glimmer with curiosity, it was cute to see her appear unsure about something for once in her life. He was happy to enlighten her about vampires if she wished to learn. "Well, half vampires like Sof and I will get cravings which makes us feel sick, moody, or just generally crappy, so we go to the Infirmary and they give us a 'blood bag', or in minor cases a blood lolly." he told her, trying to read her expression if she thought it was weird or not. "It's donated blood, or animals, but the human stuff tastes better. I've never drank live blood because I've been told it could be dangerous due to draining someone." Simon wasn't sure if he had answered her questions but he felt like he was running his mouth forever.
Her comment about using his mouth for other things was still ringing in his ears, so he smiled, ”Well, don’t mind if I do..” he insisted with a smile, capturing her lips into a deep kiss, tasting her and realizing he was starving as the room around them fell away.

Luna and Simon shared a particularly tender moment, the depth of which neither could fully understand. For two people who had so often inhabited the fringes, never allowing anyone to get really close and hiding under one facade or another, this moment was meaningful. At least, for Luna. She looked at him with an uncharacteristic softness, allowing herself for just these few moments to let her guard down. She explained how it was difficult to be one of three - to share the same face and do everything she could to just stand out enough to be recognised. "Having a twin is hard too. What about your parents affections? Phoebe was always the most gentle and the favourite... I can imagine Sofia probably resented the shadow you must have cast on her," said Luna with a hint a smirk.
"I'd rather be mistaken for Phoebe than Selene. Phoebe is... loved. She is pure and everything. She has forged her own path, but Selene and I always seem to be at odds with one another," said Luna with a frown. She didn't particularly like speaking ill of her sisters, but the tension between herself and Selene had come to a fever pitch recently. Luna took a deep breath, mulling over her words. Simon silently listened as she explained her sight, and Luna found talking to him as easy as breathing. It was a very foreign feeling, especially with a bloke. She'd never even considered Simon a friend - more of a nuisance than anything. Yet somehow he had picked apart the hardened shell, perhaps when she had broken his nose he'd also cracked her carapace.
Luna pondered Simon's question. "I don't know. I've only ever known of one other seer - usually they are protected fairly well as the ability to see is quite... coveted," said Luna. "But then again, we're not really sure how our sight works. Selene has the gift of prophecy, and I've never benefited from learning more about it except to amplify our visions, and I haven't ever heard of other seers like me," she finished slowly. She pursed her lips thoughtfully. "It's a good suggestion though. Not one I've ever really thought of," Luna admitted.
It would seem both Simon and Luna were quite keen to find out more about the other. She flushed scarlet at her intrusion, her mind wandering before she could reel it back in. Simon looked delighted at her flustering, and tried to reason it out. Luna let out a reluctant chuckle. "Well, I suppose the scientific reasoning could be that it's magic." She waved her hand, fluttering her fingers as she did so. His eyes flickered with amusement, and Luna had the sense that she was forgiven for her misstep. "Well, suppose the prefects should be thankful - they need to hone their detention giving on someone," said Luna after a moment of thought.
Simon described his desire for blood, and how the infirmary helped to satisfy it. He'd had human and animal blood, but preferred human. Luna's eyes narrowed ever so slightly, analysing the way Simon spoke, the way his lips moved as he did so. His teeth didn't look sharper than any she'd seen before in her life. She quirked a brow, inviting him to put his lips to better use and kiss her. He obliged at once, capturing her lips in a manner that was almost sinful. Luna returned his kiss with earnest, clutching Simon closer still. After a long, breathless moment, she broke away, only to murmur a single phrase. "Bite me, Simon. And this time, I mean it."
