Alice had woken up quite a bit ago but she had remained in bed processing her thoughts. She had talked everything out with her father last night, but it didn't mean that she was still okay with or happy about the situation. She didn't dislike Aurora any less just because she had had a conversation with her father. She was not in the mood to head down into the kitchen and have to deal with it all again. Or... maybe it had all been a dream. The Lestrange girls being in her house, the crying in her father's arms... but then again, Alice had hardly slept well at all so the dream theory was out of the question. With a heavy sigh, Alice got out of bed but did not bother to change out of her pajamas. Her puffs moved around on her pillow then nestled back next to one another after Alice had gotten up. Oscar had not even moved. Such was typical of the fat, lazy cat. Alice let out a breath as she made her way for the door and out into the hallway.
There was no way that everyone else was still asleep. Her parents were definitelyawake. Jayden? Well, he was probably the only one asleep. Phil was more than likely awake and the Lestrange girls? Well, Alice hoped silently that they weren't still there although she knew they would be. Alice slowly descended the staircases and stopped midway when she saw two figures in the doorway to the kitchen. Phil and Andromeda, from the looks of it. Alice glanced at the top of the doorway, eyeing the mistletoe. She couldn't hear what was happening in the kitchen or what the two were saying but whatever it was, she didn't like it. Alice rolled her eyes and let out a scoff. That was when she heard a thud.
Looking back down at the two in the doorway, she saw Phil speed into the kitchen. Andromeda followed him shortly after that after taking down the mistletoe. Alice raised an eyebrow and continued down the stairs. She could smell the food and realized finally how hungry she was after skipping dinner the night before. Finally she appeared in the doorway, folding her arms in front of her chest. Then she saw Jayden on the floor. Her eyes widened and she went into protective older sister mode, a mode that Alice rarely had to enter because her brothers were so capable of taking care of themselves anyway.
"What happened?" She said urgently looking down at Jayden. She wasted no time shooting a dirty glance up at Andromeda but then felt instant guilt after she remembered what her father said last night. "It was for their own good." Why were they hear for their own good? What could possibly been happening that a Lestrange couldn't handle? The idea made Alice infinitely curious but at the moment she was more worried about her younger unconscious brother on the kitchen floor.

One part of Neville wanted to point out that Hannah was the one who liked having mistletoe up. The other part of him wanted to stay married though, and it was to this part that he listened. Particularly under the blistering gaze of his wife’s Look. So he nodded his assent, even as Jay decided to point out the double standard and look for the logic in it. On the plus side, his wife’s attention would be back on their youngest. But nobody, nobody in this room wanted to hear this explanation. Neville was already considering that he would need to sit Philip down later and explain to him the boundaries he needed to recognize. If his son was interested in Andromeda, he wouldn’t stand in their way…but neither would he make it easy for them to take things too far, too fast. If he’d known about it earlier, he could have set up wards and enchantments to make sure they couldn’t enter one another’s rooms alone. Well, at least he couldn’t tell Hannah what he didn’t know. Bad enough that he’d sprung two surprise children on her. Worse still that one made her only daughter angry just by existing. If she’d known this too, she might have demanded he house them elsewhere, regardless of whether it wouldn’t have helped them out as much. And in the end, he wouldn’t have argued with her.
As he moved over toward the doorway with exaggerated caution, keeping slightly amused eyes on his wife, Jay made to stand and knocked over the glass of juice. He paused, eyeing the boy. Jay wasn’t clumsy normally. When he stood up, Neville saw him wavering, his eyes unable to focus, and knew what was coming. As Jayden crashed out, Neville’s hand rushed to his waist, pulling the wand from its loop and waving it in one smooth motion, solidifying the air for an instant, cushioning Jay’s fall at the last minute. Philip rushed forward like the good big brother he was, but Neville was too busy Summoning things for his wife. They were parents to three children, veterans of war, leaders: they’d dealt with sickness and emergencies too many times to overreact. And even if this was more serious than a fainting spell, staying calm was important. He vanished the spilled juice, banished the glass to the sink, summoned washcloths and a basin of water, dried herbs, and a pillow for Jay’s head. While he did this, Alice appeared and—much to Neville’s delighted surprise—followed Phil’s example. He smiled at the concern, though he didn’t miss the glance at Andromeda. Well, some things wouldn’t be fixed just overnight.
“Calm down now, give your mother a minute.” He stood behind them all, letting Hannah have a look, rather than crowd her or her patient. If she needed something, she knew she just needed to ask. And if it was bad enough, she’d send him on ahead to St. Mungo’s to get started on checking Jay in. He put a hand on Andromeda’s shoulder as he watched. “It’ll be fine, there’s no need to panic,” he said, loud enough to be speaking to Alice and Philip, but he squeezed the Lestrange girl’s shoulder slightly, so she’d know he meant that in more ways than one for her. He didn’t know what she’d learned to expect for daring to have her own opinions and feelings, but he suspected it wasn’t considered alright. But she was no stray cat, to be thrown out on a whim. She was safe here, feelings or not.
But they could talk later—though he suspected his wife wanted to be the one to talk. No way did Hannah miss the girl averting her eyes like that. Either way, they’d get it cleared up. Now he refocused his attention on his son. Hannah was an accomplished Healer, who could get a job at Hogwarts or St. Mungo’s if she wanted it. His own healing knowledge was passable, but mainly limited to injuries sustained in combat. Best he could do was to just stay out of her way and wait for instructions.

Phil and Andy were lucky that Jay had fainted.
Hannah stood as soon as Jayden fell, noticing the way Andy was avoiding eye contact with her as she set the mistletoe down on the table. Hannah knew the Mistletoe would be back, they always had a lot of it creeping about especially at this time of year. Still, she sensed a talk coming between herself and the Lestrange daughter, whilst Neville would be speaking with Phil. She didn't have time to worry about that at the moment, however, as she calmly moved to Jaydens side, accepted the wet cloth and started dabbing Jayden on the head with it. "Darling," her voice was soothing and gentle. There was no point startling someone back into consciousness.
She started working with the herbs, holding the scent under his nose to wake him up. Neville had succeeded in catching him in time and pillowing his head, which mean a concussion wouldn't be an issue. Soon, Hannah saw Alice at her side and smiled at the blonde, "he'll be all right, just a little over exertion I think," she was worried, however, that simply walking down the stairs was considering overexertion.
She turned back to look at Neville, "we should get him to the couch and bring some food to him as soon as he wakes up," then she turned to Alice and Phil, "would you two get a plate ready for him? And a glass of orange juice please. And Andy," she turned straight to the brunette, "would you get a blanket? There are plenty in the closet just in the hall there," now that everyone had jobs, Hannah turned back to awakening her son.

someone was shaking him. why was someone shaking him. he couldn't seem to force his eyes open to tell them to stop it. voices. there were voices around him. his parents? they had been there. phil and andy too. why couldn't he make himself wake up? he could hear them all. smell them .. smell! what the heck was that. whatever it was it seemed to do the trick and made it possible for jayden to stir. opening his eyes he groaned at the smell of whatever his mother was waving under his nose and he pulled his head back as sharply and as quickly as possible. he saw them, his family all staring down at him with worry on their faces and for a moment he stupidly thought to himself, why? why were they staring at him. he was only laying on the ground. oh right. the memory of what had happened flooded back to him and he closed his eyes, lifted a hand to his face and pressed his fingers into them as he turned his head into the pillow that was cushioning his head. "please tell me that didn't just happen ..." he mumbled into the pillow, begging for it to be a bad dream. he'd fainted. like a girl he'd gone and fainted.
hearing his mother telling people what to do he lifted his head off of the pillow, having to ignore the way his head spun around vividly again but he didn't need any of that. he needed to sit up, get back to the table and pretend like that hadn't happened. it hadn't been the first time in the word he'd passed out while sick. when he'd had one of his many illnesses while growing up, it had been an occurrence that had happened more than once. though it hadn't happened in a while. which made this time all the more sucky for him. he shook his head a little, pushing himself up onto his elbow and turning a little onto his side to look at her. "i'm fine mum. i don't need any of that" he said, though he did have to hide his mouth behind his hand as he coughed. once finished he pulled his legs closer to his body and moved into a sitting position, not about to let anyone stop him from sitting up at least. "tell me i at least looked cool passing out?" he asked, pasting a half smile on his face in order to stop the fuss that was happening and try and get the morning happening again. without this attention on him.
occ - he's fine, really @hannah, @superluigi64, @philip, @alice, @kay and @lestrange
