▲ August 8th, 2026 Saturday night graveyard shift. Things had cooled off immensely since the Hogwarts incident in May. Thankfully. Finn felt like there wasn’t too much left for her to do in regards to her original task as a MACUSA auror assisting in the capture of Azkaban breakouts and other high-priority targets, but here she was still. Sticking on as one of the few remaining Americans felt strange. Even her first goal upon arriving in London, after getting Ouroboros off the ground, was done and dead. For the first time in years she actually felt bored. It wasn’t the same type of boredom that had eaten away at her so much that she quit her job and left New York City for here. To her it was a normal boring, and it wasn’t begging her to find anything crazy to do for once in her life. She was sort of tapped out in that regard. Doing vigilante work then dating a real life prince, following it up by going on manhunts, and capping it all off with search and rescue inside of a burning castle. Two years of jam-packed action and new experiences. Now she was finally starting to understand what it meant to have things be slow and regular. Even during the quieter months in New York it was never like this. The weekend night shifts had a different feeling. With the majority of the Ministry offices and departments being devoid of life during these hours, she often found herself wandering the halls. If anyone asked, she was just patrolling. The addition of the magical phones meant she could be anywhere within the vicinity and receive a call if she was needed, meaning long gone were the days of being stuck at her desk waiting for owls to show up and tell her where to go. It was so much easier. Unfortunately for her though, tonight she was stuck at her desk. The other couple of aurors on with her had gone to grab food for all of them, meaning she needed to be there if a call came into the office. As most of the other MACUSA team had left and headed home over the last few months, mostly in preparation to get Ilvermorny ready for the influx of Hogwarts students now (and how ironic was that?), her desk had recently been moved back in with the Ministry crowd. Previously she had been shoved into a corner with her gang, which was sort of awesome but led to weird turf wars. It was all in good fun, but with it gone now, she was so damn bored. Legs kicked up on her desk and trying to blink away the encroaching sleepiness, she started to hum to herself. Eventually food was going to be here… MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

we need a storm let's pray for rain now James blinked a few times and rubbed his eyes as he tried to read a report for the third time. At this point, the effort felt futile as his eyes began to cross instead of focusing on the words. It was his turn to take the late shift and help catch up on paperwork and reports, especially now that they had plenty of new faces in the office. Trainees who wanted to make a difference in the world and James would help them through their next couple of years. Many of these trainees had survived that fire, and for most, it had made them more determined and certain of their chosen path.
It was also too quiet for James. He closed the folder and threw it back onto his desk with the rest. Standing up, he stretched his arms and his back after sitting for so long and decided to take a stroll to see who else was working late. Also, he figured he might stop by the Auror’s offices and see what he could change on his brother’s desk to bother him. It wasn’t his idea. Lily had requested it if James had the time and the opportunity. And what kind of big brother didn’t help his younger sister out? As he walked down the empty hall, he saw a face here and there in their various offices, but not anyone he recognized—until he did.
There was a face he hadn’t seen in some time. James had, but only in passing as MACUSA worked with the Aurors and Interpol but hardly directly with the Hit Wizards. ”So which is worse? The night shift or Border Patrol?” James, by virtue of being a Potter, still heard things. Plus, he’d been curious when Claire had gotten placed on Border Patrol. Sometimes one couldn’t escape the politics of the office. James had met Finn years before at the inception of Ouroboros after his father had disappeared. It had been a rough time for most—not that he liked to think back on it too much. Now he had memories of the fire that lingered instead, which Finn had also experienced first hand.

▲ She knew it was only the echo of one set of footsteps coming down the hallway towards the Auror office, but that didn't keep Finn from getting her hopes up that it was the crew with all the food. They'd only left a little while ago so it was almost impossible for them to be back by now. Especially if they were going to get no-maj fast food in London. A few of them weren't complete idiots about the mundane world so that would keep everything in line and back to her without it being cold. Maybe. Instead, the footfalls belonged to a one, James Potter, whom Finn hadn't conversed with in a while. During Order meetings prior to the split, definitely. Since then, not really. She'd had her duties before bungling them all up and being subjected to border patrol and Slater, and that kept her far away from the Hit Wizards. During the Hogwarts incident they'd been near each other but their roles were different during the battle and evacuation. They didn't want her blowing up anymore buildings it seemed. "Whats up!" Finn called to him as he entered the office. His question about which was worse, this or border patrol, was definitely a good one. "Probably this. I'm a busybody. Need to have my brain constantly stimulated while I'm on the job," she explained. "I kind of liked getting under Slater's skin too. She's a nice kid." Finn had never taken anything to heart that Claire had said to her; she knew that the circumstances behind their pairing only came about because they'd both bungled the same case when neither of them had been assigned to it. Trying to wiggle her way under the other woman's thorny defense was essentially impossible once she had a determined belief about what Finn was like. She was sort of right when it came to being a loose cannon that needed constant supervision, but sometimes things needed to blow up to get the job done. "Cop a seat Potter. There should be food in. a few minutes," Finn added as she pointed at an empty chair. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

we need a storm let's pray for rain now Finn almost seemed just excited that anyone had appeared. Though James was equally happy that he’d found another living person at this time of night. Personalities such as his own did not belong on the night shift. It was far too quiet for his busy brain. He approached her desk and gave a slight smirk at the mention of Claire. ”But that’s far too easy.” It really was, and he considered it just an item on his list of favorite past times and hobbies to annoy Claire. ”What worked for you?” James asked curiously, nonetheless. IT was a chance to make mental notes on new approaches for his father’s favorite student.
”I managed to shift everything on her desk just a little to the left once. I was almost done before she caught me.” And then she’d proceeded to stumble to her chair though that process had involved trying to run over James. While he had never confirmed it, there was that knowledge that something had happened to her, especially when he realized he wasn’t the only one to notice. He graciously accepted the seat offered to him, and he perked up at the mention of food, his eyebrows raising a moment and his eyes lighting up. His mother still called him a growing boy, and between Quidditch and now his current work, he was always hungry, but his over six-foot frame demanded it.
”What kind of food?” What was even open at this hour? After staring at all those reports, he could hardly string complicated coherent thoughts together. ”I think Bianca has me on night shift almost permanently now.” James lamented, his last few words spoken through a yawn. He blinked a few times through bleary hazel eyes. ”She always said I talked too much.”

▲ “I just talk constantly. And she sort of just deals with it,” Finn laughed. The first day they had been paired together had been hilarious, Claire having given up the coffee that had been brought for her. The more caffeine the better though, so it wasn’t like she was complaining about that. Talking Slater’s ear off had basically put her into submission, and while there were still verbal squabbles, Finn was pretty sure they were friends. Or something like that. Claire was good at what she did but also needed to learn some humility, which is exactly what Finn had learned that got them teamed up together in the first place. James explained that his prank on her had been to move everything slightly to the left, and while that was seemingly mundane, she could see how doing the whole thing would drive the other woman bonkers. If anything was out of place it could turn into a cataclysmic event. Another laugh rolled out of her as she pictured what Claire had definitely looked like in the moment. Food was bound to be the heart of their discussion, but unfortunately she didn’t know what the others were grabbing. “Hopefully pizza. It hits most of the food groups that the no-maj have. My doc says otherwise, but what do they know?” Finn shrugged. Pizza was on her menu at least three nights a week, a sharp decrease from what it had been back in New York. Blishwick orders were scarily frequent and she was proud to be on a first name basis with most of the staff there. They were the only place with actually decent pies. “Oh? Not protecting the fairy queen anymore?” she prodded. That had been an interesting situation when it presented itself. Finn had thrown her name into the hat just for fun, but obviously was never going to be chosen. Not after the building incident. Even if she had done good work in May at Hogwarts, she still had to keep to her assigned work. “What was that like? I’ve only seen her from a distance whenever she visits.” MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

we need a storm let's pray for rain now James stifled a laugh. It really was far too easy to knock Claire off balance, and it was amusing. She threatened to hex him into the next century but had yet to follow through on that threat. Even when he had carefully moved everything on her desk slightly once. At least the time, she hadn’t caught him red-handed. Watching how her hand moved on auto-pilot to reach for a quill, but the quill was moved slightly to the right. The thought of food and pizza suddenly made him feel very hungry. As if focusing on how bored he was had taken his mind off his hunger.
His mother was still somehow amazed and just how much he could eat. His grandmother was always delighted when James visited and had an appetite. ”If they do, I hope it’s from Blishwick’s.” The first time James had visited the establishment was earlier that Spring. An exciting and hectic event, but a fun one nonetheless, and he’d returned several times. As far as food groups went, he vaguely remembered Ariadne mentioning something about that. It was part of her training, but while James tried his best to be the perfect and attentive boyfriend, his attention span had another agenda. ”Ariadne mentioned food groups once, but my grandmother insists that as long as you’re never hungry, it's fine.” And as a mother of a huge family, maybe she had a point.
James shrugged. He hadn’t seen the High Druid since his last assignment. ”I haven’t heard that she’s returned for a visit.” Their conversation had been enjoyable, and she had a calming presence. As a Potter, James had met and shook hands with previous Department Heads and Ministers for Magic as a boy, but there was still this air of authority and superiority to them. Fae was different but in a good way. ”It wasn’t what I expected. I remember meeting Germany’s Minister once, and I felt as if I had been trying to talk to a wall transfigured into a person.” Cold and closed off and purely here on business. ”My Aunt always spoke highly of her. And I can see why.” Quickly, he forced down the lump that still formed in his throat when talking about his Aunt, but he liked to remember the good things. ”She has this—“ James scrunched his face slightly as he tried to think of the right word. ”—ethereal presence.”

▲ Finn had dealt with a lot of hardheaded characters back in New York. The city was the home of them after all, and she knew from the beginning that she could drive Slater up a wall if given a chance. Rules and regulations didn’t work at all in this business, and that was something she had noticed about the Ministry in general. There seemed to be a lack of law enforcement that played fast and loose with everything. She liked it the way it was back home, where as long as she didn’t accidentally break the statute of secrecy or kill someone, anything went. At the same time, there weren’t a bunch of explosion crazy magic users in New York City. Dealing with potion smuggling and creature trafficking was far different from the radicals here. But that was what kept her on her toes and made Claire a grouch. It was funny to see that she wasn’t the only one that found pushing the other auror’s buttons hilarious. “You grandmother is wise. My doctor probably wouldn’t like her either,” she snorted. Finn knew a bit about the Potter family, and by extension the Weasley family, as she’d been in the area long enough now. It seemed like another one was always popping up whenever she thought she knew them all. Clearly they were being fed well if there was a grandmother with that ideology floating about. “Think she’d be against adopting me like, once a week or something? I spend way too much on take-out. It’s almost double what I did back in New York. Especially now that Blishwick’s is open.” It was an addiction like she’d never experienced before. The man definitely spiked his pizza dough with love potion, because that was the only way she could figure out how it constantly drew as many customers as it did. His enthusiasm was enough to scare some, but the pies brought them right back and then some. If the druid queen – or whatever the actual title was (in which Finn believed it should be queen) – were to come back again soon, she was intent on being annoying enough that a superior would eventually have to allow her to be on guard duty. Plus she was sort of good with royalty or whatever. It didn’t matter that the last one was only because she was sleeping with him, but yeah. She only dropped one building on top of them. If the druid leader stayed away from large, abandoned no-maj buildings, Finn could guarantee a safe trip. Maybe Claire could join and be less of a grump. That would be nice. Throughout all of this, Finn only caught the end where James said that the High Druid had an ethereal presence. That totally made sense considering she drew the attention of everyone in the Ministry whenever she stopped by. No one else showed up in giant flowy dresses that looked like they were straight out of a fairytale. Personally, she’d have to have a wand held to her throat and be forced to jump into one of those, and still wouldn’t look anywhere close to as radiant as the High Druid did. It was hilarious how unfair it was. “She’s mesmerizing. And they get to keep her all to themselves over on that island of theirs.”MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

we need a storm let's pray for rain now There were always those personalities around that were easy to provoke. James had grown up around such a large family that there were a few there as well. His brother grew frustrated quickly and would run to their mother. His father would try his best to hide whatever smirk or smile was on his face from their mother. But she had a glare that could compete with a Basilisk. James had once asked Brigh about Claire’s siblings, were they all like her, and much to his surprise, they really weren’t. She said the youngest, her sister was similar but far less easy to provoke. But they both supposed that made sense from a headstrong Slytherin.
”Yes, well, Ariadne would never argue with my grandmother. So she only lets me know that I’m eating my way to heart failure.” Not that magical medicine couldn’t fix most of their maladies. Still, there were some that whether you were a muggle or a wizard, it worked all the same. And aside from the basic healing spells he learned in training, James didn’t have the same extensive knowledge Ariadne did due to her training and eagerness to learn as much as possible. James grinned broadly. ”She’d love nothing more than to feed this entire department.” Perhaps a slight exaggeration, but his grandfather had once commented about the tea, coffee, and cafeteria here. James sincerely thought his grandmother would faint from the horror of it. ”You have the right hair color.” The famous Weasley red hair hadn’t passed to James or Albus. But most, if not all, of his cousins, had inherited it.
And truthfully, anyone he’d brought over for a visit had been welcomed warmly. He would always be grateful for how she’d accepted Ariadne with open arms. For a brief moment, he had considered bringing the Druid Queen for a visit, he’d already brought her to his father’s bar, and she had enjoyed that. But Bianca would probably say that as a foreign dignitary and leader of her people, she was to be treated a certain way. Plus, Molly would likely lose her mind at the thought of someone of such high standing visiting The Burrow. James nodded in agreement. Mesmerizing was a good word for it. ”She’s rather pleasant to talk to as well.” James had been surprised by how easily the conversation had flowed. ”She isn’t that much older than us, you know.” That part had surprised James. He was used to seeing people his father’s age or older in positions of power. But perhaps that gave the Druid Queen her unique perspective on things. ”She’s actually quite normal. Aside from the, you know, glowing.” Maybe it was the dresses, who knew.

▲ Heart failure or misuse of magic would be the way Finn kicked the bucket. If collapsing a building on top of herself wasn't bad enough, she could certainly eat herself to death with pizza. And honestly? What a great way to go. Finn happily grinned at the thought, because there honestly weren't too many greater things in life. Clogging her arteries one slice at a time could be considered one of her life-long goals. Finding herself a Weasley family member to hitch herself to would be a good idea, though she didn't know too many of them. Even just getting an invite to a meal would work for her. "So what I'm hearing is that there are so many of you, I could just pass myself off as a relative by hair color alone?" James's grandmother didn't sound senile, though definitely like she'd play along if given the opportunity. Switching back to her natural black hair had been swirling around in her mind for a while now. But why subdue her look when it so clearly bothered Claire? Making her colleague angry over silly things got her up and to work every morning. Finn had actually assumed the High Druid was younger than she was, as most of the druids she had encountered looked youthful. Like they had the Fountain of Youth at their disposal. Most likely it came from eating healthy and lack of pollution. Personally, Finn enjoyed inhaling smog while shoving greasy slices of pizza down her throat. If that chopped a decade off her life, so be it. "No kidding?" she said in surprise to the age. "If you ever get another shot at guarding her, toss my name out so I can tag along. Promise I won't blow anything up around her." On second thought, maybe not the best idea in the world. Royalty and Finn did not go hand in hand after her last incident. Accidentally hurting the High Druid would have way more repercussions than a member of the royal family who hadn't seemed to care about what happened to him. Sure, it led to her sabotaging her own relationship, but that was all her fault. "She doesn't have her own guards?" Finn added, realizing that it was kind of stupid for the Ministry to be wasting resources if the druids had their own systems. She would never complain if she had the chance to be a bodyguard, but still... MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

we need a storm let's pray for rain now Leaving this life at the hands of excellent food sounded quite wonderful. Better than all the other ways James had imagined himself dying or all the ways his mother and grandmother verbally imagined. Or the times his breath and heart had stopped as everything was mere inches from ending. A feast might not have produced the same level of adrenaline he sought, but it was just as satisfying. ”Pretty much. However, my grandmother is very sharp, so she might notice even if my aunts and uncles don’t.” His mother was equally sharp but chose her battles wisely. It was almost a shame none of her children had gotten her true level of patience—it was almost Slytherin-like. Still, he could already see the way his Uncle Ron’s brow furrowed as he tried to process if he’d genuinely forgotten once of his nieces and then gone along with it.
”Not that she would mind. A full house is her favorite thing in the world aside from a visit from her favorite grandson.” If James were the favorite, he didn’t know. Molly doted happily on all of them before beginning the unsubtle comments about great-grandchildren. James nodded. While he was typically sent alone, another person wasn’t a bad idea for a visiting dignitary and head of state. And Finn was another bright and fiery personality but from the States, which would likely fascinate Fae as well. Had she ever visited there? James had never thought to ask. MACUSA might have had business with the Druids, but who knew? ”She does but if they stick around I don’t notice them.” Actually he’d never thought to look. ”I think Rivera and everybody wanted to make sure someone more familiar with the area stuck with her.”
James also assumed his name had been a factor as well. Potter was a famous name due to his father, not in some infamous cringe way. Despite defeating a Dark Wizard and concluding a war, the Potter family was also old. And until Harry, also pureblood—not that it mattered. ”I wonder if they’ll continue their schooling here…” Hogwarts no longer existed, so where would the students take their exams? He hadn’t thought about all these things because he didn’t have to. ”If they are, then she’ll have to visit again, I’m sure.”

▲ If there were that many in the family, why even bother trying to pass off as one when she could just as easily marry into it. There had to be a couple eligible bachelors left in the Weasley family still. Going from a member of the royal family to stock standard wizard would be a tonal shift, but even she knew the former had been an unsustainable pipe dream. And then it all came crashing down. Literally. She chuckled at her stupid thought, momentarily forgetting she was talking to James about non-death defying stunts. Though he probably had a few that would make for good stories. She felt comfortable assuming that because she'd done enough stupid things on the job to know when there were others like her. Bending the rules could get one pretty far. "So your brother?" Finn interjected as James tried to prop himself up. She listened to the game plan that had apparently been developed to work with the High Druid. Mysterious guards that either were or were not there at all times seemed pretty cool to her. As a human wrecking ball at times, her idiocy on the job would probably keep them around and present if she ever nabbed that protection detail. "Natural camouflage makes sense. They're tree people after all." Or something like that. All she really knew was that they made killer wine and she'd never been drunker than the night she popped open a bottle of Wormwood's finest and drank it until she couldn't anymore. Suffice to say, the stuff was strong. James brought up a good point about the druids though: their children's schooling. Finn had sort of heard about how the older kids would come by for exams, per Ministry regulations, but the school was gone. Surely one of the other European schools wouldn't take them on for a week or two just to complete their higher exams. That seemed sort of pointless. "Maybe...apparently a lot of work has been done on the castle since. Haven't managed to get over there to see it myselfZ..." The last time she'd seen Hogwarts was during the search and rescue gaze following the night of burning. Finding a student here or there that had been paralyzed and pushed into a corner behind a dining hall bench, or a group of first years that locked themselves in a broom closet, was a relief, bringing the numbers of those lost down drastically. Thankfully Hogwarts was huge before, and it looked like the renovations were going all out for it. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

we need a storm let's pray for rain now James smiled slyly, shaking his head lightly. ”Only at my mother’s house.” One could be blind and see how Ginny doted on Albus. Protected him from his horrible older brother and younger sister as they mercilessly teased him. Even James’ father spoke openly about it. But he also doted on Lily, who sometimes needed some guidance to not go completely off the rails. ”Vic never visits, and I’m the next oldest. So, therefore, the favorite by default.” James announced. In all honesty, he had no idea if he was the favorite or not. Molly Weasley simply enjoyed her very large family. Although, she made it clear it was not large enough as she pestered James and others for great-grandchildren.
Now that was a scary thought, far scarier than anything he’d faced thus far in the Order or as a Hit Wizard. James shrugged. He had learned quite a bit about Druid culture as of late and through his interactions with Fae, but there was still a lot he did not know. His hope was that he could visit Hy-Brasil at one point. But James didn’t know if he could just pop over, how all that worked, or if he would go in a Ministry capacity. Maybe he would ask Bianca—or maybe not. He could write Fae, though that’s hoping his letter didn’t get lost in the massive amount of correspondence she probably received.
James clenched his jaw. The idea of returning to the grounds still made him uneasy. Everything still felt very fresh. The wound he took to the head had healed, but images remained fresh in his mind. Sometimes he’d stare off into space like he was daydreaming, only for Ariadne’s voice to bring him back to the present. She’d asked him about it, but James felt there was nothing to talk about. ”Well, it's too early to tell, I guess.” He shrugged lightly. ”Those meetings they’re having—the Professors…it all feels very secretive.” It was a vibe he got, not that he’d ventured down that hallway but he was just overly curious, probably.

▲ "Is that how it works?" As the oldest of two, Finn had often wondered who was technically her parents favorite. She'd jokingly tried to get them to admit it over the years, but that wasn't exactly a fair question to pose on them. They worried incessantly about the magical world that they really didn't understand as no-majs. She remembered them not being exactly thrilled about having to send Ellie abroad to Hogwarts, and then the calls she'd gotten following the school burning hadn't been...pleasant. All of the news they got was second-hand and late, so if she or her sister didn't break it, they were left wondering and that was almost worse. The nature of her work had always been watered down when she explained what she did to them. The equivalent being a detective of sorts, and they sort of understood that it had the potential to be more dangerous than what a no-maj police officer did. They still worried though, and it alternated between the sisters. She and Ellie talked about it frequently, because if there were concerns for one, the other was getting constant phone calls from their parents. And people said that New Yorkers didn't care... Secretive was probably the best way to go with rebuilding Hogwarts. Only certain people needed to know, and she and James were not them. Though having law enforcement privy seemed like it would be a good idea. To be honest though, Finn wasn't sure if she wanted to be back at the school anytime soon. She frequently had nightmares about it still, and she counted herself lucky that they weren't nearly as bad as what some encountered that night. Diminishing trauma was a bad habit of hers, especially when she seemed to have an affinity for buildings that were collapsing or on fire. There was almost too much of it in her life at this point, and finding a small cabin in the woods somewhere remote sounded better and better each time she found herself in one of these scenarios. "Its starting to get exhausting. Apparently this should be the end of it, but I'm tired of reacting to every attack, as if the Ministry didn't know the target was Hogwarts all along." It almost always was. At least that was how it looked to her, being from the outside and all that. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

we need a storm let's pray for rain now James wondered how many others shared his experience as the oldest of their siblings. Not to mention one of the oldest of his cousins as well. His mother fretted and worried about her little boy, the Auror. And his father ensured hurricane Lily didn’t cause too much chaos. They didn’t seem to worry all that much about James. Even when he got himself in some situation, it wasn’t that bad. But that was life in a large family, and he couldn’t imagine it any other way. The idea of the burrow being a quiet place to have dinner was disturbing. Even years later, he was sure it would be haunted by the ghost of his grandparents and more later on. It would never be quiet.
The attack had united many in solidarity, but there were still divisions everywhere he looked. Those that weren’t there, those that were. Those who found no reason to leave their homes anymore and the rest left jittery in anticipation of something happening. James knew he had fallen into that last bucket but tried not to think much about it. As much as he craved the adrenaline his job provided, the high stakes, and catching the bad guys, other assignments, such as escorting the High Druid, provided a different satisfaction. Or maybe it was simply the company because James found the Ministry representative from the United States rather dull. His monotonously slow monologues to himself almost put him to sleep. No, Fae was a curious person willing to answer and ask questions.
He sighed, slowly nodding his head. Despite all the success, it still felt like some debacle in the end. ”I hope so.” Even at just twenty-one, he felt weary of the battle that began when he was seventeen. ”The Ministry would have never figured it out.” James kept his tone lower. Even at this hour, someone could be eavesdropping. But he gave a knowing look to Finn. She’d once been in similar shoes. It wasn’t until the weeks after that they learned more of the untold plans in the preceding months. What his father had asked Ana to do for them, and how deep she’d dug to leave them inches from success. James shrugged again. ”I thought I’d seen the worst of it as a student.” That day in his seventh year. When they’d lost Ethan and others. He would have never imagined what would happen at the school next.

▲ There was a general understanding that the world governments were useless. By design, they were so wrapped up in legal tape that everything they did was reactionary. She'd worked under several Presidents and Ministers by now, and try as they might, they all failed at preventing the acts of terror that had transpired. While Britain dealt with the Purifiers, the US fumbled Chimera's Claw. These things never changed. And once these groups were taken care of, there would be new ones stepping in to fill the gaps. The law enforcement groups could harp on and on about being constantly vigilant, a great practice in theory only. There was no telling when these attacks would happen though, and that was why they were where they were right now. One group gone, another to form from its remnants probably. If the teaching thing went well, maybe she'd quit being an auror again. Whether or not that was inherently safer considering the amount of attacks both Hogwarts and Ilvermorny received over the last few years was something she'd have to experience firsthand. "I wish I could have my memory modified to forget it," she stated, in reference to the most recent incident. There was a point where Finn didn't know if she could actually be thankful that fiendfyre eradicated its victims. On one hand, that left nothing behind: no bodies, traumatic imagery, the likes. But that wasn't fair to the families. Those that had been paralyzed within the Great Hall, where she had spent most of that night, while alive in their frozen states, mimicked exactly what she thought it would look like in a nightmare scenario. This came back in her dreams at least once a week, its frequency letting up slightly over the last few months. "Merlin, where is that food?" Finn immediately changed the topic, attempting to spin it to a positive. Dwelling too long on that night would bring both of them down, and who needed that for the rest of the night shift? "If they end up getting pizza, it better be Blishwick's..." The thought alone made her salivate. Somehow, the entrepreneur managed to make pizza the right way, which literally no one in the UK could do. It had forced Finn to subject herself to chain pizza places, suffering at the hands of Domino's and the likes. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0
