News of the fire at Hogwarts hadn't been pleasant for Ri. He could only relax after knowing that Renfri was safe. Now Ri really knew how it felt when Renfri had heard about the fire on the ship. He couldn't focused on anything until he was sure she was unharmed. Glad that it didn't seem hard to get to her side, seeing as the Captains woman was also a teacher at the same school. With the school down though, that mean that they could spend more time together. She was on the restoration committee, so still had work, but so did he. Though, the couple had decided to take time off where they could really spend quality time with their love. To help prepare for their time together, Ri had gone to the cabin early to hunt for some meat while they were there. Catching three rabbits and a deer, he had hung his prey and drained them. Skinning them carefully and stretching the pelts so that they were well preserved. Being raised a druid, he was taught the respect nature and when they did eat from creatures, they used everything from their fur, to their bones. Banished or not, he still practiced this. Having a cabin, he had gotten back into that practice. It isn't exactly easy to process your hunted prey on a ship that was constantly moving.
The process pulled his mind the current events in the UK, sure Hogwarts had burned, but they had also gotten a new Minister. He had heard the name of the woman, and he knew the surname, Root. The past high druid of his childhood. He had even remembered with interacting with the older woman when he was a child. She would visit their island. At least that should help ease many of the Druid's worries about the ministry trying to overstep. Learning about this had honestly made Ri feel a little homesick, once again. The disconnect that he had finally started to get used to, came back with the memories of the Root woman when he was younger. He would have loved to see what good she would have done for the island of Hy-Brasil. But he was banished, never to return to the place of his birth and childhood.
The cabin that Ri had built for them was small, but cozy. It was exactly what they needed. A space to get away. They escaped from their work, their lives, everything but each other. The year moving into the summer months, the weather was turning warm. Ri had opened the windows allowing the fresh forest air to flow freely inside. Ri had prepared some of the meet to be smoked and cured, while he pulled some aside, for the next few meals. By the time He heard Renfri enter the clearing, he had just finished up making a meal for them. He opened the door, greeting the woman with a small smile, pulling her into him, and pressing his lips onto her. It was always good to see her. Pulling back his smile wider than it usually was, "How was your day?"
