PERSONALITY Marcelle at best can be described as an old soul, at a young age she was often doting over her siblings considering there is over a ten year difference among them. Motherly in nature, it has always been her desire to help others no matter the cost. This meant following in her muggle parents footsteps toward a profession in nursing, which was more inclined by being a Healer at St. Mungo's. She is very outgoing, and headstrong, which made for an interesting path at Beauxbatons. It was very hard for many to believe that she was muggleborn, and that the rest of her siblings were as well. She makes friends quickly and easily. Overall, she is just a very loving and tenderhearted person. In general her strongest desire is to make sure everyone else's happiness is covered first and foremost. Placing herself on the back burner in most situations. She is very compassionate and bold, not batting an eye for what she knows is the right thing. For a while it was just Marcelle and her parents, they had tried to get pregnant after her, but they could never get pregnant. Until Marcelle turned eight, in a few years after the birth of her younger brother, Marcelle received her letter for Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. To say that she was surprised was an understatement, but her parents didn't seem all too shocked. They had always claimed that she had a gift, a healing touch of sorts, when it came to particularly rough patients that they had, then suddenly would be healed. Often by just her touch, or by some herbal concoction she would whip up from their greenhouse on the hillside. Marcelle always had an affinity for plants and their healing properties. Marcelle learned quickly, excelling in all of her classes, picking up extra when she could. She wanted to learn everything about magic, about what life with magic looked like. What magical nursing looked like. She found herself studying often in the healing ward of Beauxbatons, or the greenhouses. Drawn to both plants and healing alike. While her studies were important, she would go home during the holidays and during the summer, excited to teach her younger siblings all about magic. Family was important to her, she often cared for them when their parents were busy with work, and would often act like mother of the house...except, she was more fun. Life was good. After graduation, Marcelle was quick to find a way into St. Mungo's as a Healer in Training, and lucky enough to find that the third floor, the Poisoning Department was also in search of a Apothecary in training as well. Thus, she was quickly thrust into her career, both for becoming a healer and for healing with plantt, and plant poisons. It wasn't long before she ran into Aymeric. There was something about him that was genuine, pure, that ultimately drew her to him. He enjoyed to travel especially for his job, but he at least attempted to make time for her. When his mother passed away, it was as if she felt it too. It didn't take long for him to propose after that, and for them to marry. It was quick, but she couldn't be happier. It wasn't long for their lives to become a very tumutulous experience. Her parents were killed in a car accident. The news, came from the second eldest in the family, shocked her to her core. Her siblings were all too young to fend for themselves. So while she was grieving, she had to make the decision on who would be responsible for her siblings care. It didn't take much convincing for Aymeric to agree that it should be them, and they moved into her childhood home in Vaucluse. It was a decision that Marcelle was grateful for. Her family meant the world to her, and to have Aymeric by her side through it was a blessing. It seemed that bad news followed them in waves. Aymeric's brother overdosed on a sleeping draught and was in St. Mungo's. Marcelle would tend to him as best as she could while tending to her duties on the third floor. Afterall, he was family. After assurance from his father Aymeric went back to business, and his brother was released once he recovered. Such was their relationship, always fleeting because of his job. He was always gone, leaving Marcelle to tend to the duties at home by herself. It caused her mixed feelings. While she loved Aymeric, she would never ask him to leave his job, something he loved, solely because she hated being alone...and craved him being near. On the same token, it created a ridge in their relationship. Then Marcelle was pregnant, and she felt even more alone with Aymeric always being gone. It wasn't until the birth of their son, Raphael, that things changed a bit for them. She was over the moon with joy over their son, and to have Aymeric home for the most part, she felt like this is what their relationship desperately needed. She felt that finally things would be turning the corner for them. Her siblings were headed to school, some were about to find their own way with graduating, and she would finally be able to just focus on Aymeric, Raphael, and her. When Aymeric received the offer to join the staff at Hogwarts, Marcelle was skeptical. They were finally back to how things should be, after their relationship was strained for so long. Yet, she didn't push back too hard. If this is what he wanted to do, she would support him. Her siblings, however, protested more upon moving onto the countryside near Hogsmeade to be closer while Aymeric held his position. They packed up the family and moved anyway, despite the protesting. Hag's fever hit. Causing a huge rift in the wizarding community, and it forced Marcelle to work more hours than usual. Luckily, her siblings were able to pick up the slack back at home and watch Raphael, but it was a big hit when it came to Marcelle being home. She didn't want them exposed to it, so she opted to stay at St. Mungo's to avoid getting her family sick. She kept writing them, keeping their spirits up, all the while she worked vigorously to find some kind of cure with plants and poisons. It was during that time she got close to her staff and the patients that resided at the hospital getting treatment. Even though she hated being isolated from her family, and her son, she felt that she was finally able to be herself and think for just herself. It luckily passed over, and Marcelle returned home. Back to the confines with her family, back to not being placed as of importance. To say that small taste of being able to think for herself, and only herself made her resentful upon returning was an understatement. Yet, she would never let her family see it otherwise. With the family relying and counting on her, her relationship with Aymeric still rocky, and her job life...there never seems to be any shortage of drama for the Loche/Courtmanche family. OOC
