Canaan sat at the bar, already a few whiskey's in, and he was watching the party scene before him. The mass of bodies that were dancing, the couples off in corners snogging, and hooking up in other more secluded parts of The Poisoned Spindle. He snickered at a young woman who was wearing very little clothes, leaving nothing to the imagination, and he watched as her hips swayed through the various bodies that were dancing all around. Their eyes locked briefly and Canaan raised his glass to her before finishing off his drink. Yet, Canaan remained seated at the bar. The seats were empty all around him, very few people were in attendence at the bar for the night. Most were doing the various activities that most did at the darker night club, where the law didn't really exist. Which was why Canaan sat in a pair of blue jeans, a nice black shirt, his blonde hair was slightly ruffled from where he had run his hands through, and his blue eyes examined. Sure, he was a part of the law for the Ministry, but to most here he was not a threat. It was a turn a blind eye situation, if he saw someone he knew, he likely would turn the other way and act like he had no idea who they were. He was off duty, and more importantly he was here for a distraction. So while the dancing, drinking, illegal activities continued around him, he sat there and finished another glass of whiskey ordering another round.

there's been some change but we're still outsiders February 2027 @canaan Ana could still recall when The Poisoned Spindle served a much nobler purpose than serving drinks to paying customers or playing the latest release of songs from famous magical artists. But she found herself dropping by now and then. Despite the crowds and the noise, it offered privacy for a drink compared to places like The Leaky Cauldron. Plus, she was far less likely to run into those from the Ministry here—or at least those that were here would not bother her if she did not bother them.
It hadn’t escaped her that the usual Ministry clientele might have had questionable connections of dubious backgrounds. Or at least suspected it to be. So when she walked in and forcefully squeezed her way through the crowd to the bar, she recognized the blonde head that looked in another direction for the moment. Another pureblood name in a world where their names were once on a wanted list. Ana remembered Canaan from when they were young. He was older than Damian and Alek. Her mother had been fond of him for his name and blood status and that he was some dashing, tall and handsome young man—but while Ana was not blind, she was not interested in some pureblood match. ”Nott.” She spoke, loud enough to announce herself as she sat next to his.
”Whiskey.” She asked the bartender, who stepped away for a moment. ”I heard they had you all working double shifts.” The Hit Wizards dealt mainly with the Aurors rather than Interpol unless it was a local issue
