Canaan was bored to tears. Luckily, most of his work was out in the field, tracking down "bad guys" of the wizarding world and then either bringing them in, or eliminating them. To which he was more inclined on the elimination or torturing part. Being one of the violent nature he just couldn't help himself. Plus, it was a good cover to be a Hit Wizard for the Ministry of Magic, and be able to feed his violent side that way, to uphold his families honor. It was all about appearances. Which was exhausting to Canaan. He hated political crap.
After the meetings were over, Canaan made his way to Asher Burke's office. Even though he was now the head of the Department of Mysteries, the complete opposite end of the Ministry, Canaan still liked to make an appearance every so often to his friend. The term friend was used loosely, but he wouldn't consider Asher to be an acquiantance or a business partner or anything, so that was the appropriate category to place him, he felt anyway.
Canaan sat down in the chair, kicking his feet up so he was propped against Asher's desk, and leaned back. Closing his eyes for a moment, he waited for the man to get back from wherever it was he had gone.
