To say that Marcelle needed some time with an old friend was an understatement. She was so used to the hustle and bustle at St. Mungo's that she often forgot that she did have a life outside of work and children. It had become common place for her to meet her friends in passing for lunch anymore as a break from her shift, that way she had some sanity left.
While Archie was more of her husband's life long friend, they too had grown close when she was introduced into the picture. It was hard to decipher where Aymeric's friendship with Archie started and where Marcelle's friendship with him began. She needed friends like this. Those ride or dies that she knew she could count on with anything...even if it was originally her husband's.
So, Marcelle sat at a table at the Leaky Cauldron, drinking a cup of warm tea to soothe her bones. She was weary, things were abnormally busy at work, and it seemed like her home life was just as crazy. Being thrust into motherhood at a young age was not something that she had envisioned, and while she wouldn't admit to anyone, she often missed what life would have been like with Aymeric if they hadn't taken on the additional responsibility of her siblings.
Marcelle sighed, closing her eyes briefly and just allowing the warmth of the drink to soothe her as she waited for Archie to arrive.
