Fae's reply to his question was, "No." That one word was all she said for a moment, and Scorpius wasn't sure if he needed to jump in to clarify that he hadn't been completely serious when he had brought it up to her. Offending the High Druid seemed like it was probably pretty high up on the list of things not to do in conversation with a Druid—and especially not the High Druid in the flesh. Scorpius almost thought that would be the end of their conversation right there, and he was mentally preparing his apology to her. How would he come back from that in a café full of people?
Scorpius resigned himself to a life of being known not only as the Malfoy who had an interest in Muggles. Instead, he would be the Malfoy who had an interest in Muggles and who unintentionally offended the High Druid of Hy-Brasil at a cat café. That would go over well with his family. At least he would retain his dignity with the cats.
"But should anything ever happen to this café, they would all be welcome on Hy-Brasil," Fae went on to state. Either it was the feline who had just nuzzled her that had changed her mind, or he had misread her reaction, since it sounded as though she hadn't shut down their discussion after all.
Scorpius nodded his head for fear of saying anything that might land him in hot water, but that moment didn't come. Rather, Fae thanked the cats for having been therapeutic. Although she was still covered in a visible amount of cat hair, she asked him if there were any similar cafés around. In particular, she mentioned her desire to visit one for dogs.
Sometimes people brought their pets along with them to cafés or pubs, but Scorpius had never come across a dog café specifically. If cat cafés were popular enough to gain a presence in the magical world, though, then there must have been dog cafés somewhere, too. He just wasn't sure where any of those were. "Er… Muggles have organizations for adopting dogs," he commented, "but I'm not familiar with dog cafés…" Going somewhere just to play with them would require her to volunteer her time or be hired as some sort of employee, he guessed.
The concept of having a place to go whenever a person was in need of some time with dogs wasn't a bad one, but Scorpius knew that he wouldn't be the right person to establish such a business. If enough entrepreneurial Animagi got together, though, he imagined that they could make a fortune off the idea.
"I could check the WWWW for you? It's like having access to a massive library," he offered. Druids were even less welcoming of Muggle technology than most of the blood purists he'd grown up around, yet Fae was obviously open-minded in other ways. If he looked something up on the internet on her behalf, then she probably wouldn't be shunned by her people.
