December 27, 2026 Monday figured that she would have to take her sister at her word when Charlie dismissed her concerns about the possibility of her eating too much pizza at one time, saying that she wouldn't eat enough of it to make her throw up on Apparating back to their penthouse. In reality, Monday would clean up Charlie's pizza puke if it came to that, though she would probably hold the incident over her head for a little while. Maybe. She still owed Charlie for everything that she had done to save her life amid the destruction of Hogwarts, so she would keep it a secret between them if Charlie preferred for her to do that.
Though Charlie waltzed up to the counter to order first, she then changed her mind and told her to go. Monday nodded, assuming that Charlie needed a few more moments to make up her mind, and stepped forward. She ordered a slice of the cheese "But I'm A Creep, I'm a Weirdough" pizza for herself, which was a cheese pizza that was different from the usual because of its cauliflower crust. It wasn't exactly vegan, which their mother would have wanted, but the cauliflower crust definitely made it healthier… in theory, at least. She also ordered a pumpkin juice to drink and then glanced over her shoulder. "And then whatever my sister's getting…"

▲ It didn’t help her indecision at all with Monday ordering her slice almost instantly as the changed places in line. Instead of finding what she would like, her eyes instantly jumped to the slice that her sister had chosen. Charlie almost ordered the same, and it would be easy all around, but her eyes lasered in on a menu item that she didn’t recall seeing the last time she was here: ‘Jimbo’s Girl’. This was some sort of sick joke, right? There was literally a pizza named for his daughter, the girl that Charlie was hopelessly enamored by? Her brain felt like it was going to short-circuit just from the thought of getting it and bringing it home with her. That was like a dream come true. ”I’ll uhh…can I get a medium ‘Jimbo’s Girl’ please?” she decided anyways, giving Monday a side-eyed look. It wasn’t like Charlie had done anything to hide her infatuation. Fuck, this wasn’t going to help her lovesickness at all. And if Jimmie ever learned of this? Her only thought was that she just shot any chance she’d ever have right down. She didn’t even know if the other girl even thought about her outside of the context of being lent a t-shirt once upon a time. But for her, it was a daily occurrence. Now she was going to eat Jimmie’s favorite kind of pizza too. ”I’m hungry,” she added defensively, without even giving Monday a chance to respond to the order she’d made. Because getting a full medium pizza was what this was all about. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

December 27, 2026 Even once prompted to order her pizza, Charlie showed some hesitation. When her order came out of her mouth, though, the reason became a bit clearer. Charlie had ordered a medium pizza called the "Jimbo's Girl"… Obviously, Jimbo had stuck that one on the menu in tribute to his daughter, Jimmie, and Charlie had ordered it because… Well, she definitely had a crush on Jimmie.
Subtle, Monday thought in response to her sister's choice of pizza. Jimmie Blishwick wasn't exactly her favorite person. She wasn't actually evil or Dark or anything; she was just ridiculously annoying and more stuck-up than being Jimbo Blishwick's daughter gave her a right to be. She wasn't going to ignore Charlie's pizza order just because she wasn't a fan of Jimmie herself, though, and Charlie simply claimed that she was hungry.
With a nod to acknowledge Charlie's order, Monday then began to get out the payment for their respective pizzas. After being asked by the employee if Charlie wanted a drink with that, Monday looked over to her again. "Yeah, uh, Chuck? You want anything to drink?" Monday kept herself from mentioning love potions, but they were at Jimbo Blishwick's pizzeria. If they were on the menu anywhere, it would be there.

▲ Lost in daydreams. Something about ordering the Jimbo’s Girl pizza and how she wanted to be the girl of the actual Jimbo’s girl…Merlin. That would be the life. She could work over here, be with Jimmie, hang out with Monday whenever she wasn’t at work, be with Jimmie, not have a worry in the world…be with Jimmie. There was a sudden sound of her sister calling her, the Chuck nickname snapping her right out of her fantasy. If it had gone on any longer, she probably would have drooled on herself. Now that, would be embarrassing. ”I’m sorry, what?” she asked as she looked between Monday and the cashier, who was staring at her like she’d lost all of her gobstones. In a way, she had. ”A drink?” Charlie repeated back. ”Yeah…I’m thirsty ummm…” Thirsty for Jimmie Blishwick, and whatever they had on the menu. Soda seemed like an okay choice, but butterbeer to go was also on it. ”Can I get a butterbeer to go, please?” she asked. Blinking away the last few strands of daydream, she let out a long sigh. Whatever was she going to do about this conundrum? It was horrible being stuck at Ilvermorny for another half a year. ”I’m going to sit over there while we wait,” Charlie said as she nudged her sister’s arm to get her attention. Their pizzas would be quick, but she was starting to get tired. She’d had an exhausting day of hunting down her unrequited love and then cocooning herself in blankets on the couch. Tomorrow, she was back to LA and then a few days later shooting back over to Ilvermorny. There was really no rest, and she was sure her mom was going to try and get her to play dress up or whatever now that Christmas was done and over with. She let out another long sigh as she sat down and leaned heavily into her arm. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

December 27, 2026 Oh, Merlin. Charlie was totally out of it. Monday had spent her entire life as the oldest Weekly child, so she was beyond the point where she got easily embarrassed by her siblings. That said, she wasn't sure that Charlie wouldn't be embarrassed with herself when she realized how much she had spaced out.
Before she had to bring her sister back to earth, though, Charlie at least regained her awareness that they were ordering at the pizza parlor, and she needed to order something to drink if she was going to do that. It took her a moment to decide what she wanted beyond the fact that she was thirsty, but she settled on getting a butterbeer to go.
"I'm going to sit over there while we wait," Charlie let her know, nudging her to make sure that she had gotten her attention.
"Cool." That was fine by Monday, who wasn't sure that Charlie would be a huge help in carrying their pizza and drinks anyway. "I'll find you. No problem."

▲ It probably would have been better if she was on something, rather than being completely spaced out because of a girl. Today had been a lot and she made absolutely zero progress except stuffing her body full of garbage food and coffee-esque drinks. She and Monday were continuing that trend with the pizza, but at least it would make her feel better. Maybe. Slouching into her arm as she waited for Monday to place the order, Charlie blinked a few times to try and dash the tired away. Once she had food in her, it was going to be difficult to stay awake. Thankfully she didn’t really need to pack a bag, having an obscene amount of clothes still left here at Monday’s place. So aside from a few important personal belongings to throw into her carry-on, all she had to get ready in the morning was herself. Another long yawn followed as Charlie continued to think back on the day’s events. Even as an utter failure, it absolutely could have been worse. Taking out her phone and grabbing one of the loose menus on the table she’d sat at, Charlie snapped a picture of the restaurant’s logo. Uploading it to her social media account was the goal, but she probably wouldn’t do it until tomorrow when she was waiting for her plane. There was about to be a lot of waiting around in her immediate future. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

December 27, 2026 The service at the Pizza Emporium was pretty efficient, in Monday's experience, even though the place did good business. After paying and a few minutes of standing at the counter and waiting for their orders, there they were. Monday checked over that they had gotten everything right—a talent that she had honed at Witch TV from the countless coffee runs she'd made—and went over to the table that Charlie had found for them, carefully levitating the pizza as she held the drinks in one of those cardboard cup carriers.
"One slice of 'But I'm A Creep, I'm a Weirdough', one pumpkin juice, one medium 'Jimbo's Girl', and one butterbeer," Monday repeated as she organized it all on the table, scooting Charlie's pizza and butterbeer to her and putting her own single slice and pumpkin juice at her place before sitting down.
"I'm sorry we haven't been able to do anything super fun because of my work," Monday apologized. They both only got so much free time. "But I hope the pizza, like, kind of makes up for it?" She knew that it didn't really; it was just pizza. "At least until I can get out to Massachusetts to see you at school, I mean."

▲ The din of classic rock ripping out of the restaurant’s speakers wasn’t enough to fully distract her from looking over at the other patrons. One was a freakishly tall man with what looked to be a tattoo down his neck. Which clearly meant there were more. He looked familiar, Charlie assuming he was some famous wizard or something and was in the paper constantly. In her time back at Ilvermorny, she had forgotten to keep up with the Daily Prophet. British celebrities weren’t nearly as important back home as they were here, though there were a few. The realization that Professor Zabini was married to the Daphne Greengrass had been a surprise. Especially because they had met each other once because of her mom. It was a small world after all. Monday appeared at the table with all of their food, saying each order as she placed them down. Charlie pulled her pizza over to her, almost saying aloud that ‘Jimbo’s Girl’ was all hers, finally. She didn’t need her sister to think she was weirder than she already did. ”Thanks,” she said as she downed half of her butterbeer in one sip. The sickly-sweet butterscotch wouldn’t mix well with the pizza, but she didn’t care at this point. She was too hungry to worry about that, and it was all ending up in the same place anyways. ”It’s totally fine,” Charlie said as she wiped a bit of froth off of her lips with a napkin. ”It was so last minute anyways. This more than makes up for it.” And the fact that she still managed to get what she wanted, if in name only. The entire day felt like a fever dream. Like someone had orchestrated it in a way to make her feel anxious and on edge the whole time. In a way, it was probably a good thing that she never ended up finding Jimmie. What would she have done then? Blabbed out an incoherent sentence and then spilled her guts right in the middle of Diagon Alley? Merlin. Taking the first slice out of the box, Charlie bit into it. Having real food in her stomach would make the rest of the night better. ”I think I’m going to come back here after I graduate,” she said while still chewing. ”If you’re fine with me moving back in?” The flat was for all of them after all. Monday probably felt like it was empty being on her own there. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

December 27, 2026 Charlie thanked her for bringing over their orders and went for the butterbeer before the pizza. Although she reassured her that her taking her out for Blishwick's pizza made up for the lack of time they had gotten to spend with each other, Monday still felt a little guilty. Being separated from her siblings while they were at Ilvermorny and she wasn't was hard. She always knew that she would be graduating soonest, but it felt odd now that she was actually living it, especially after what had happened to Hogwarts.
On a much less somber note, Charlie mentioned that she thought that she would come back to the UK once she graduated. "If you’re fine with me moving back in?"
"Of course I'm fine with that," Monday smiled. It was better than any of the Christmas presents she'd received two days before—and certainly better than her decision to get the pizza with the cauliflower crust. "What are you thinking of doing over here?" Apart from a job, obviously, Monday wasn't sure what Charlie was looking into.

▲ Charlie didn’t dislike being in LA with their parents; it more had to do with not enjoying the freedom that was granted to her while in London. The ‘watchful eye’ of her mom didn’t exist here at all, as she was too busy to make the trip over and see whatever grouping of siblings happened to be here. Charlie assumed it was similar for Monday. Once she had tasted independence (to a certain degree, of course, because there was always more than one Weekly at a time in London), she realized that she craved it. And LA had little to offer her. The magical community there was boring and self-absorbed. New York City was too fast paced for her as well, and if she wanted to do something with magical creatures, sitting out in Ohio or wherever on a reserve sounded horrible to her. The anonymity that also came with being in the UK was amazing, and she sort of liked being a nobody here. ”Working with animals,” she answered after finally swallowing some of her pizza. She immediately took another small bite and ruminated a bit more on the thought. ”There’s that place right here in Hogsmeade. They’re always looking for more workers, and I think I have what it takes.” If her grades were anything to show for it, she would be perfect. And it kept her close to Blishwick’s pizza, assuming her crush would just randomly appear in Hogsmeade from time to time because her father owned a business here. ”That makes sense, right?” Charlie asked her sister. All she needed was a tiny speck of reassurance. A gentle breeze would push her in that direction right about now. Having confirmation from Monday would seal the deal as far as she was concerned. If it hadn’t been so late, she would walk down to the reserve and ask for an application. That made her make a mental note to send an owl the next morning, requesting one to be sent to her back at Ilvermorny. She’d have a far clearer view of everything once she was back at school.
