"Is it?" eyebrow quirked she let her head fall to the side again and eyeballed him for a moment. She really didn't know what to think of this guy. She was usually good at reading people, but she was unsure of Jack.
All the same, she was appreciative of the way he refilled her drink and nodded in acknowledgment as she reached for it. Unable to hide the wry smile as she sipped, she let her eyes fall away from him. It was simply easier that way, especially as he began to marvel about a Professor still learning. "I'm a junior Professor. Don't make me sound like an old lady" she began to protest, a playful whinge to her voice. And likely not a very good one she thought to herself, but as she looked up again he was giving her the ridiculous bewitching smile and sliding away from her. If she was anyway soft, or slightly drunker she would have found herself falling for him, clinging to him in some ridiculous way.
But no, thankfully she wasn't that far gone just yet.
Instead, she just nodded quietly, a small smile twitching the edge of her lips as she put her head down into her drink again.
