"It's for the caffeine, not the taste," she responded gruffly. Ewan wasn't wrong though; the coffee here did suck. One would assume brewing coffee with magic would mean very few issues. Somehow the machines for it produced the most vile charcoal imaginable. Once she choked it back though, it really didn't matter. She was in it for the caffeine rush after all. If there was a decent coffee shop nearby, then maybe she'd give them the business. But literally nothing existed. And bringing her own in the morning was well and fine except she drank it too fast and always needed an afternoon pick-me-up.
Tea also didn't really cut it for her, and she made a face at her brother to show her contempt for the other hot drink. While there were literally hundreds of different flavors of tea, it almost always ended up tasting like hot water to her. Even the lemon flavored ones were subpar. Maybe it was just her taste buds, burned off from years of horrible Ministry brewed coffee.
"Anyways...I'll let you know if anything happens. I don't know yet, and I sort of hope it'll work itself out," she said as she got up from her desk to get ready to hunt down the terrible coffee. However this turned out, it sort of felt good to tell Ewan. Now she didn't feel like everything was bottled up inside her, spinning around in her head and making it a thousand times worse because her brain was her greatest enemy. Having her brother stop by ended up proving to be more beneficial than annoying, though it hadn't seemed that way at first. It was a great distraction at getting her mind off of the issue with Rhys for a few moments, despite that being part of their talk. Funny how that worked...
