Petar took a deep breath from his new spot on the floor. He had been telling himself to keep calm and collected, to not let Hudson and Cain's childish behavior get to him... but he couldn't do it anymore.
As John was brushing off Petar's shoulders, Petar immediately turned on his heel and whipped out his wand but kept it lowered in front of his stomach so as to not attract attention as he pointed it at the two former Gryffindor bullies. "Enough with this foolishness!" He hissed at them. His tone was very angry indeed as his eyes darted back and forth between the Aurors. Petar had never truly stood up or himself when it came to these two but there was a first for everything.
"For years, I have had to deal with your childish behavior and unintelligent games," Petar began a rant. "For years I have had to endure countless moments of humiliation because of your big-headed egos trying to impress your other little lions." Petar's voice was so full of malicious intent and anger that it was surprising even himself. "For years." He said once more, his shoulders visibly moving up and down as he took deep breathes, calming himself. "I am through with it," he finally finished, staring at the two men, awaiting some sort of response from them. If they wanted to start some kind of brawl in the Hog's Head, so be it. Petar would see to it that they were sacked.

"Enough with this foolishness!" Rob smirked a little as Petar hissed at them. It was really quite funny, but he already noticed that the man had his wand out just like Rob thought he would. But being the auror that he was Rob had his wand out since the first moment that he had seen Petar. He had a feeling that this might happen. “For years I have had to endure countless moments of humiliation because of your big-headed egos trying to impress your other little lions." Finally the timid and so easy to target boy they had once known was trying his best to stand up to them. And to be honest Rob was kind of pleased to see this. It brought about a whole new meaning to taunting and teasing the man. But he knew that they couldn’t duel here for there were way to many people. And plus he had his fun. Rob wasn’t sure if John would go along with what he was going to do, but Rob didn’t need to cause a scene here in the pub. “Petar put the wand way. We don’t need to make a mess of this place, and plus there are way to many people in here for us to duel if that is what you want.” Rob paused for a second or two, knowing that he had to desfuse the situation soon or it was going to get nasty. “I am sorry for how we treated you back then and even now, it is just that old habits die hard. But I am truly sorry for what we have done.” He said in a sincere tone, because it was the truth, they needed to get over their differences, and it might not be today but maybe sometime in the future.
Rob knew that there would be opportunities to prank Petar once they were at Hogwarts, but only if the man deserved it would they do it. For they had to try and keep their promise that they had made with Harry the other day. But it was going to be tough and they might as well get a start on trying to be civil with one another. “Come now Petar we really meant no harm.” He said as he put his wand back into its holster on his wrist. Which still made it possible for him to easily draw it at a moment’s notice. Rob also knew that he was the only one who had to show that he was willing to trust Petar to at least calm down a bit. But that John would back him up if need be.
It was they way how they usually did things when dealing with people who were causing trouble. He would talk them out of it and if not well John would usually get them as Rob quickly drew his wand on said people as well. It just depended on the situation and this was one of those times. They had to get Petar to trust them to some degree, and he knew that it was going to take some time or something big.
His ears twitched a little bit as he heard the sound of several people apparating outside of the pub. He normally wouldn’t have heard them but because of being an animagus his senses had been improved as well. There was something off but he wasn’t quite sure what it was yet, but he flicked his wrist and his wand appeared into his hand as he turned to face the door and exits of the pub. He was on guard and ready for anything that might come through the door. Rob’s face had a serious look on it as he waited and watched, and he hoped that the two men one friend and the other a rival would follow and back him up.

Years of masking his true emotions had made John Cain a professional at hiding his inital reactions to surprising situations. So when Petar suddenly wipped out his wand and pointed at John and Rob, John didn't move. Instead, he stared directly into the eyes of Kovachev. His expression blank and his face unimpressed. He listened to the old snake hiss at them but still made no attempt to respond or react. The only thing in his face that changed was his eyebrows, as they slowly moved into a glare at the man.
John barely heard Rob talk. The moment he heard the sincerity in his tone, John stopped listening to his partner. John almost always agreed or listened to Rob, but this was one situation in which he could not agree. As far as John was concerned, he was no where near through playing around with Petar. But with Rob apologizing to the old bloke, John figured for now the fun was over. He would not be faltering, however.
One thing about John and Rob was that the two were so in sync. Not just in their pranking abilities but also the level of intellect and reflexes. As soon as John felt John twitch to his side, John's eyes were only slightly more alert as they darted around the pub. He doubted it was anything seriously harmful, as what fool would come to the Hog's Head on a weekend night looking for trouble?

Petar's mouth went from a serious straight line to a malicious grin. He let out a sarcastic cackle at Rob's words. "Fool, I want no duel," he said, letting his wand hand down just slightly. "What I want, his hand now raised again to point back at the pair of pranksters. "Is to finally give you two a taste of your own medicine." His eyes were cold and unwavering. His eyes flickered to Caun, who seemed to be wearing nearly the same sort of expression Petar was. John always was more cold than Rob. Just in general. If he wasn't around Hudson, he always seemed a bit more quiet and reserved. But as Petar watched him, he refused to be the first to look away.
Luckily he wasn't. Petar flinched when Rob flicked out his own wand but was surprised to see him avert his attention to the entrance to the pub. Once again, Petar let his wand fall. As Cain began to seem more alert as well, Petar returned his wand to his robe and let out an audible sigh. "Come off it," he muttered irritably. It was so like Aurors to just assume the worst in every situation. Personally, Petar found it annoying. There were not as many Dark Wizards in their world as there once was.
Petar turned his back on the door and the two Aurors and took a long gulp of his drink.

"Come off it," Rob would have laughed at the way Petar was acting but that was of little consequence with what could come through that door, for whomever it was not friendly at all, and there seemed to be multiple people, most likely drunks as well. He was not surprised when the door to the pub opened up and in they came, six people in total, Rob could tell that they had been drinking heavily tonight. But their words were clear as day, as they boasted about killing some aurors in some other country and that they wanted to kill more of them here in England. Well he was not going to have any of that here. Not tonight and not ever. Rob could sense that John was also alert as well, which was a good thing. However Petar was not even paying them any attention, what an idiot.
They were soon spotted by those same six people who were boasting and talking rather loudly…okay scratch that they were practically yelling. He had a moment to cast a shield charm as a cutting curse flew towards them. It hit the shield and bounced off and it hit a mirror that was on the wall behind the bar. The sound of shattering glass set things in motion. People ran screaming from the pub, as Rob began firing curses and jinxes at the assailants. He spun around after casting another shield charm and Petar was still there as well as John, “Shall we?” Rob asked John with a smirk on his face before he turned and began to fight back.
