@idris by the time teddy had finished work and had actually been able to walk out of the office, he had just enough time to apparate home so he could get out of the clothes he'd been in all day. it had been an office day sure but there was nothing worse than going out and trying to have some fun while wearing clothes that had been tainted with the smell of the office. so he'd hurried around his apartment, cleaning himself up and changing into something simple but somewhat thought out. he didn't want to show up on idris looking like he'd just crawled out of a hole, though he couldn't quite put his finger on why it would bother him. they were friends, having connected after idris had put the tatto on him, the phoenix forever regenerating, his parents names hidden in the flames. he touched his fingers to the long dried ink just before he pulled his black shirt over his head, slipped on his shoes and headed out the door.
the easiest place he'd been able to think to meet was his godfather's pub. it was quiet, welcoming and he knew what the menu was. the odds are he'd end up getting dinner while he was out, his kitchen still standing pretty much untouched since he'd moved in. one thing he'd never been able to master was the kitchen, it wasn't a strong suit of his which was why he was always so grateful when molly weasley sent him the wonderful things she made, he'd been getting them his whole life and he'd really treasured everyone, because she'd thought of him enough to send them. he shook his head slightly, not wanting to spend the evening reminiscing about the past and with a crack he was standing in front of the pub door, pushing the handle open and stepping inside out of the cold air, his eyes glancing around the pub to see if he'd made it before idris of if the other male already had a table somewhere in the room.

After tattooing a rather intricate design onto the back of a man, the two became friends. This was impressive. Idris wasn't one that was good at the whole friend thing, but for whatever reason it worked. He was sure that his best friend, Vas, would be rather surprised. Not that it had come up. He had gotten out of the tattoo shop a bit early, not sure why he felt the need to get ready, but he went back to his crappy and cheap flat to change into something that wasn't on the on the floor. Subsequently throwing the cloths he was wearing near a laundry hamper that seemed rather full. Walking up to the door of his room, his hand slid over some parallel deep cuts in the wood. Good thing he still had some time before the next full moon. Before leaving his flat Idris slid into his comfortable leather jacket and headed out.
Out in the cold air, he startled his motorcycle, starting it up with a satisfying roar of the engine. Idris loved working on machines, and this was his pride and joy. And just like that, he was off. When the timing was right he took to the night sky. Sure he could have apparated to the pub, but apparition became a bit tricky when he was intoxicated. Sure, driving wasn't always the safest, and often frowned upon. But once you were up in the clouds the cold, wet air would help snap him out for a time. That is if he wasn't too drunk to drive. Landing in Godrics Hollow he let the impact with the earth dash away thoughts of leaving. Now was the time for fun. Parking the beast he cut the engine and ditched took off his helmet Waving his wand he shrunk the item and shoved it into his pocket. Magic was so convenient. He walked into the pub, spotting Teddy already there. He walked over, "Hey, did ya wait long"

@idris when he'd realized that he was the earlier of the pair, he took a spot at the bar, turning the stool around so he could lean his back against it and he could people watch everyone in the room. call him overly suspicious but his observation skills had been on high alert since the attack on hogwarts. no one was above or beyond suspicion, no matter how innocent or inconspicuous they looked. that was how it happened, people who looked like they belonged, the people that didn't stand out, they were the ones who needed to be watched. was that unfair to the innocent people who were just going about their days? probably. but it wouldn't make a difference. the damage had been done; the way the world was seen changed forever.
it was the sound of the bell above the door that drew his eyes in that direction and low and behold, the man he was waiting on walked in. who'd have thought getting a tattoo would lead to another friend but here they were. he rested his elbows on the bar as he let out what he hoped was an easy grin and he shrugged his shoulders slightly. "oh hours mate." he chuckled as he straightened up and sat up from leaning against the bar. "thirsty?"

Idris was no stranger to pubs. Though his regular haunt was his best friends pub. They had a certain understanding when it came to money. Luckily this place didn't seem too crouded. No matter where he was, he wasn't the best with large groups of people. At least it wasn't near the full moon. It was nice to be going out with a mate was nice. And something he didn't do often, seeing as he had so few mates. He chuckled slightly as Teddy shrugged and said he had been there hours. He chuckled "Parched." He said as he came up beside the other man and leaned against the bar, looking over at Teddy. @edward

@idris even though he'd been trying to limit the amount of drinking he'd been doing the last few weeks, there was still always going to be those weekly exceptions, such as going out with friends. maybe one day he'd get to the point where he could just drink butterbeer but today wasn't that day and he doubted that this year would be the year, but he was holding out hope for one day. he hadn't been waiting all that long before idris walked in and teddy just watched him walk across the floor, because to wave would just be stupid. it was strange how the man who had tattooed his back was now one of friends but that's the way things worked as adults, right? it wasn't like when you were kids and you could charm a leaf or just walk up to them, proclaim friendship and that was that. the older you got the harder to make friends so you took them where you could get them. "well we can't have that can we." he said as he turned his head to watch idris lean on the bar next to him. "you're no good to me if you die of thirst." he joked as he spun the stool around so he could lean his elbows on the bar to flag down the bartender and order them two drinks.
