Now that she said it aloud, four handles of whiskey was a lot. Rhys was obviously fleecing the professor for as much as he could get out of it, and he would still have the audacity to be grumpy about the whole thing. Some things never changed there. The goal now was to obviously make sure he didn't flake and throw everything onto his junior Cursebreaker. If that did happen to be Max, Juniper knew she'd feel awful about it. Though she supposed Max wasn't so little anymore, and teaching others was sort of the Cursebreaker thing. Maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it panned out that way. Regardless, it was Archie's class, not hers. That would be a problem for him to work around should it happen.

"If he gives you any problems, just let me know." Juniper hesitated to mention that scheduling around the full moon would be a bad idea. How public was that knowledge anyways? Archie had to have put two and two together by now with the Greyback name on the table. But she also wouldn't put it past Rhys to get his booze and then make a date for a day where the full moon matched up. Be extra irritable while teaching. "I doubt he's as busy as he'll make himself out to be. Being around for the training period was seriously a test of my patience." She could joke about it now, but at the time it had been extremely stressful and lonely. No wonder things fell apart the way they did.

A wave of relief swept over Archie. When it came to topics such as this, it wasn’t so much about quantity versus quality. Those he’d recruited accounted for a massive number of years of experience and different experiences as well. Plus, Rhys came with a plus one, a younger Cursebreaker. Archie nodded at the offer. While he wasn’t naïve enough to think the man was the perfect personality for a professor, he also wondered how much trouble he would be. Hopefully, Archie didn’t have to do much to keep him in line.

”Good to know.” Archie wasn’t entirely sure if she was being completely serious, but she’d somehow gotten him this far, so he kept her offer in mind. ”He also offered to cover protective spells for the second-year trainees as well.” Cursebreakers were always taught and equipped with a good handful, but even Archie knew that that subset of protective spells and advanced charms was not a small topic. And adding to that knowledge would only help the trainees. It had gotten him out of many binds, though fortunately, situations some basic spells could handle. In the back of his mind, he wondered what Rhys had gone through to amass this kind of knowledge. ”Again, thank you.” Archie grinned. He wasn’t one to forget favors, so he’d be ready if she ever called on him.
