The fresh air, albeit noisier than she would have liked considering her current state, was welcomed compared to the stuffiness of the street earlier and the car. She could feel some of her mental processing starting to come back. Being close to home probably helped with that as well. All she wanted was for the concussion to go away. She knew it was going to linger on for a while still, but it was exhausting to a degree that she hadn’t realized was possible until now. The next training session she was allowed to do for work, she was planning on rigging up something to practice ducking troll punches. That serve well for all Cursebreakers. ”Oh…” Dahlia said in surprise, blinking back into reality again. Yara was holding out a piece of paper, supposedly with her name and number on it. She hadn’t even realized the fogginess had taken over again. Staring down at the paper, Dahlia flipped it around to see that it was a receipt from a store. They hadn’t gone shopping in between then and now, had they? There were so many times now where she second guessed everything that was happening to her. It was honestly amazing she thought she was ready to venture out like this today. ”I will send you the money for the ride then,” she said as she put the scrap into her pocket. ”Thank you.” Bowing her head slightly, Dahlia turned and left Yara behind. She needed to put some ground between them before disappearing the way she was supposed to. At least that, she could never forget about or do incorrectly.
