So, here she was. The least organized person in the entire school organizing a group to solve the murders at Hogwarts. The adults weren't seeming to do anything about it, so why didn't they? She had chosen the most cliche of places, the Room of Requirement. But hey, it was used for the Dumbledores Army for a reason. It had resources. Today it was set up in a sort of comfortable style. A circle of couches and chairs so that Abby and James and whoever else showed up could get to talking.
They wanted to clear Aurora Lestranges name, mostly because James was dating her and convinced Abby that she was innocent. She trusted James, and was willing to support him on this. The question was, would Abby be able to get Aurora and Alice in one room? Not to mention Andy and Aurora... who knew what was happening there. Well, Here goes nothing...
Even if you just want to post once that your character showed up, that's fine. We'll just get through so they can pick they name, give out some assignments, and generally chat about awesomeness. @abigail X @james x @alice @al X @scorp X @kay x @lestrange x @cainedge X @marcia X @alina X Rozalina Antonina Nightshade @delisle @lynx X @ranger X @henry X @carcerronaldhagrid X @philip holly proserpina mcgonagall x @eris X

Alina made her way to the room of requirement taking a rather random and sporadic path through the castle. There really wasn’t any reason for it but she felt like taking her time since she had left the Hufflepuff common room twenty minutes before their meeting. Today was supposed to be the start of their own little group that she had been told about. She wondered just how many of her fellow students were going to be a part of this group and what they could bring to the table. Finally she found herself in front of the Room of Requirement.
Opening the door and closing after she entered the room, Alina found herself in a comfortable sort of room that had chairs and couches in a circle. Apparently she was the first one to arrive besides Abby who was already there and clearly had asked the room to set itself up this way. “Nervous?” Alina asked her friend who did look a little nervous at the prospect of the meeting or was it because of who else might be coming? Taking a seat on one of the couches Alina waited and began thinking about what her role in all of this would be since she had a lot to offer, and plus she was just glad to be helping out in doing something that was important to all of them.

the room of requirement. well it was one place in the castle that jay could honestly say he hadn't spent a lot of time in. he knew about it of course, all students did but him even more so, he'd grown up hearing about how his father had been shown it back at the start of the last war that had started. not that there was a war going on, but something was happening. people were getting murdered and he wasn't going to be sitting around doing nothing while waiting for someone he loved to wind up on the casualty list.
he ran his hand through his blonde hair as he walked toward the room and ducked in through the door that appeared to him. seemed he was early, only two other people were in the room and he glanced around a little. "hey, expecting many more?" he asked, curious and also in greeting as he flopped down into one of the overstuffed armchairs and curled his legs up under him to wait for the rest of the group to show up.

the room of requirement? well it made sense. it wasn't like it was a room that just anyone could find. having a meeting like this there made sense. he'd found out about it after hearing jayden longbottom talking to a classmate in the hall, and asked and well here he was. that was all he'd been told. the room of requirement at this time. his curiosity had been peaked and he made his way into the room and glanced around it. he hoped coming here was the right thing to do, he'd had a little trouble settling back into the school routine after being gone for a while, and now he was slowy getting there he didn't want anything to really shake that up, but this felt important. or at least he thought it did.
walking into through the doors he glanced around at the room, saw all the chairs and couches that the room had given them to lounge in while they talked about whatever topic this was on, jay hadn't really elaborated on a lot but he'd mentioned some. he saw two girls standing in the room. one of them was from his house but the other, he wasn't really sure who she was. he knew jay of course. "is it too early to be here? or?" he asked, moving from the door and playing with the edge of his sleeve lightly as he walked toward the center of the room where the two girls were.

slipping his wand into his back pocket albus headed toward the room of requirement. he wasn't sure how this meeting was going to go down or what was going to happen during it, but he did want to be a part of it. he was tired of hearing about people loosing there lives, children most of all. he felt for his brother, he wouldn't wish what james had seen on anyone that he didn't like but, they had to get to the bottom of what was going on. the ministy seemed to be taking their own sweet time, and he hated to think it, but he was starting to think his father might be getting passed his ability to do his job. the body count might be small at the moment, but it wouldn't take long to grow and something had to be done.
walking into the room he saw that he wasn't the first or the last person to arrive and he was glad about that. he'd half threatened scorpius that if he didn't turn up to this meeting that he'd come home to find his bed filled with things that were the stuff of nightmares. he wasn't sure who was coming, and he hadn't wanted to be the only slytherin in the room, and he knew scorp was a decent enough guy to at least dislike what was going on. "abby, alina" he said in greeting. he knew the people in the room, if only by association. he'd grown up with jay and his siblings, abby was entangled with his brother and he'd met alina a few nights ago for the first time. he poked his finger into the back of jay's head as he walked passed and swatted at the younger kid's hand as he tried to retaliate and he grinned just a little and took a seat on a couch.

Eris was looking forward to pestering some Ravenclaws, that was until she saw someone that looked strangely like Albus Potter. The only reason Eris recognized him was because they were the same house and year, (and he was of course son of the Boy Who Lived,) but other than that Eris knew little about him. Which made her curious, what was he doing here? She didn't want to scare him off by asking, so she instead followed behind him almost silently.
It was a bit of a surprise to her when she saw the room of requirement coming into view as she tiptoed stealthily behind him. Well well, what do we have here? she thought with a confused expression on her face. However, she shaked the puzzled look away as she quickly walked in behind Albus into the room. She slinked back into the shadows quickly as Albus said his greetings, though it was a bit useless as anyone paying attention would have been able to see Eris walk in.
So instead of aimlessly running to hide in a corner, she let her fellow sixth year fall onto a couch before glancing around the room and asking, "Did I miss an invitation or something?" The Slytherin shoved her hands into the pockets of her robes before continuing with, "This looks pretty important."

Carcer had told Alice that she should come to the meeting for this new group thing. She was angry—worse than angry—at James, though Carcer wasn’t sure why. He had his suspicions, though. Still, this was bigger than James or Alice. Something had to be done here. And if nothing else, Carcer pointed out that if Alice didn’t join them, she’d spend the rest of the year worrying about what her brothers were getting themselves into. Philip and Jayden were Gryffindors to the bone, and if they weren’t there he’d eat Apollo. But he didn’t twist her arm about it. Carcer trusted her to show up, so he’d gone alone. He shifted into his animagus form and slipped into the room behind Albus, rather than cause a scene by crawling in, and shifted back beside the door. He leaned against the frame, looking over the room.
He listened to the greetings of Albus and the little redhead in the Slytherin robes that had followed him in, then to Cain’s question about what they should do. “How do we know nobody’s close to figuring things out? I mean, it’s not like the adults are going to let us know what information they have, at least not while there’s a danger of the killer finding out and adjusting.” He knew adults generally didn’t tell the students things because they were supposedly too young, but in this case, he could see the more practical reason for it. “Not that I’m against doing something, but we just need to consider things very carefully before we do. We won’t do any good if we mess up the Aurors without realizing it.”

"Well, isn't that harsh," Scor mused, entering the room just in time to here Moretas hit on the Slytherins. He moved to sit beside Albus, and gave Eris a little not. "We've got three Slytherins in here already. That could be half of your suspects," he joked, sitting up straight with a lighthearted air. He had heard about this meeting from Al, of course, and wasn't surprised to find that Eris had found her way here as well.
"So, Shacklebolt, what's the plan?" he asked, turning toward Abby who was sitting on a stool a little higher than the others. Apparently she was getting this thing going, and who would start a secret agent sleuthing club without the brightest guy in the sixth year?
Or the brightest girl... where was Rose, anyway?

"Make that four!" Marcia exclaimed upon entering, moving to sit beside Cain and tossing her legs over his knees, leaning back with her arms behind her head. "Hope the fun hasn't started without me?" she gave Alina a little wink before turning toward Abby as Scorpious addressed her. In all reality, Marcia hadn't really hung out with anyone other than fellow Slytherins, the Winter twins and Cain thus far. That was probably what she was looking forward to the most, being a group without houses really being a big factor. Well, they always were but it seemed the purpose of this crowd was to come together, right?

Abby smiled at Alina as she walked in. "Hey Lina. Is Nicole coming?" she asked, just making some small talk to start. When Alina asked if she was nervous Abby laughed, "a little, but only because I'm worried about the way news travels at this school. Overall, I'm sure that the message will get to the right people. But, you know..." she had to think of a way to make people accountable, the way Aunty Hermione did with that list for Dumbledores Army... she raised an eyebrow at Alina, "hey... any idea of a spell that could make people pay if they snitch on us?" she asked. -- As the darling Jayden Longbottom entered, Abby actually stood to greet him. She hugged him and stepped back as he found a place to get comfortable and asked his question. "From the way we spread the word I'm expecting at least ten more people... but I'll probably get started before James and Rory arrive, just to give you guys some... tact," she said, chuckling a little. People may be surprised when Aurora walked in, who was the number one suspect up until now. She wanted some time to prepare them. Abby placed a hand on Al's shoulder as he walked in, "hey, I'm glad you made it," she knew Scorpius Malfoy would soon follow after him, naturally. She moved back to her stool at the head of the circle by the time another Slytherin snuck in behind him. Abby didn't know her, so she raised an eyebrow with caution as the redhead spoke. "Quite important, in fact. What's your name?" she asked the girl, giving a small smile. She wasn't going to write her off right away, of course. But she did miss out on the invite... and maybe that was for good reason. A Ravenclaw in her year, Cain, arrived and made her concerns about the legitimacy of the meeting vocal. She waited a moment for Carcer and Moreta to answer, and then waited a little longer as Scorp and Marcia entered. She turned to Scorp, silently raising the question as to the ginger Slytherins loyalty with a head nod and some fancy eyebrows. Scorp nodded, and that was good enough for Abby. She nodded as well, holding up her hands and standing in order to draw the attention to herself. "Well, aren't we in quite the hurry to get started? First things first, we can't mess with the Aurors system. Carcers right, they wouldn't tell us if they knew anything. But, we're all on the same side, so watch it," she said firmly, "As for how far we've gotten, there is one thing we know for sure and that is that Aurora Lestrange is not the killer," she waited a moment for reactions on that. After all, Aurora was the rumored killer for the past four months. "As for the 'blood exclusivity' of it all, we already know that has something to do with it. Two muggle borns are dead, another is hospitalized," she paused a moment for the captain of the Ravenclaw team, "We could go as far as to say it's a Ravenclaw vendetta, considering two out of the three were from your house. And your team," she said, gesturing to Moreta, "though, I think that may be pushing it." (You can either say you're coming in later, or say you've been here the whole time. The only thing that kept Eris from making sarcastic comment in Moreta's direction was the fact that she actually wanted to be accepted into this group; the last time she felt like that was when she was in her first years at Hogwarts and desperate to be a popular Slytherin. Either way, she bit her tongue until she was approached by who seemed to be the one running the club.
If Eris's suspicions were true, this meeting had something to do with that awful train ride at the beginning of the school year. Her suspicion was only furthered by the boss of the club describing the meeting as "quite important." She put her hands on her hips as she looked up to the leader and said, "Name's Eris. And you?" Her tone was friendly, mainly because if she made the wrong move, she knew she'd be banned from this little club forever.

It was a great idea, doing exactly what their parents had in their time at Hogwarts. In the same place, for the same reason. James was on his way to the Room of Requirement with Aurora. He smiled at her as they walked along the corridors and as they did, James's hand reached under her own and interlocked his fingers with hers. His heart was racing for many different reasons. Obviously because of Aurora's hand being in his own but also because he was going to address his classmates about the murders going on. First and foremost, he needed to convince them all that Aurora and her sister were innocent. Second, they needed a plan of action. The killer had to be a student and even if it wasn't, there had to be at least one involved or else how would the killer get to these students?
James paused with Aurora just outside the Room of Requirement and squeezed her hand. "You don't have to speak if you don't want to," he assured her quietly. After a moment of looking into those deep blues again, James took a deep breath and stepped inside with Aurora. He was surprised to see how many people had turned out, and even more so surprised that a few of them were Slytherins. He knew not all Slytherins were bad, but he was surprised nonetheless. He led Aurora over to where Abby stood and gave Abby a nod in greeting. "Great turn out." He said aloud and his eyes searched the room for Alice. He saw Carcer Hagrid and thought for a moment she would be with him, but he was wrong. He tightened his grip on Aurora's hand instinctively, just waiting for the moment someone would comment on her arrival.

“She should be, in fact I am not sure where she is at. The last time I saw her was in the dorm.” Alina said in response as to if her sister was coming or not. “As for a spell to make people accountable if they snitch on us, well there are several spells that I know of, just give me the parameters of how you want them to pay and then I can give you the spell.” She replied with a smirk. Oh the possibilities were endless with her knowledge of spells, curses, hexes, and jinxes. She just needed to know how badly Abby wanted them to pay for their traitorous act.
Several people came in within the next couple of minutes and she smiled at the boys and even spotted Eris Harper sneak in behind Albus, they would have to keep an eye on her since she was prone to gossip about things. But Alina had the feeling that this would be the one secret the girl actually kept. “Albus.” Alina greeted her newest friend, whom she had met a couple of nights ago. Alina glared at Cain as he talked about being a “good guy” and the whole blood purist thing. As she was debating whether or not to hex him or not when Moreta came in and smacked him and gave Cain a piece of her mind. Carcer was there and so she wasn’t the only Hufflepuff there, and she nodded in agreement as he spoke. When Marcia walked in Alina smiled which turned into a smirk at her friends antics by putting her legs across Cain’s lap and leaned back.
“Exactly, we cannot mess with the Aurors systems. We should find a way to figure out what they are doing so we do not mess up what they are doing.” Alina stated but she already had an idea and it would involve her sister, Marcia, and herself, but first before she made it known to everyone, Alina wanted to talk with those mentioned and she wanted to know that she could trust those in this room. She knew that Carcer would not have a problem with it and maybe she could convince him to maybe help them, since he was an animagus as well, since she had seen him change into his animagus form not too long ago.
“It definitely has to do with blood purity. I have listened to way to many talks about blood purity to last me a life time and to be completely honest I hate it.” Her tone was hard as she spoke remembering the many times she had listened to her father go on and on about blood purity. And while she did so she didn’t even realize that she had made eye contact with Marcia with a look that indicated that she wanted to talk later about it. Lost in her own thoughts for the moment and Alina took a good look around at those that were present and she instinctively that each person had a lot to bring to the table, and she was quite sure that they all would end up using their talents and abilities in this fight, for that is what it was a fight, light versus dark, good versus evil and she would and will do everything in her power to make sure that the good guys won, they had to win.

reaching to clap scorpius on the shoulder as he took a seat next to him he glanced toward moreta and he frowned a little. "slytherin? nah, this time i think i'm going to put my money down on disgruntled hufflepuffs being the main culprits" it might very well be people from his house, but there wasn't any need to jump straight into that conclusion. hogwarts houses weren't as clear cut as they had been when their parents had been in school, it seemed to be a little different now. the fact that there were four slytherins in the room pointed to that. he doubted a single slytherin would have been a part of a group like this back when one had been formed. "do we know it for sure though? not to sound like i'm accusing her of anything ... but there are ways to control someone without their knowledge, aren't there?" he rubbed his hand over the back of his neck as he stood up. it was true wasn't it? it made sense to him at least so he thought he'd bring it up. just to make sure they covered all angles. something similar had happened to his mother when she had been as school, so it was possible it was happening again.
"well it might be a ravenclaw" he said as he looked at abby. "whoever is doing this isn't stupid, and who are supposedly the smartest in the school?" he said as he made to sit back on the couch as his brother walked in. he didn't care if people started to think that he was only here to cast doubts into their minds. he was just convinced that if people started thinking it was only slytherins, they might miss what was really going on here. he did agree on it being a purist thing, how could it not be. that's what most of the wizarding wars had been in the past so why should now be any different in that respect. he looked at alina and nodded. "i agree, it has to be about blood purity" he shook his head a little and leaned his elbow on his knees and looked up at abby. "instead of everyone trying to point fingers at who it is for now, how about making the list smaller by working out who it might not be?"

It was sort of insane the twists and turns Aurora’s life took. Normally Aurora would have stayed out of this mess. She’d stay in the background and keep her head down. She’d do as her father would tell her to do, and just obey. She’d take the life she wasn’t going to be given. James then stepped into her life. After that, things got out of hand. Aurora was in the limelight. She was accused of the murders. Aurora was no longer a wall flower but she was getting attention. Aurora was then pulled out of school and she realized she didn’t want to be continually pushed around and told who she was, or who she was to become. Nobody really knew her and yet they had everything locked down and who she was. Aurora placed a hand on James arm when he grabbed her hand. The young woman grinned up at him before her attention was brought forward to the door in front of them. Aurora was going have to suck it up and gain some confidence somewhere, there was no room to make mistakes or coward in fear. Aurora couldn’t be quiet any longer, that part of her would have to take a hike.
They stopped and Aurora stared at the door. James squeezed her hand and she looked at him. Aurora smiled lightly at him and shook her head, “I want to. I have to straighten some things up, don’t you think?” Just being next to James, Aurora’s confidence in her self rose and she felt calm and relaxed. Aurora gave him one more smiled before they went. The brunette just followed James as he pulled her through. At first Aurora thought they were approaching Jo but as they got closer, it was Abby, someone she wasn’t close to but cared about deeply like she did Jo, a person she prayed would show up. Maybe if she had more people who believed her around, things wouldn’t be so bad. There were a quite a few faces in the room. All of them she barely knew. Their names were in her mind, but the brunette never quite talked to them. The girl though decided to stay out of the way and quiet. She wasn’t going to butt in unless asked to. Of course some people were going to have questions and she was going have to address them. Aurora looked over at Albus. She wasn't mad at his comment. "The Imperius Curse leaves a trace of itself being casted upon the victim. Many have claimed they were controlled by another, they remember things they did and said but were left feeling foggy and dazed, as if they were waking from a dream almost. It's sort of like drugging a person with the effect of having control over them. I would have known if I were under the curse, not to mention, the caster would need to have a large amount of skill and power to be successful since the curse can actually be resisted." The girl felt like she was a lecturing professor. "Yet, someone could merely say they were under the spell when really they were not. Best way to prove such innocence is with Veritaserum, though that in itself if tricky as well." the girl reached into the pockets of her own robes and pulled out a bottle of clear liquid, Aurora was always prepared. Normally, a student wasn't allowed access to the potion, but making one, Aurora had little no difficulties in doing. It was probably the only illegal thing she had done without being as to do so.
