overall personality:
Sophia is a lot like the plain leather book she constantly carries around. She doesn't draw attention to herself, being reserved in her dealings with people, and extremely polite. She does tend to come off as bored when dealing with people, and that emotion never really changes. It's almost like socializing is a chore for the girl, and she has far more interesting things to do then try and carry a conversation. You'll hardly ever hear her comment in any of her classes (potions being the exception), and has mastered the art of hiding in plain sight. Maybe it's her petite stature, or that indifferent personality, but people just tend to overlook her, as if she didn't exist...
The funny thing is, inside, she's got a whole mess of emotions trying to burst out. The girl is actually a very social person, but she'd had so many problems with bullies in the past- basically her shyness was a learned trait... Deep down though, she's an extremely imaginative and inventive girl. She's always coming up with new ideas, whether it be for her favorite subject, Potions, writing, or, surprisingly, pranks. She just has a talent for inventing, as long as wand waving isn't involved... Her actual spells are barely average for her age, which is a bit of a sore spot for her. She tends to keep her ideas to herself though, hidden away in that journal of hers, convinced people would laugh if they saw them.
If ever asked who Sophia reminds people of, Santa Claus would be the first guess. She has a child like innocence to her, and eyes full of wonder. She sees the world in such a vibrant and magical place. Her curiosity and fascination is almost infectious, it's hard not to be drawn into her world when you are with the girl. She is a bit of an oddball though, since her social skills are on the... awkward side, her word choice isn't actually the best, and her comments can be random and completely off topic. Focusing on one thing is near impossible unless she's coming up with new crazy idea.
Sophia is an extremely loyal and trustworthy person.... to the extreme. This trait is so strong, that she finds herself the victim to bullying quite often, because they know she won't tell. She'll suck it up, and keep quiet, not wanting to make matters worse of get other people in trouble. Even her close friends have a hard time getting her to admit to any bullying. She does have a good judge of character though, and seems to have a knack at bringing out the good in other people.

personal history
mother:
Cho Williams (nee Chang), 43, House wife.
father:
Stuart Williams, 45, Writer(muggle)
siblings:
None
pets:
An elf owl named Noah.
history:
Sophia is the only child of the popular Cho Chang, and her muggle husband, Stuart Williams. Being raised in a half wizarding/half muggle home can definitely pose it's challenges!
After the end of the Second Wizarding War, Cho Chang moved to London, finding a job as a waitress at a cafe. The young woman just wanted a break from the world that had cost her so many of her dear friends. It was at this cafe she met Stuart, an aspiring author. He came almost every day, and would spend hours writing in the corner. The two just seemed to click, and were fast friends. She didn't tell him then about her differences, but Stuart just... knew. Knew there was something special about her. They dated for several years before finally tying the knot, and Cho gave birth to an adorable baby girl.
Knowing she couldn't keep her lineage hidden for much longer, especially since children of her world started showing signs of magic at an unusually young age, Cho was finally forced to tell Stuart. To say he was shocked is an understatement. It took... time for him to come to accept the news. During this time, the two separated, finally coming back together before their daughter's first birthday. Things were obviously different after that. After all, how would you like your wife telling you they were a witch? He slowly grew to accept it though, and while he was never comfortable with her performing magic, he had a deep fascination for it's history.
Sophia never really showed signs of magic as she grew up. Little things happened, of course, things ho noticed that hinted at her daughter's talent, but they were so subtle that few others even realized it. No, it seemed like she took after her muggle father. Her childhood was quite uneventful, to be honest. Her mother taught her the ways of the wizarding world, while her father taught her the muggle world. But, to be honest, she'd never really been exposed to much magic before coming to Hogwarts. Like all witches her age, she received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts when she was 11.
The thing about Sophia, is she tends to keep things simple, and rather uneventful. Her first night at Hogwarts, she was sorted into Hufflepuff. During her first year she broke her leg during one of the first flying lessons. Because of that event, she's never enjoyed flying on a broom, and it took her longer then most to learn the skill. She was average in almost all of her classes, barely passing, but she quickly found her footing in Potions and Herbology. Through hard work though, she's managed to keep herself afloat the past 6 years. Now in her 6th year at Hogwarts, she is being forced to decide where she belongs in the world. Should she follow her mother's footsteps and return to the world she was raised in? Or is the pull of the magical to strong for her to leave?
