@lestrange running his hand through his hair, albus flicked through the book that he was supposed to be reading for class. the only problem with it is that it was so dull it felt like it was putting him to sleep. it was all numbers and figures and he hated that sort of reading. give him a book with anything else in it and he'd probably read the whole thing without an issue. but this one? man was it killing his brain. he put the book down, let the pages fall open to the centre of the book and he leaned back in his chair.
there wasn't really anyone in the library, it was almost time for lunch so he figured most people would be heading down to the great hall so they could eat. he wasn't all that hungry though, not today. picking up a quill from the table he was sitting at, he used the feather to trace the outline of the book. merlin he was bored. he needed to find something to do. take his mind off being bored before he went craxy from that too. he was starting to wonder about his mind, just a little. standing up he closed the book, left it on the table and dropped the quill down next to it before walking away from the table, his book bag in his hand.

Ooh, the library. What a sweet and forgiving place. And yet, vengeful at the same time. Andy was looking for a required class book, one that a lot of students were borrowing and she hoped someone had returned it today. When the book wasn't on its appropriate shelf, Andy grabbed another book to entertain herself.
That had been a mistake. It was a collection of testimonies From the war. The second war which took place at Hogwarts. She had opened to the page that had a short passage, spoken by a sixth year student.
It was getting darker and Amelia and I had stayed to help, but we weren't fast enough. A death eater has caught up to us. Belletrix Lest-
Andy slammed the book shut, her heart pounding in her ears. She didn't want to hear about her dark relatives. She didn't even want to hear from her own brother. She found herself clutching the bookshelf for support, holding the book to her chest.
One deep breath, two, then she put the book back, turning the corner. There was Albus Potter, leaving the very book she had been looking for on the table behind him. "Hey, are you done with that?" She called to him, her voice cracking from the lump in her throat.

@lestrange "hey, are you done with that?" a little surprised at someone else being in the library when he'd thought he'd been alone he turned and looked at andy. was he done with the book? well he'd closed it and was walking away from it but something stopped him from telling her that. he wasn't sure what it was but he nodded and picked it up. "yeah i'm done. but there isn't really much in it that's useful" he said. well maybe there would be for her but he knew there wasn't really anything that had been helpful for him. different homework and all. "what do you need it for?" he ran his hand through his hair an pulled his bag more onto his shoulder. he wanted to stay and talk to her but he was awful at conversations at the moment. he was all over the place and he didn't know how to stop or fix it, he was prone to saying things without thinking about them. which was something so not like him. usually everything that came out of his mouth was so carefully thought out. but since the stress of what had happened to his mother, something in his mind seemed to have snapped.

As Albus said the book wasn't useful, Andy felt relieved. She didn't want to deal with it in the first place. Better to fake it through the assignment than worry about a stupid book anyway. Woah, woah, where was this aggression coming from? She took a deep breath, looking up as he asked what she needed it for. "I just wanted to see if it could help with that assignment we got last week. I'm assuming that's why you're using it?" her voice was tense, but it didn't sound cruel. Just tightened, like she couldn't fit the words through.
She took a step forward. Looking down at the book on the table in between them. "I guess I won't worry about it then..." she looked up at him and realized how close she suddenly was. Albus Potter. She had barely spent any time with him, barely even looked at him. He was the son of Harry Potter. The enemy of her parents. She had avoided his entire family. The Weasley/Potter clan for years. Even the Longbottoms...
"Hey..." she started, biting her lip a little as she looked up into his eyes. She was having the craziest impulse, and a part of her was about ready to follow it. he was attractive, she couldn't deny that. But she was so lost right now... as she looked into his eyes, she could tell he was just as lost as she was. Probably worse, in some regard. She couldn't help but think that maybe they could help each other. "Do you need... to talk about something, Albus?"
Had she ever said his first name before?

@lestrange something in her voice made him stop. he wasn't sure wat it was but he stopped. felt his body turn back toward her slightly, his green eyes meeting hers as he did. "do you need... to talk about something, albus?" well that was a loaded question. there wouldn't be enough time in the day if he could make himself talk. he wasn't even sure if he'd be able to put how he was feeling into a sentence. it was all so jumbled and muddled. the one feeling he could tell for certain and that was anger, anger that was becoming almost impossible to keep in check. he wondered for a moment if he should try. just try to let it all out and spill into the world. but he knew as soon as he did people would know. it wasn't something that could be taken back. as hard as he was struggling right now he was certain he could handle this on his own. keep his emotions in check and his mind under control and that anger would be carefully hidden back where it had been all these years. "i never need to talk about anything andromeda .. " he said, running his hand down the handle of his book bag before he felt compelled to add. "but thank you"

He never needed to talk about anything? Well, that was a flat out lie. She didn't know him but she knew that his mother had been attacked and his sister, who was in her house, had recently been bitten by a werewolf. He really never needed to talk? Yeah, right. Her skepticism may have showed in her face, but she quickly wiped it away. He did say thank you, however, which was unexpected. "You could call me Andy," she found herself saying, which also surprised her.
Now, she was in a delicate situation. She could stand there awkwardly and let him leave first. She could walk away... She could reach out and put a hand on his shoulder, in some kind of... Comforting gesture?
She chose to stand there, waiting for him to speak first. In all reality sure could have been standing there for a few seconds in silence or a few minutes and she wouldn't have been able to tell.

@lestrange "andy" he said, in reply to her telling him that he could call her that. it felt weird. he didn't know why but the name coming out of his mouth and rolling off his tongue felt different. he couldn't place his finger on it. he wasn't sure about it. he stayed there, stuck for just a moment as his eyes caught hers. he didn't know how long it had been before he managed to divert his eyes and move his feet. he didn't move away from her though, in fact it was quite the opposite. "here" he said, reaching behind her to take a book off the shelf. if her assignment was the same one that he was working on too this book would be able to help her. "try this one" he said as he held it in his hand, his eyes moving back to her face to look at her again. "it's better"

As he said her name, Andy felt a strange... something in the air. His eyes caught hers, and she couldn't move. Finally, he seemed to be moving away but he wasn't. As he reached behind her, she felt herself leaning back into the bookshelf in order to create more distance between them, but it didn't do much good. He clasped a book behind her, but she didn't turn to look. "Ye-yeah," she started to stay. She leaned forward a little, then stopped. "Thanks," there was a lump in her throat as she froze again, this time her eyes flickered to his lips.
What was going on? Here she was, trapped in close quarters with Albus Potter. His brother was dating her sister, and that was just weird... but maybe, maybe the Potters and Lestranges had a strangely strong connection. A bad one in the past, no doubt, but a good one now?
"Do you-" she didn't know what she was going to say next, but she stopped herself.

@lestrange he was closer to her. closer then he'd ever been to her. it was strange the feeling that had started to spread through him. he tried to think about walking out but for some reason his feet didn't do the steps his brain was telling him to do. instead he reached behind her to put the book down on the table. his eyes darted to her lips then to her eyes again, his hand moving to run through his hair lightly and he took his lip between his teeth for a flicker of a second, hoping that his feelings weren't showing on his face. without thinking or saying anything he lifted his hand to the back of her neck, his fingers brushing her skin lightly as he leaned into kiss her.

Andy was surprised by how calm she suddenly became when Albus's hand traced the back of her neck. She knew what was coming and... she was oddly okay with it. She leaned into it even. As his lips brushed hers, Andy felt a rush of energy come from her stomach to her heart as she kissed him. She lifted her own hand, clutching at the fabric of the front of his shirt, anchoring him to her as she continued to kiss him. She pulled him toward her until her back was completely against the bookcase.
After a few moments, or maybe hours, Andy finally used the same hand to push him back, breathing heavily. "What the heck is happening?" she said almost immediately after his lips were torn from hers.
Oh, this was a really bad idea. So, of course, she pulled him back toward her to kiss him again...

@lestrange feeling her clutch at the front of his shirt, albus leaned forward and into her, his arm slipping around the back of her waist to pull her against him gently as he kissed her. it wasn't something he'd planned on doing. it had been a spur of the moment kiss that was going to last more than a moment. he tightened his arm around her carefully, his head tilting to the side as his fingers worked the back of her neck, finding their way up to her hair to tangle into her locks. he breathed when he felt her push him away gently, shifting so there was space between them, though he kept his arm around her waist, his head tilting almost lazily to the side as she asked the question. "i think it's obvious .." he said with almost a grin slipping onto his face as he felt her pull him back toward her and he obliged, his head dipping down carefully to catch her lip once more.

There were only two things that were obvious to Andy in this moment. One, that this was a really, really bad idea. And two, that she wasn't going to stop him, or herself, as they kissed again. She found herself smiling against his lips. She was surprised at the way they worked together, like this was a totally normal thing. She lifted slightly onto her toes in order to wrap both arms around his neck, lacing one hand into his hair to anchor him to her again. And so it went on. They kissed, she pulled him toward her one second and the next was pushing him back into the bookshelf behind him. It was like their own secret place, their little nook. It was like they'd done this a hundred times. (alright Ondina Nell Weasley xD)

((Siiiiiiiiiigh. Fine. Ondina can harass interrupt them.))
You never knew what you would find in the Hogwarts library.
Ondina had only come for a few minutes, just long enough to return the book she'd just finished. After that was done though... Something told the girl to stay. She couldn't put her finger on it, but the pull was strong. Slowly, she wandered aimlessly through the rows of books, trying to find some sort of explanation. The place was nearly deserted, and she was about ready to just turn and leave when she heard something... The slytherin froze mid step, her head tilting a little as the sound. What was that? Turning back around, she continued on the path she'd nearly abandoned, this time positive there was something here. And she found it in the next aisle.
Her cousin, Albus Potter, and Andromeda Lestrange less then ten feet from her, making out. She back pedaled quickly, so as to avoid being immediately spotted. What in the world? Those two? Really? She hid there, in shock, for a few moments as the realization slowly sunk in. Finally though, an absolutely wicked grin spread across her lips. She had nothing against Andromeda, really. Albus though? She'd take any opportunity to make his life miserable, even if there was some... collateral damage along the way. She spun around, bolting back the way she came with out any hesitation to find the librarian, who, stormed down the aisles before Ondina could even finish telling the woman what she'd seen.
As much as she wanted to stay and watch the impending storm, she didn't feel like dealing with Albus right now. So, just as silently as she'd arrived, she left.

@lestrange he pulled her back with him as he felt her push her hands against his chest. he felt his back hit the book case behind him, making one or two of the books fall down around them but he hardly noticed them, his arms wrapped around her small waist and held her against his body as they continued the kiss. it was odd, he'd never had any feelings toward her before but as they stood there, pressed up against the book shelf in the desserted library he felt better than he had in weeks. his hand splayed against her back softly, his fingers strong in edging her even closer to his body and he worked his fingers up to the nape her her neck then dancing lightly into her hair. he pulled back sharly when he heard the sound of someone calling his name. the librarian. how had she found out? he acted quick, dropping the hand from the back of andy's neck and reaching into his back pocket to pull out his wand. casting a quick spell he used the hand on andy's waist to turn her and he reached to take her hand. "run" he said with a quick grin as he cast a spell on the bookshelves to make the books fly off the shelves and the shelves themselves to turn into a wall so they could escape. he had no doubt the librarian would be able to stop it as quick as albus had started it, so they had to hurry out of there.

Andy was sadly ripped away from the moment by the sound of someone calling out Albus's name. She gasped as he turned her, reaching for her hand She took his, understanding before he spoke that they were going to make a break for it. She couldn't help but grin as they started at a run, a laugh escaping her lips. She hadn't laughed like that since... well, since she and Phil were spending more time together over the break, when they were best friends...
She pushed thoughts of him aside as she ran through the library with Albus until they were safely in the hall. She laughed again, out of breath, as they turned the corner. She flattened her back against the wall and turn to Albus with a bright smile. "Well, well. What other adventures have you got for me, Albus Potter?"
Oh, oh this was such a bed idea....
