Ondina spent a lot of time in the Hospital Wing. More so then was considered normal, even by Wizarding Standards. It wasn't for injuries though. The girl was actually incredibly careful about her health... But that was exactly why she was here. Her health. Every Friday, right after lunch, she was to here. Ensuring her weak immune system didn't accidentally catch some illness, and that her asthma didn't get out of control. It had been a lot better lately. The attacks had been less frequent and less severe. Her health had also been much better lately, probably because they'd been more proactive and careful about it lately.... But Ondina liked to think it was because of the handsome knew Healer, Cassius Leonata. It was his first year at Hogwarts. And Ondina wasn't ashamed to admit that she had a slight crush on the man. But who wouldn't?
The Slytherin was running a little late today, and she was taking the stairs two at a time. She'd stuck a roll in her mouth as she ran, one hand stuffed with several more while the other hung tightly to her bag. It was a little to easy to tell she was... excited. Most people wouldn't. Shouldn't. It wasn't something you should look forward to. She couldn't help it though. Even though she was currently seeing Scorpius Malfoy, she always looked forward to seeing Cassius....
She slowed down before she burst through the doors of the Hospital Wing like an excited school girl. Stashing the extra rolls in her bag she dropped the one from her mouth to the now free hand, just in time too. Another student had happened the door, exiting. Ondina couldn't stop the nasty look she gave them as she slipped through the open door. It was near empty, it usually was. If students could help it, they tried to avoid this place on a Friday afternoon. "Sorry, I'm late." she sheepishly apologized, with a not so apologetic smile, as she crossed the room, approaching the young healer.

Cassius was waiting for his schedule appointment with Ondina Weasley. She was a sixth year Slytherin with a terrible immune system. He had rarely seen anything like it, especially in the wizarding world. Still, it was hard to find medicinal ways to help something like that. The best thing he could do was give her potions every few weeks and keep a close an on her, not that this was a hard thing to do.
He was only three years older than her, so he didn't see it as a problem that he found the girl charismatic and endearing. Still, he did understand the position he was in verses the fact that she was a student. He had to keep propriety alive, right? Hah, as if Cass believed in propriety. The idea of a staff member and a student having some sort of relationship... well, the idea was almost as exciting to Cass as Elaines plans were. Still, he was a respectful guy and he didn't really have feelings for the girl. At least not anything realistic.
As she walked in, apologizing for being late, Cass smiled dapperly at her and stood, waiting for her to reach him before speaking. "No problem at all Ms, Weasley. Have a seat," he said, gesturing to the bed beside which he was standing.

Ondina only remembered Cassius vaguely when he was a student. He'd been several years ahead of her, and neither of their circle of friends had really interacted. She'd known who he was though, and had admired him from afar. It had amounted to anything, obviously, and that was probably due to Scorpius. Even before they officially started daring, the pair had circled around each other.
The girl quickly hid the roll in her hand as she spotted him, waiting with that charming smile of his that always drew out her own. Stuffing it into her bag for 'safe keeping' she approached him far calmer then she'd been outside. It was almost like a switch had been flipped. She was calm, collected, and... well, Ondina Weasley. "Haven't I told you to call me Ondina? There are six other 'Ms. Weasleys' here, after all. I'd hate for you to mistake me for one of them." She smiled sweetly as she took a seat on the bed.

True, she did have a lot of relatives here. "Well, if you insist, Ondina," he said with his charming smile and a debonair look. He moved beside her and began doing the check up, casting non-verbal spells when needed as he worked. "Your blood pressure is looking well, you've been keeping calm, then?" there was a slight tone of amusement in his voice as he spoke. He was a professional, but that didn't mean he didn't enjoy his work. Especially since Ondina had been around so much, he felt as though he had earned friend status which warranted occasional teasing. He stepped beside her, placing one hand on her back and with the other hand he tapped his wand to the front of her chest. "Breathe for me." His wand acted as a stethoscope as he listened to her lungs. Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina's expression lit up when he said her name, more then a little pleased. It was an odd expression for the girl to look so... well, happy. While she wasn't a unhappy teenager, she wasn't generally known for being perky. No, only a rare few people actually saw this look. Scorpius, of course, saw it the most. But with every meeting she had with Cassius, it became more and more frequent for her to flash sincere joy around him. "See, that wasn't so hard, now was it?" She was praising him, in her own way, though it didn't really sound like it.
The girl was more then used to her weekly checkups by now. When she was little, she would kick and scream everytime her parents had tried to take her to a healer. After a while, they'd started to bribe the girl to behave. Maybe that was why some of her cousins considered her spoiled rotten... She had no shame agreeing with them. "I'm always calm." She responded to his teasing, a smug smirk on her lips. Surprisingly, Ondina actually was good at staying calm. After struggling with her health conditions her entire life, she'd learned just how far she could push her emotions before it triggered an asthma attack.
"You're so serious today." She retorted to his command. None the less, she took as deep of a breath as she could. She had a rare form of asthma. One that made even the simplest task, such a breathing, quite a chore. Ondina was good at hiding it, which was how she'd gotten away with fooling most the school, for so long. Cassius. She couldn't hide her labored breaths from him, especially with his wand to her chest. Not only that, in his short time at the school, he'd seen at least a dozen minor asthma attacks. Thankfully, he'd yet to see any severe ones yet. And she prayed he never would...

At Ondinas comment about saying her first name not being so hard, Cassius simply smirked even more. "No, I guess not," and it really wasn't. Still, there was a certain sense of propriety one had to keep up, right? Hah, Cass laughed internally at that. Propriety was the last thing that he was, but there was still a level of professionalism that was important to think about when wanted to keep ones job. Even when Elaine did reveal herself and things got out of hand it was probably best for him to keep his position at the school. It was incredibly useful already and could become even moreso in the future. Still, it would be fun to run free with the baddies a little bit...
As she talked about being calm, Cass smirked right back at her. "That's true. I've seen you at the quidditch matches, not a single cheer out of you. Though, you do seem to lighten up a little when the Malfoy boy appears on the pitch," he chuckled at himself. He knew that Ondina and Scorpius had been involved with one another many times, and he always found amusement in the idea. Scorpius was nothing like his family line, Cass could see that. He was kind and honest, a strange predictable type of boy. Cassius thought Ondina needed someone a little more... daring.
As Cass listened, he heard the labored breathing that he expected. He chuckled at her words, lowering the wand and sitting on the bed beside her. "Well, the good news is nothing unusual is happening. It's the same as always. Unless," he leaned closer, just a tad, "my seriousness is making it hard to breathe?" he held his ground for a short moment before pulling away, reaching down to clasp her wrist with both hands, checking her pulse in the traditional way. "Anyway, you know the drill. You can always shoot up red sparks whenever you need me, I'll find you." He was genuine in his tone and in his eyes as he looked up at her face.

Ondina hadn't put much thought into the fact that Cassius was one of the school's staff members. Actually, scratch that. She didn't really see him as one. Maybe it was because their schooling carriers had overlapped so much. Or maybe they just got along to well for her to really see him as an authority figure...
"Quidditch is boring. Attractive players make it slightly more bearable." The comment made Ondina sound far more shallow then she actually was. Or. Maybe she was this shallow? It certainly wouldn't surprise anyone. "You aren't jealous, are you?" She taunted. The girl should be more careful, especially since he had the authority to drive up punishment for her actions, but that made it even more fun... Especially since she wasn't the only one a little to close to crossing the line.
The girl's smile was meant to be innocent as he leaned closer, but it came out far to wicked. "Abd what if I said yes?"
"Everyone uses red though. How would you know it was me?" she asked, far more seriously then any of her previous statements or taunts. She knew he meant it, and for that reason she offered a sincere smile.

Cass chuckled at her mention of attractive palyers helping the game along. Cass had played as a Gryffindor Chaser back in his day, during Ondinas first few years of school. As she asked if he was jealous, Cass smirked even moreso, "Why would I be? I know your first few years of school you must have been grateful for my help in that department. If anything, I should be apologizing to you for not helping out in that regard anymore," he said, dripping charm.
As he leaned in closer, her smile shifted to match his attitude. Man, he could have kissed her right then... but he didn't, of course. Cass wasn't sure if their little friendship was quiet ready for something that dramatic. Had they both still be students then yeah, he would easily have had her in his arms by now. Cass was a bit... reckless in the romance department back then. Only two short years ago. "Hmm.. in that case, I'd have to stop being so serious for your healths sake," he saidm pulling back at that time.
She had a good point about the red sparks. He nodded, "well, in that case, Ondina, we're going to need to think of something just for us... our little code. Oh, I have an idea!" he moved away excitedly as he lifted his wand. He aimed upward and gave his wand a little spin. Out of it flew green sparks, but they danced in the shape of little turtles as if they were swimming in the air. "Something like that?"

Ondina did remember Cassius' school days, or better yet, his Quidditch days. He'd been a pretty good player, from what others told her. She'd never really understood what made someone 'good' or not. She'd been to focused on who the best looking players were, Ccassius included. "You know, you could still help with that, I'm sure you still have your broom." She matched that charm he was practically oozing with her own innocent smile. "It's alright if you're out of practice, I won't laugh if you fall off." she continued teasingly. Personally, she flew rarely. Quidditch was an even rarer activity. They tended to have a higher risk of causing an asthma attack.
Ondina felt a little strange when Cassius was so close, close enough that it would have been all to easy to close that remaining distance. What was this feeling? Taking a short breath, she realized what it was. Her heart had skipped a beat. Sure, Cassius was charming, handsome, smart, and so many other things, but he was not her boyfriend, the person only person that should have this sort of affect on her. So then... Why was it that the man next to he managed to make her feel that, and not her own boyfriend? She should be mortified, or disgusted that she was feeling this way about someone she wasn't dating. Why did she feel so excited..? "I'm glad you care so much about my health." She simply responded, slightly put out that he'd pulled away.
Ondina grinned as he stood and, quite flamboyantly, decided how they would signal to each if they were in danger. "Why turtles?" She asked as she pulled her own wand out and gave it a wave to have her own green turtles join his. Another wave, and her's molted into a variety of colors. Charms happened to be one of her best subjects, though it paled in comparison to her skills in Transfiguration...

Cass couldn't help but chuckle as Ondina talked about how he could still use his broom and that she wouldn't laugh if he fell off. "I'd only fall off if I was distracted," he said, raising a quizzical brow at her. "And trust me, very few things distract me. But you just might be an exception," he added. He knew that he was having an effect on her, because she was having an effect on him. He had been around and with plenty of girls, obviously, but this was a different sort of feeling. A tug in his gut, a strong one, that was constantly pulling him closer to her. "You're health is my main concern, Ondina," he added with a little shrug of his shoulders.
He chuckled as she called him out on the turtles. He watched as she pulled her one wand out and mimicked his charm, following it with a little flourish of her own. He lifted his hands together to give a brief applause. "You're very talented, Ondina," she said, looking back at her once more. "The turtles were really just a random choice but... I'm in if you are."

"I'm good at distractions." The girl breathed softly, so as only Cassius had the chance of hearing it. They were practically alone as it was, except for a few sleeping patients. Ondina was positive, and had been since these meetings started, that she wanted to be with Cassius. And not just as 'healer and healee' or friends. Scorpius always pulled her away though, like a magnet. The pull was strong, but.... The more time she spent with Cassius? The stronger his pull became... And she was pretty sure he felt it too.
Ondina smiled proudly at his compliment. "Oh, you have no idea." She smugly commented, giving him the briefest of glances before focusing on the turtles once again. Cassius probably knew quite well how good her spell work was. After all, he worked in the Hospital wing, and she'd been the source for several students admittance to the place this past year. "I like them. It'll be our secret." She stated, that cocky look softening a bit. She wasn't actually a fan of turtles, or most animals for that matter. But for some reason, in this moment, the little creatures grew on her. With another wave, they all changed back to green, as planned. "You better come if you see them." Her voice turned more scolding as she faced him again with a serious look. She'd probably never actually use them for their intended purpose, but he didn't need to know that, did he?

Cassius had to let out the breath he didn't realize he had been holding as she said that she was good at distractions. He chuckled, wanting to pull farther away from her, maybe even stand up and pretend to busy himself with something, but he found that he couldn't move. He just stayed there as their conversation shifted to the turtles. "Our secret... I like that," he said, nodding up at the dancing turtles above their heads.
He could hear that tone in her voice. That tone almost daring him to come to her, as if he was at her command. He raised an eyebrow at her, turning to face her again. "A deals a deal, Ondina. I will be there day or night," he said, his voice sincere and low once again. He almost licked his lips, but caught himself before he let it happen. As much as Cass liked causing trouble, he didn't really want to be with Ondina like this. As a secondary when she was dating someone else. No, he would have to wait his turn...
He snapped himself out of that train of thought and with a flick of his wand the turtles spun around in one more spiral before disappearing. He turned to Ondina with a half smile. "Well, everything is in order here." He didn't want her to leave, but he didn't know what else to say at this point. At least not something that wouldn't get him into trouble...

Ondina knew she was dangerously close to crossing that line, the line that would change everything. She glanced at Cassius out of the corner of her eyes, watching his reaction to her bold statement. A small, but wicked smirk, touched her lips, It softened though when he finally managed to speak, though he didn't address her remake. Typical of him to withdraw so quickly.
"I know you will." She calmly proclaimed. She did know it. "You know that goes both ways, right?" She asked, tilting her head to gaze at him. She sounded so serious... and genuine. She kept her emerald gaze focused on him for another moment, before grinning. "After all, I'd be a pain if I lost my healer." She teased, though it sounded just as serious and genuine as before.
His last comment, giving her the all clear, finally brought Ondina back to reality. She had a boyfriend. One she cared about deeply. She'd never been the cheating sort... Why was she so tempted now..? What was it about Cassius that made her forget about Scorpius? Why did she want to forget? She needed to leave.... Before she crossed that line they were so close to crossing. Needed to get back to Scorpius and remind herself why she'd chosen him... "Don't sound so surprised. I'm not as fragile as everyone thinks." She stated as she hopped off the bed, scooping up her bag. "Try not to miss me to much until our next meeting." She smugly added as she headed for the door, waving over her shoulder as she left.
She might have told him not to miss her... But the advice was really for herself.
