hello there, my name is isla doyle but you can call me isla is fine. i'm 18 so that makes me a graduate of Hogwarts, where I resided in hufflepuff house. You could say I'm hard working, patient, & loyal but I personally think that I am protective, simple, and cheerful. People say I look a lot like ginny gardner, but I don't really see it...

overall personality:
Isla is.... well.... She was raised on a farm. Enough said. She's a hardworking young woman who jumps at the chance of getting her hands dirty. She loves the outdoors, and staying busy. Whether it be helping her father run their farm, or simply running through their fields. You'll rarely find her inside if she can help it. She doesn't care about material possessions, and money. She's a firm believer that you can't buy happiness, you make it.
While a happy and cheerful young woman, Isla is also stubborn and stern. Basically... She was always having to play mother hen with her friends. She's the voice of reason when something is stupid, or dangerous. You'll never get her to change her mind when it's been made. And if she doesn't agree with something? She'll make it impossible for you to go through with the plan, even if it isn't any of her business. At least it means she cares! She just wants to keep those close to her safe. Is that such a bad thing?
Isla can be a bit bashful when meeting new people, and easily becomes flustered. She isn't fancy with words. So she says it how it is, sometimes with brutal honestly. Sometimes though, words fail her completely, so she lets her actions speak for her.

personal history
mother:
Renee Doyle nee O'Reilly, passed away at the age of 30
father:
Rory Doyle, humble farmer, 45
siblings:
only child
pets:
plenty.... her dad runs a farm. They have several dogs, cats, sheep, cows... Just to name a few.
history:
Renee and Rory Doyle were a young couple with a bright future. They inherited the Doyle family farm as a wedding present, a beautiful plot of land on the Irish coast. They had a dream, to continue the family business and raise a large family with as many children as possible. Only a few short years into their marriage they welcomed their first child into the world, Isla Renee Doyle. She was such a happy and beautiful baby girl. Not to long after her birth though, her mother's health began to fail. They put off seeing the doctor though, hoping that it would pass. It didn't, until finally she collapsed and was rushed to a hospital. The news wasn't good, she had cancer... And there was nothing they could do. It had progressed to far. All they could do was make her comfortable. Four months later she passed away, leaving Rory and their 3-year-old daughter.
Rory never remarried. Instead he raised his daughter to the best of his abilities. He taught her how to work, and how to be responsible. Rather then spending her days indoors, watching tv, playing games, or over at a friends she was running out in their fields, chasing the dogs, checking on the cattle or tending their gardens. She loved every second of it. She'd always had an affinity with nature, and her father noticed that the gardens were always more vibrant when she was around. Not only that she had a way with animals... And she'd come home more then once to tell some fantastic story of a strange creature she'd seen in the water when she was near the cliffs.
One day, a man came knocking. He explained to her father and a then barely eleven year old Isla that she was a witch. It wasn't something to fear, but was instead something fantastic. There was a school for people like her, and if her father agreed, she could attend. With his assistance they were able to collect all the supplies she would need and helped see her off.
Her first year was... magical. A whole new world, filled with mysteries just waiting to be discovered. That first night she was sorted into Hufflepuff. Herbology quickly became her favorite subject. And, when she was a third year, it was tied with Care of Magical Creatures.
Her years are Hogwarts were fun, exciting, and rather uneventful. As she neared graduation her Professors were soon asking about careers. All of her friends seemed to know what they wanted to do immediately. One wanted to be an auror, another a healer, etc. But Isla? She didn't know. Up until now, her only desire had been to help her father out with their farm. She'd assumed after graduation she'd simply go back home and work there. That is until the summer before she graduated. While in Flourish and Blott's she met a very interesting fellow that was trying to learn... Troll. Like, the language. Curious as to why you'd ever want to learn that, she started up a conversation. You see, the gentleman was a Security Troll trainer. And the more he told her about his job, the more interested she became.
She spent her entire seventh year thinking about the career. She tried to consider other careers, but she always came back to that. Her friends thought it was ridiculous. But, by the end of the year she was determined, and contacted the man she'd spoken to the summer before. By that Fall she'd landed a position as an apprentice to one of the Veteran trainers. It's been almost a year now, and she's loved every minute of it...
