It had been two days since Andy had experienced her mental breakdown with Albus and Phil had followed her to the Room of Requirement to comfort her. They had decided to become friends again and it had been working out rather nicely. They did homework in the Common Room, walked to classes and did all the normal best friendie stuff that they used to do. They had left their romantic feelings out of it, for now, which was the right thing to do. Even though Andy still felt terrible for almost cursing Albus, she hadn't felt this good in months.
She knew she couldn't ignore the way she had been acting in that moment forever, though. It was as if all the anger of her entire life was ready to burst out of her. It wasn't really that she was that mad at Albus, she wasn't, but it just happened to be the cherry on top it seemed. She hadn't really addressed the issue yet... mostly because she hated the fact that since then a part of her understood why her father was the way he was, and she didn't want to feel that way.
She knew she should go talk to Neville about it, but she wasn't sure how to approached it yet. Maybe after class... "Phil, are you ready?" Andy called up to the boys dormitory. They were about to head to Herbology, which was convenient.

@lestrange Why wasn't today Saturday? This week had been so long, Phil didn't know if he was going to make it to the end. These were his thoughts as he woke up that morning, late. His clock read 8 am. He groaned as he threw his arm over his eyes. Guess he wasn't getting up at 7:30. Slowly he rolled out of bed, his feet landing in his slippers in a practiced move. He grabbed some clothing and changed out of his pajama's. Just as he was shrugging on his robes he heard Andy's voice calling up the twisting stairway. Running a hand through his hair he grabbed his book bag, thankfully he had packed it the night before, and raced down the stairs. "Totally, ready." He beamed at her as he vaulted the last three stairs and landed next to her. True, the week had been a long one, but he wouldn't change it for anything. He and Andy were friends again, Jayden was up and moving around, and Alice had even talked with he and Jay when they had been home last. Sure crazy stuff had happened too, but he was just ignoring that part. After he landed his grin turned to a knowing smile. "Looks like someone is happy this morning." he resisted the urge to kiss her cheek, yes they were friends again. And yes, he had told her he loved her and she the same to him. But where they were was comfortable, friendly, and it seemed to be what Andy needed right now. But he really wanted to kiss her cheek. That was friendly right? He gave her a quick peck. He couldn't help it. "Well, off to class, let's go." He took a few steps, hiding his slight blush.

Andy couldn't help but smile and slightly chuckle as Phil appeared at the top of the stairs and jumped beside her. He didn't look like he had really been ready at all when she called, but she decided not to call him out on it just yet. Then he said that it looked like she was happy this morning and she shrug, unable to wipe the smile off her face even though she tried. "I try," she said quietly before he was leaning forward and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. Her own cheeks reddened and she raised an eyebrow at him as he took a few steps past her. She shook her head, her smile growing as she chewed on the inside of her lip briefly.
She then took the steps to catch up to him and linked arms with him as she did. "Looks like I'm not the only one in a good mood. I didn't think I'd see a smiling face this early in the morning. I mean, after this week," she rolled her eyes and let out a breath, reaching up with her free hand to clasp the arm she had linked through. "I just hope this weekend is one hundred percent uneventful. Wouldn't that be nice!" she exclaimed as they reached the portrait hole and made their way through.
Once in the hall, Andy tried not to notice anyone else around them. She tried to keep her eyes forward or on Phil, praying to God they didn't run into Albus, Jude, Rory, James... gosh, anyone really!

@lestrange Phil didn't even flinch when Andy's arm was suddenly linked to through his. Everything about their relationship today was opposite from last week. Comfortable, happy, open, and best of all, friends again. They left the portrait hole, the Fat Lady swinging closed behind them. "As awful as this week has been, I wish that everyone had as much reason to smile as we do." He grew somber, putting his free hand on top of hers as they walked. "Did you get the homework done for class?" The question was mean to defuse the tension that was suddenly around them. People were everywhere, but the two were all alone. Phil hoped it stayed that way.

Andy smiled and shook her head, looking down at her feet as they walked forward. Then she looked up at him. "I did. Did you?" awe, the small talk. They were pretty good at that because of the last few months of only speaking when they really had to. That thought made Andy sad and she shook her head again to shake the thought off.
"I think that your dad is going to be pretty intense seventh year in Herbology. I mean, especially after everything that's been going on. I'm slightly frightened to learn more about those maneating plants he seems to have a gift with," her eyes widened and she pouted her lip, showing that she was trying to make a joke of sorts.
"I'll just stick to mistletoe," she muttered, a completely different kind of joke! @philiplongbottom

@lestrange Herbology homework. Herbology. Brazil. How was he going to tell Andy he was leaving for 4 months? He couldn't do that to her right now. Especially when they were just starting to fix things between them. Why had he brought homework up? Hoping that his anxiety didn't show, he tried to pay extra attention to what she said next. Too much attention, as it turns out. She mentioned the mistletoe and a flood of memories assaulted him. A greenhouse, the smell of her hair, the feel of her arms wrapped around him. Her lips. He looked over to her, a probablly horrified and longing look on his face. then his feet tripped over the air. He stumbled, his arm ripping away from hers. He flew forward a few steps but managed to catch himself before falling on his face. Torso parallel to the ground, feet spread wide, it took a moment for Phil to be sure he was stable and not going to fall over. As soon as the earth held still he stood up straight and turned back around to her. A smile was on his face an instant later. "Right. Mistletoe."

Andy yelped slightly and reached out as Phil stumbled and caught himself in a rather impressive plank. She raised an eyebrow at him as he stood and spun around to face her, smiling like nothing had happened. She tried to hold it back, she really did, but even if she bit her lip that wasn't going to help the loud laugh from escaping her lips. She clutched her stomach with one arm and had to bend over slightly until her stomach finally started to hurt from the laughter and she had to let it die down. She shook he head, looking back up at him, smiling as well. "You're the smoothest guy I know, Phil. No competition." @philiplongbottom

@lestrange Phil sighed in relief, so thankful that he hadn't fallen on his face. Though his face was red. The lingering memories were difficult to push away. But he did his best. They were building their friendship again, and that was important. He took the two steps back to her and resumed the walk to class. "Smooth is my middle name. Not really. It's Carson, after my uncle. But you know, I could always change it." He joked to her. The joke wasn't forced, in the last days nothing with Andy was really forced and that was a nice change. Their arms swung next to each other in time with their walking. After a few paces, Phil took her arm again, so they could walk with their elbows locked.

Andy let out another short laugh as he spoke. "Aw, what's he like?" she asked. She hadn't met this Carson person, but he seemed to be somewhat of a ghost to her. Always lurking in Phils name, in the family inside jokes and stories... he was just a big mystery to her. She was acutely aware of his hand swinging beside hers and was grateful when he took her arm again so they could walked linked once more. She smiled at him and was glad when the moving staircases portion of the walk was over. That was where the most students congregated and she really wasn't in the mood to be interrogated by anyone right now. That's why she picked up the pace. The sooner they were outside, the better.

@lestrange Phil thought on that for a moment. What was his uncle Carson like? "Well, no one really know what he does. It has something to do with helping people. I mean he worked for International Magical Law Enforcement, but somehow he has gotten a ton of money so he always brings us awesome stuff. My mom said that he is at the Leaky Cauldron right now. He's got a house in London, but he is never there." he explained. Honestly, his uncle was one of his favorite people, and someone he knew next to nothing about. Somewhere in his past there was a family, but his uncle never talked about it. He also didn't talk about work, and Phil hadn't ever asked about it either. "You can meet him when we go home." They walked out of the big front main doors. He saw the courtyard just at the bottom of the stairs and grinned a little. Not two months ago he and Andy had walked across there together, furious that they had to do anything together. Was there anything that she wished they had done differently since they became friends again? He lapsed into silence.

So Carson was a mystery to everyone it seemed. That was a pretty impressive thing to do, really, getting to that point. Andy nodded as he explained that Carson was staying with Hannah rather than at his own house. She didn't say anything further about it as they stepped out onto the lawns. She couldn't help but smile as she remembered that day when the ice was causing them both to slip. She chuckled, tightening her grip on his arm with her hand for a moment.
"Home," she muttered. It was still a foreign concept to her, but not as bad as- oh crap.
There he was, not too far off, using his crutches to walk. Andy panicked, slipping her hand into Phils and pulling him around a corner and behind on archway. There, she flattened her back against the wall. Then she immediately felt ashamed, and embarrassed. She groaned, leaning her head back.

@lestrange Phil loved the tone of her voice as she said home. That was how people should think of home, some place wonderful and safe. Nothing like where Andy used to call home. That wasn't even a home. As her grip tightened on his arm he couldn't hold back a smirk. The bright sun reflecting off of the lake and making the grass greener seemed to be making his whole attitude better. Though that could have been the company he was keeping. he was just musing on those thoughts when suddenly Andy's hand was in his. He wasn't opposed to this, not in the slightest, but then she yanked him backwards. Around a corner and then she was flat backed against the wall of the arch. His momentum carried her right toward her and he stopped himself with one hand on the arch next to her head. Not knowing why they experienced the sudden change in direction he smirked at her. "Just couldn't stand being out there in the open anymore?" He knew it probablly wasn't a joke at all, Andy didn't really do that sort of thing. But the circumstances were just too perfect.

Andy didn't really notice how close Phil was so her now, she was too busy filling her head with self loathing. Then he spoke and she lowered her head to look at him. As what he said registered, she allowed a small smile to creep onto her lips. Then he lifted one hand to smack him in the chest, then just left her hand there flat on his robes. "No, stupid, Albus is out there," she said, jerking her head back the way they had come. "Let's just... stay put for a second," she sighed. Albus was in there class, so she shouldn't have been surprised that he was out there. But... she didn't really feel like walking with him.
"This is stupid, isn't it?" she said, knitting her eyebrows together in worry as she looked at Phil.

@lestrange Phil raised an eyebrow. "Stupid to hide from Albus who is in the same class as we are, or stupid to hide behind a pillar for some private time?" he smirked at her then sighed. "As much as I would love to spend all day out here with you, we do have class. And, if we stay out here much longer we will be late. And... it's Herbology." He nearly pleaded. If she needed to stay out here, and needed support, he was totally willing to do that, but ... Herbology. That was his baby. which brought up the thought of this fall. When he would leave. How was he going to tell Andy?

She sighed, he didn't really answer he question. He just asked her another one. "The first one. Stupid to hide from him. What if he needed help getting down the hill and we hid? Ugh," she leaned back again, banging her head against the stone once or twice. Of course he wanted to go to Herbology. It was his favorite class and his dad was the teacher. "I'm not suggesting we skip just... one more minute?" she pleaded, looking back at him to give him another pout. She knew he was just trying to make jokes to cheer her up, and that brought a small smile to her lips.
Then her mind trailed off to how close they were and her eyes landed on his lips. Nope! She sidestepped away from him, giving them some distance. "You're right, you're right. We should go!"
