Victoire simply smirked as he said she was taking the fun out of his escape. Then they were discussing when they could do an interview and how he wanted it more than he thought he would… how he wanted to work with her. She couldn’t help but smile as the words left his lips and then chuckle a little when he spoke of someone who would just want to replace her. ”I agree. I would love to have you closer to me… not just for my sake, obviously,” she said. ”Are you free on Thursday? Two days from now? We should be open around one,” she nodded as she thought through her upcoming schedule in her head. So far no one had even wanted the position in her office. Heck, rumor was going around that the Minister's office was cursed and the only people who didn’t believe that were either already in office or already had important jobs. She wondered briefly if Royal believed that in any capacity…
She looked down at the watch on her wrist and bit her lip, looking back up at him. "I've got to get back. But I'll see Thursday? If you can?" her eyes were hopeful and she chewed on her lip. Once he answered her she would head out the door with Royal in tow if he was brave enough.
@royal (lol end it on your next post?)

show me the way This was actually happening. The idea was making Royal a little dizzy with anticipation and worry panged at his gut (how was he going to tell his mother?) but more than anything, he was certain that he was happy. It just went to prove that whenever he and Victoire set his mind to the same thing they got things done. “Thursday would be brilliant.” It tended to be a rather slow news day, and he had quite a few of sick days stacked up from the months when he had done nothing but work. “One o’clock.” He confirmed, nodding and making a note on his mental calendar. The fact that she had an opening so soon worried Royal the slightest bit, but he knew just as well as she that the rumors about curses were running rampant. Personally, Royal didn’t think there was such curse. It was a dangerous job no matter who held it, and was made more dangerous by the current climate of Wizarding Britain.
Royal was stunned when he looked down at his own watch and realized how much time had elapsed. He hoped he hadn’t spoiled his dinner with all of the cookie dough he had been sucking down. “Send me an owl or drop by if anything changes?” He asked, following her out of the door and into the glaring eyes of Teddy and Ron. They’d have to do a lot better than stare if they wanted to keep Royal away from his best friend. He could take anything they could give him, just like his father. For a half a moment, Royal wondered if Kingsley would be proud. It was a stupid question – his dad would have been proud no matter what, but Royal hoped that somewhere, somehow, his father had seen what had happened, and was smiling.
@victoire (this was so longggg but yay finished!)
