RESCUE ME (order members, aurors, kidnapees)

That morning had been intense. The plant care packages had been revealed the day before and the students had spent the entire night plotting their escape. That morning, April 5th, the student started to activate the plants with caution in order to start their escape. Before they got far, however, Braelynn showed up and told them to lay low until help came. She looked radiant and intense and she seemed to appear out of thin air to save him. Them. She only took him and Leigh out, however. She wanted Zander to use his mirror to call his uncle, and Leigh was there for extra protection. Soon the three were tearing down the halls, mirror in hand, as they ran for the entrance.

They were caught and stopped, however, by Desirae Rosseau. Bay stayed behind to fight her, whereas Zander and Leigh ran outside to contact Zanders Uncle Carson with the mirror.

Zander lifted the mirror to eye level, glancing back at the house and hoping that they hadn't been discovered yet. "Carson? Uncle Carson? Are you there?" he called, tapping the mirror and shaking it, hoping that this was going to work. If he could get a hold of Carson then Carson could contact the Order and they could give them coordinates. Show them the stars or something... either way, Carson had to answer first!

Another fruitless day of searching. It had stretched into the night, and by stretched it meant that it was 8:00 am and he had been out all night. He should have gone home ages ago, hopefully Lelia hadn't waited up for him.

Muttering the code word and waving his wand to perform the counter-curse, he was then able to push the door of his apartment open and walk into the small front room. Lelia was curled up on the couch, obviously having fallen asleep while waiting for him. He smiled and moved to sit down next to her but suddenly he heard a muffled voice coming from his pocket.

"Carson? Uncle Carson? Are you there?" Carson froze. His mind went back to the mirror that Neville had given him. Neville was trying to get a package to the kidnapped students, but it was difficult since no one knew where they were. But he had said he was going to try his best. Apparently, he had succeeded.

Carson whipped the mirror out of his pocket.

"Zander? Zander where are you?" His eyes could have burnt holes through the glass because of how hard he looked at it. Zander's face shone back at him. "Yeah, it's me. Listen, I don't know where we are but I thought maybe," he turned the mirror toward the sky. "You could use the stars to find us?" Carson memorized the picture in his mind and quickly went to get a piece of paper, to draw it before it slipped from his memory.

"That is perfect, Zander. Does anyone know you escaped?" he said, a little distractedly. Now that the picture was crudely drawn he was going through his memory banks trying to remember where the stars were this time of the year.

"I don't think so, just Bay, but she is helping us. She is inside fighting her sister to give us more time to get you here." Carson was silent for a few minutes as he thought, Zander's eyes danced around his surroundings anxiously. Carson couldn't blame him. He had been in captivity more than once and it was unnerving being at someone else's mercy.

"Got it." Carson gave Lelia a quick kiss, waved his wand to leave a note for her, telling her where he had gone, and then he tore out the front door. He had put spells on his home that prevented anyone from apparating in or out of it. Once outside of the threashold he turned on the spot...

Reappearing in front of an abandoned mansion in Scotland, right next to his nephew. Before anything else could happen, Carson pulled his nephew into a hug. He had been so worried, and honestly, he would have done anything to find him. Thankfully, finding him, though having taken a few days, had been easier than he would have thought.

After a moment, he pulled away, noticing another boy with Zander.

"Where are the others?" he asked. "Back inside" Zander replied. Nodding Carson raised his already drawn wand and summoned his patronus, getting it ready to send a message.

"I am sending you the coordinate of the mansion where the students are being kept. Get here as soon as possible, wands ready." And he sent the patronus off to Neville, hoping his brother-in-law would be in a position to get here quickly.

outside was a bad place to be. it was too open and he felt like something was going to jump out of the shadows at them at any moment while zander tried his luck with the magic mirror. he kept the wand he'd grabbed from a merc raised, just to be on the safe side as he looked back at the building where they had left bay fighting her sister. it was odd, he felt guilty for having left. he had more of a connection with bay than he did the lloyd kid. his eyes widened a little in surprise when he heard a voice carry through into where they were and he took a few steps closer to zander and glanced at the mirror. carson .. nope he had no idea who he was talking to. "I don't think so, just Bay, but she is helping us. She is inside fighting her sister to give us more time to get you here." he shook his head and fixed zander with an 'are you an idiot' look and he glanced back to towards where they had come from. "i think it's safe to say desi might know" he shifted back as he heard a rustling in the leaves around them and he looked closer till he realised it was just the wind picking up. great, now he was becoming paranoid. not that one could blame him .. he turned back when he heard the sound of someone aparating close by and he saw the guy zander had been talking to suddenly grab him in a hug and he frowned just slightly. in that moment it made him realise there was no parent worrying about him back home .. no parent waiting to .. the more he thought about it the more he realised that he'd never been hugged by his parents .. well not that he could remember. but now wasn't the rime for that. he shook his head and stepped forward. "as touching as this reunion is .. " he said with another frown as he heard carson send off a patronus for someone. he cast a quick spell, aiming it at the ground and he frowned a bit when it only just made the top layer of dirt shift. "great" he muttered as he cast it again, this time with more force and a little more feeling and he was satisfied when it left a small crater in the ground. he had never used another persons wand before and he wasn't looking forward to how tricky it was going to get. he looked at zander. "i'm pretty sure bay wants you to stay here" he said as he started back toward their place of captivity. he'd get out the girl he'd held a grudge against for years .. with no idea why he was doing it.

The students have been found.

As soon as Neville was contacted the Order heard rapidly and was given the location. Victoire would handle things at the Ministry and assemble a team to contact the students families and places to meet them and @hermionejean would assemble the aurors. The others were asked to meet at the vantage point as quickly as possible.

Leslie apparated just in time to see one student, Raleigh Flint, walking back toward the building. She turned to Carson. They had been school mates and house mates back in the day but she hadn't seen him in years. She patted him on the arm before turning to Zander. "Zander!" she exclaimed, "thank heavens. The others are inside? Where? Someone stop Raleigh from going back in there!" she was talking quickly but in a hushed tone, wand in hand.

She turned to Carson. "I can stay out here and send kids back as you guys get them out. You should go after Raleigh, he probably knows where they're being kept."

Carson didn't smile, but he was thankful that Lelise, one of his old classmates, was on the scene. He didn't mind leaving his nephew if he knew someone capable was here to watch him.

"Make sure the other members know where to go once they get here." he told her even as he broke into a run toward the building. He wouldn't catch Raleigh before he got inside, but he could catch him right after. As he closed the distance between himself and the seventh year he thought of this girl, Bay. Zander had said her name in a way that was very familiar to Carson, with the same passion he though of Lelia. That bumped her up on Carson's mental priority list. Of course he wasn't going to leave until all of the students were safe, and yes, Zander was at the top of the list, but he was safe now. Or as safe as he could be for the moment.

Ahead of him, Raleigh re-entered the building and Carson picked up his speed.

Hermione had been given orders to get the Aurors ready for departure, which she looked to her best friend for support. She did a quick headcount of how many there were, and looked at Harry, allowing her thoughts and fears to speak through her expression. While none of their children had been taken, their friends and classmates had been held captive by these monsters and had been targeted because of their pureblood status, according to the recent findings. She shuddered angrily; it was like 1997 all over again when Voldemort had taken over the Ministry and was forcing Muggleborn witches and wizards to be interrogated by that nasty piece of work Dolores Umbridge on how they “stole” their magic from wizards. She hoped that their pureblood statuses had kept them from too much harm, but unfortunately in her lifetime she had learned to never expect the best out of anyone, especially someone who would murder a student and leave him hanging for all to see.

“Aurors! We need to leave now, here are the coordinates,” she announced, her clear voice ringing loudly over the low murmurs of the assembled. She pointed her wand over their heads and the coordinates Carson had sent over formed from the gold ribbon shot out of the tip. “Everyone, Apparate in 3…2…1…now!” she commanded, and spun on the spot. A few seconds of the suffocating vortex and the group reformed outside a large manor house. She spotted Leslie and immediately ran over to her. “Are they inside?” she asked, her eyes burning brightly. She turned around before her best friend could answer, wand clenched in her hand.

“I want this half to go through the front, the rest of you and find a way in through the back so that we have them on all sides. Both groups post sentries near any exits you may find so they can’t escape. Finally I need two volunteers to help Leslie get the students back to Hogsmeade by using side-along Apparition,” she spoke with a quick and authoritative tone, but not so loud as to alert the people inside to their presence. That would be known soon enough. She turned to Harry and dropped her voice. “Harry I’d prefer you go along back, but I trust you to know yourself and what you need to get done, so do it,” she whispered. She had complete faith in him with whatever he did; he’d get those students back.

Just after the Aurors arrived at the location Carson had given them, Neville appeared himself, landing near Hermione and looking around. He closed his eyes for a moment, reaching out with his senses—and smiled. Plants were growing here. “My plants are growing strong down in the basement. Look there first.” But his role wasn’t to charge into the fray and cut down their enemies, not tonight. Tonight, he had a different role to play.

He raised his right arm, and a half dozen vines whipped out from within his robes, latching themselves onto the roof. Another quick burst of magic and the vines hauled him up to the roof with surprising speed. The Headmaster turned and launched a ball of glowing white energy out, spilling light over the grounds around the rescue party’s landing site. He took off, running the perimeter of the building, creating more balls of light at regular intervals, brightening the grounds around the makeshift prison. The Aurors on guard would be able to see anyone escaping or approaching.

And a quick flare of red sparks would bring Neville to their aid, where he could rain curses down from above on anyone stupid enough to threaten his students twice.

As more people arrived, Leslie took her position with Hermiones aurors to assist in the side along apparition. She gave her best friend a wide smile when she arrived and dispersed her team. Then Neville made his appearance, stationing himself on the roof of building. They were well prepared for any mercenaries that were still around... the only issue was, did they escape or were there still people to-

Her questions was answered as a half a dozen masked men crossed by a window, ready to attempt coming outside, it seemed.

"Okay Zander, time to go," she said, reaching for the boy and leading him toward one of the aurors.

Zander felt an unbelievable sense of relief when Carson showed up. Sadly, it had taken them almost ten minutes by the time Leigh ran back inside. Professor Meagle arrived and Zander nodded toward her before turning back to Carson. "Desi is Bay's sister. She's one of them," he muttered before Carson ran after Leigh back into the house. Who knows what state Desi would be in, or if she had time to warn the others...

Zander turned to Leslie to say he was going with them but before he could more people were showing up taking position and he was being pushed farther and farther from the building as they came. Then before he knew it, Professor Meagle was grabbing his arm. "No-Professor I have to-" he got one more glance back at the house, seeing the group of mercenaries break through the front door and the chaos began. Then he, and the auror with him, were gone....

Life had an uncanny way of replicating Royal’s nightmares. He had thought it first when his father had died, but the grief that had followed Kingsley’s death couldn’t even be touched by something as simple as a dream by a dreamer who knew nothing, nothing of what it was to lose everything you loved in the world. Now that he was older and wiser, Royal’s nightmares had evolved. He had imagined a hundred deaths for Adelaide every night, and a thousand means of torture. At least now he could say that, no matter what he saw, he would not be surprised. He would not be torn apart twice by naïveté and believing that everything would be alright.

He Apparated alongside anyone else, swallowing down the fear that kept rising inside of him. He was, as far as he knew, the only one that had a personal stake in this mission, and that made him dangerous. Dangerous not only to his enemies, but his allies as well. He couldn’t go into the house, that much was clear. He wouldn’t be able to obey orders, especially if ignoring them meant that he would get to his sister. He could not make himself a liability. “I’ll help Apparate the kids back.” He told Hermione. One of the professors was already taking the first student back, and Royal waited, more than slightly impatiently, for someone else to emerge from the house. His sister would come out, dead or alive, and he needed to be there to see it.

they had been found. finally. it had only been a few days but it was a few days too long. he apparateed along with the rest of the order and a few aurors to the place that they had been told they were and he frowned a little. he arrived in time to hear hermione tell people what she wanted them to do and he saw one of the students, zander lloyd being taken to a professor so he could be apparated out of there. calex frowned and watched the mercenaries burst through the front door of the building before them and he stepped forward, he saw the lights going up, lighting the ground around them and he knew neville was out there working his magic. it was time for the rest of them to use theirs. he gripped his wand in his fingers and aimed it at the ground, slashed it and watched the ground split open at his feet, the sound of the earth cracking echoing through the area and the ground shook slightly as the split in the earth spread out from calex and toward the people running at them from the building. he started forward, his feet moving over the cracks in the ground as he watched a merc get swallowed into the pit the spell had made before that particular part of it closed. "mortis sagittas!" he cast, his wand out before him as the arrows flew from the tip of his wand toward the enemy .. with the intention to stun of course .. they wanted some of them alive to question.

Marcia didn't like this idea of 'staying put', but she understood the need to go for help before they tried going any further with these plants. The basement was covered in them by this point and they had taken out all the guards that were down there. They had broken everyone out into the hallway and were now waiting for Braelynn's signal that help had come.

Well, it wasn't Bay that had given them the clue. It was the slue of aurors that burst into the basement. Marcia stood, "our wands, they have our wands," she said as the aurors moved forward, giving orders and directing the kids as to how they would get them out safely.

Marcia was relieved to see them, but couldn't show much emotion on her face. She had experienced a very... interesting time while in captivity. What with herself and her boyfriend being tortured and tossed into a room to probably die, she wasn't really up for much excitement at this point. Still, the thought of escaping was enough to get her pumped enough to follow instructions.

As soon as he apparated and Hermione gave the other aurors instructions he gave her a small smile.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure they get out of there." he told her and then ran off toward the house, a few aurors following him. They made their way thought the house, weaving in and out of hallways. There weren't very many people in the house, and Harry only had to take out two himself, but none of them were expecting that group of aurors so it was done without to much fuss.

They ignored the rooms, looking instead for the stairs. Neville had said that his plants were in the basement, so that was the best place to start. once inside they found the rest of the students, looking a little worse for wear. A girl told them that they had their wands, Harry motioned for an auror to go and find them. They shouldn't be too hard to find.

"If you can walk, follow these aurors out to the back of the house, if not stay where you are and I will get you out of here." His voice was strong and soft, he was here to help them, and that was what he was going to do.

As the students began to move Harry felt his legs weaken. No. Not now. he thought to himself, he really needed to go to st Mungo's and see if they could tell him what was wrong. It wasn't just tiredness, exhaustion or even stress. This was something different. He shook himself, now was not the time for that. Now was the time for action.

While looking at the Edge boy (and his clearly inhuman qualities) was certainly enthralling, doing so would have to wait for some other time. Harry motioned for one of their number to venture into the plant-ridden basement in search of the kidnapped students' wands. Winter ventured forward without question, uttering a quick, "Understood, Harry." to her boss.

Wand raised and swishing about, Winter strode quickly and confidently forward and down the dim hall, sending plant vines and roots and stems and flowers out of her path, and -more importantly, away from the walls. As they writhed out of her way, Winter's eyes scanned about, looking for doorways. She found one doorway that was already partially open, only to find the dead body of a mercenary and a puddle of wax within. A few small scraps of fabric, much akin to blood-stained denim lay in the far corner. These she picked up and pocketed for later examination.

Moving on down the hall, Winter passed a few empty cells, one with a bloody beam of wood and some chains, and finally a room that appeared appropriate for storage. She had to hold her nose at the now-rotting pile of corpses at the far end of the room, but her little venture was met with luck as the students' wands were there, mounted on the wall in a trophy-like array. Rolling her eyes, she quickly grabbed up every wand that she could find within the room (even those of the dead mercenaries) and ran back out as soon as she could.

The students' wands safely stored in her jacket, she nodded her success to Harry. She was about to rejoin the others when something about the way her boss appeared caused her to turn back and ask,

"Harry, are you feeling alright?" Winter gave him a concerned look-over before pulling the students' and mercenaries' wands from her jacket and quickly trying to distribute them to their rightful owners.

casey frowned as he looked up and saw he aurors file into the hallway the students were waiting in, he had a flower pot in hand, ready to throw just encase it was more mercs coming back for them and when he saw it was the aurors he almost dropped the pot. thankfully he didn't, lowering it to the ground he chewed his lip as he watched the and he took to leaning against the wall for a moment. he wasn't dreaming right? this was actually happened? he couldn't help but think this was some sort of trick, that he was really lying on the stone cold floor in a room with someone having a good old laugh at a scenario they were putting into his head, he wouldn't put it past them .. they had dragged each student off at one point or another .. he had one arm pulled up against his shoulder in a make shift sling, having had his shoulder broken on the day of the kidnapping .. by an over zealous kidnapper who hadn't been happy when he had blocked his path to mason with half of the roof of the hallway they had been in .. that exact person had paid casey another visit .. and he hadn't been any nicer. he chewed his lip as he heard harry's words. "If you can walk, follow these aurors out to the back of the house, if not stay where you are and I will get you out of here." he rested his head back against the wall for a moment, figuring it was just about safe enough to take a moment to breath through the agony that was his shoulder. he'd never had a broken shoulder before and he wasn't stupid enough to try and pass it off as not hurting .. he touched his good hand to the arm that was strung up and pushed himself away from the wall. "harry?" he asked, stepping forward and biting his lip as he noticed his best friends father seem to have a split second of weakness. "are y-you okay?" he asked as the woman who had hurried off before came back and asked him the same thing. casey wasn't leaving the basement till they had every student out, he was head boy, he was supposed to look out for his fellow students and that was exactly what he was going to do. he saw the wands getting handed back out and lifted his hand from his arm to grab his and frowned when he saw it had been snapped and was hanging by a thread .. probably the work of the man whose ego he'd bruised .. he'd need a new one but he couldn't worry about that now. they had to get out of here. he shoved the broken wand into his back pocket and looked at the other students who had been kidnapped, reaching out his good arm, he laid a hand on sophia's arm lightly. "do you need any help?"
