@dusti "It's not just my father though. How can I... How do I protect Rusti and River from both of them?" "What can we do..?" he knew he should have an answer in his head, he had been the one to talk to her about doing something but he didn't know. he was going to have to think of something quick. though he wasn't a quick thinker in these sorts of situations, in a fight, an argument or when something was happening he could think on his feet and act without the thoughts taking too much time, but here? right now with dusti before him he couldn't make the thoughts form quick enough. he didn't move as she matched the step he had taken toward her and he let one of the crutches he was leaning on go to wrap his arm around the back of her waist lightly. neither one of them were big on physical contact, but right now he'd make an exception. "we'll talk to my dad .. or my aunt .. or vic. one of them should he able to help" he said softly to her as he shifted his head slightly, leaning it down toward hers and tilting it slightly to look at her face as her head rested on his shoulder.

Why did she find his arm so..... comforting? No, Dusti knew why. She'd known why for a long time but never wanted to admit it. Because admitting it would change things. It would change her. It would change hers and Albus' relationship. He wouldn't be able to see him the same way if she admitted it. But now? Maybe it was finally time. To admit that she loved one of her closest friends. To admit that her feelings for him ran much deeper then their friendship. It was probably because of how open she was being with Albus, confessing things she'd never intended to tell him. It was a dam, that once open would not close easily.
Albus took longer then normal to respond, and when he did it wasn't exactly an answer. His dad. The famous Harry Potter. Maybe he could do something. She'd intentionally avoided Albus' parents to avoid her parents wrath all these years. He had a plethora of Aunts, so she wasn't sure who he meant, but Vic? It took her a moment to realize he meant Victoire. His cousin. The Minister of Magic. Dusti just nodded. She didn't want to talk to any of them, to be honest. Because it meant letting them in, trusting them. And Dusti wasn't a trusting individual.
Dusti didn't look at him from her current position, despite his slight shifting so he could look at her. She was on a different train of thought, well, more like back onto a previous train of thoughts. Specifically her feelings for him. She was trying to desperately to come up with the right words but nothing would come. So she'd let her actions speak for her. Dusti pulled away enough that she could look up at him. Al only had a few inches on her, so it wasn't hard. Serious hesitation followed, before she finally leaned forward again to... kiss him.
Yes. Dusti kissed Albus Potter.
It was brief, but that didn't change the fact that it happened. "I thought you should at least know that, too..." She muttered as she stepped away from him. Then left. Quickly, not even waiting to see how he might react or if he'd try to stop her.
