Royal gave Victoire his best Cheshire grin when she asked about them being in Paris to loosen up. That was precisely the point, and if she thought she was getting out of it, then she had something else coming to her. “If one of us is sober then there’s no point.” Royal whined. “Besides, we all know that you’d offer to be the designated Apparater and then I’d be drinking all on my own and then people would think I was weird or that you were pregnant or something.” Merlin forbid that anyone in Paris would think they were a couple and ran away to that conclusion. The tabloids would be merciless if they caught wind of it. “And it’s been proven that you can’t loosen up when sober. So yes, Victoire, you are grasping at straws.” Royal replied, rolling his eyes at her as he pulled her along through the Parisian streets. He was pretty sure he had seen a sign for a vineyard, but then again, since he didn’t speak French, maybe he had been wrong.

That grin was enough to cause Vic to give a little laugh and already feel one hundred times more relaxed than she had even expected to feel. Royal had that effect on her in the past, is wasn’t surprising that this was still there. At his whining she gave an eye roll, waiting until he finished speaking before throwing in her two cents again. ”Fine,” she said, promptly sticking out her tongue like a child, ”you’re right,” she chuckled. ”I can’t have people thinking I’m pregnant. That would be… an unfortunate rumor right now,” she shook her head. ”Okayyyy,” she agreed as he pulled her down. After a few moments she saw a vineyard and she pointed, ”that one! They have raspberry wine!” she said as she started to pull him toward it.
Soon they were inside and she straightened up, releasing him in order to look more posh, ”shall we test the choices?”

Royal’s smile widened when Victoire stuck out her tongue at him. It was a little childish, sure, but it was a lot fun, and they weren’t here to act like adults. Well, they kind of were, since you had to be an adult to drink, but he was willing to overlook some of the finer points. “Well, at least we know who the father would be.” Royal said with a smirk. He couldn’t help but rib Victoire about her relationship with Teddy. It had been a long time coming. The Slytherin allowed himself to be pulled towards the nearest vineyard, which apparently boasted raspberry wine. Royal was fine with a traditional white, but if Vic wanted raspberry wine, she would get raspberry wine. When they were inside, Royal followed Victoire’s lead, straightening up so he didn’t look as carefree. More formality was better for vineyards. He wished he had worn long sleeves to cover his scars and tattoo, but whatever. “Do you want to sample the raspberry wine?” He asked. “And then one of their whites?” One for her and one for him would do just fine.

At his comment about who the father of her imaginary baby would be, Vic turned to him with her jaw dropped and smacked him on the arm, "quiet you," she said, but she had that smile on her lips. They had done this before, no? Joked about her and her relationship with Teddy. She dated him for most of her time in school, after all. She chuckled at the thought, then shook her head. Yeah, she needed a drink.
"Sure!" she agreed. Then they went forth and started the sampling. Victoire actually ended up buying a bottle of their white wine, one that Royal seemed to have liked. "Now darling," she said, only slightly affected by the stuff. It was a sad reality, though, that Victoire was a lightweight. "Where shall we take our spoils of war?"

Royal was quite pleased with their decision to buy a bottle of white – it was definitely a wine that he could easily get drunk off of without any of the disgusting wine headache in the morning. He wasn’t anywhere near tipsy with the amount they had sampled, but Victoire was definitely not as into the whole drinking thing as he was. Then again, Royal wasn’t much into it, either, since his dad died. Maybe they’d actually be neck and neck for who could drink more. “Why not just go back into the attic we came in from?” Royal asked. It was a private enough place and it would make it easier to Apparate back home. He didn’t trust himself or Victoire to be able to find it when they were wasted. “And I feel like ‘spoils of war’ is giving us too much credit for our ability to purchase a bottle of wine in a place known for its wine.”

Vic smacked his arm yet again, "spoils of war is just fine. Well deserved because we're always at war," she pointed a finger right to the tip of his nose as they walked out. "The attic it is!" she announced, leading the way once again with a brisk walk. Even when having fun she was always businesslike, at least from getting one task to the next.
Once back at the building, she gestured up the stairs, "go ahead," she offered, holding up the bottle of wine. She realized they didn't have glasses... she wasn't really into drinking straight from the bottle, especially when sharing. She'd have to transfigure something upstairs.

They were always at war, Royal supposed, so he didn’t argue the point any further. He would really like it if, when they found out who was behind all of the mess of the past year, they were given free wine, but that didn’t seem likely, so Royal just pretended that this was their reward. He took quick steps to keep up with Vic’s quick pace, though he went ahead of her when it came to the stairs in the attic. Realizing they didn’t have glasses, Royal quickly transfigured some old scraps of paper into nice, big, glass wine glasses. “So, are we going to play drunken Truth or Dare? Because I haven’t done that for a while, and I think it would be fun!” And today was all about fun. Royal held out the wine glasses for Victoire to fill once she had popped the cork. Oh dear – he hoped they had a corkscrew.

Vic grinned at the large wine glasses that Royal transfigured. At his question she nodded, "ooh, that's a good idea! I mean, it's probably more fun with a bigger group with more options but whatever," she chuckled, using her wand and some fancy shmancy magic to pop the cork off the bottle and poured the wine into the glasses. Several glasses and some stupid truth or dare choices later, they were rather inebriated and Vic was laying back on the floor, pointing up at the ceiling. "Okay Roy, truth or dare?" she was making shapes in the ceiling with her imagination using her finger as a guide.

Royal didn’t think that drinking was much fun until the point where he actually got drunk; tipsy Royal was just normal Royal, but with a more nihilistic streak than usual, and that wasn’t what he needed. Drunk Royal, on the other hand, was a happy drunk, and he grinned soppily at Victoire as he took another sip of wine. He was almost out, but didn’t trust his hand-eye coordination enough anymore to pour another glass. “Dare!” He responded immediately. “Been doing too many truths. Gimmee something good, Vic.” This was likely going to be their last truth or dare before one of them inevitably passed out, so he was hoping that they could end with a bang.

Hmm.... a dare? Something good? She swayed a little, even though she was laying on the floor. "Okay... hmm..." she looked over at Royal, forming her hand differently to point at his face, "I dare you to kiss me," she said, her voice completely off sounding and her words slurred. She didn't like being this drunk, but it was easy to get carried away when you prepped yourself for no reasonability the next day. Plus, she was with her best friend, so that helped with the recklessness of it. She rolled over to sit up, her shoulder slamming against his as she landed into a sitting position right next to him. "Doooo iiiitttt," she dared, raising her eyebrows rapidly.

Oh. That was a good dare! Royal grinned at Victoire. When she and Teddy had broken up a few (okay, a lot, probably) people had assumed it was because of Royal, but nope, he had stayed out of that one! They were best friends, and best friends weren't supposed to kiss. But he could totally kiss Victoire now, because they were both drunk, and everyone knew drunk kisses didn't count. Royal was sitting near Vic's head, so it took some maneuvering to make it so their lips aligned. Actually kissing Victoire was the strangest thing, probably because he was drunk, and there was absolutely no finesse involved. After pulling away from the admittedly sloppy kiss, Royal grinned again. "I win." He proclaimed, though what exactly he had won was left to be debated. "Let's sleep now." And maybe it was the alcohol in his system, or perhaps the urge to forget what he had just done, but Royal was asleep before Vic could respond.
