@victoire the office had been a mad house the last few days. they were following leads here and there about what had happened at kings cross though a lot of them had figured what had happened. they hadn't been quick enough to be able to stop it. it had all happened so quickly according to people that were there. they had come in and gone out before anyone could do anything about it and had caused enough destruction that even the muggle world was talking about what had happened. it wasn't a good thing to mix the two together. he grabbed a folder off the desk, he'd been regulated to the office for the day after having been out in the field for the last few days, almost straight. almost everyone at the ministry was working double time and a half at the moment. he ran his hand through his hair and tucked the folder under his arm and got up. there were some papers here here needed vic to sign and while he could have sent them another way he decided to take them by hand and hope that she was in her office. he made his way to her office, surprised to see that the room before her office was empty but he seized the chance to knock once on the door. he knew her guard was around, but even in these times being a part of the law had it's perks. he knocked on her door once. "vic? you around?" he called through it, shifting the file in his arm and waiting for her to answer.

Vic was trying not to lose her mind, like every other day. The attack at Kings Cross had sent her into a frenzy, contacting every law enforcement department to increase recruitment and train harder. She hadn't wasted any time in preparing as best she could for something like that to happen again. Not too mention that she was about to fire Teddy, which was a hard thought. She loved having him around, of course she did, but that was the problem. If she was finally going to take that leap and be with him again then he couldn't work for her. So, she had decided that day at Kings Cross that she was going to fire him. She chuckled at the thought, trying not to think too hard about what it implied when she heard a voice at the door. "Hey, come in, Jake!" she recognized the voice and stood up from her desk, crossing around it in order to greet him when he walked in. "What brings you up here?"@jacob

@victoire "Hey, come in, Jake!" he grinned as he stepped through the door, touched that she'd gotten up from her desk to come greet him. it was hard to think he'd gone to school with the minister of magic, but he had and she was in front of him now. she still looked like the same old vic and in any place but the ministry she was. "What brings you up here?" he took the file out from under his arm. "your signature actually" he said. "not even you really" he teased her, the smile still on his face and that twinkle behind his eye that she would know all too well. "i'm surprised teddy or your uncle didn't stop me to pat me down before i got in" he said as he reached to put the file on her desk, for when the could sign it. when she'd signed it the paper was charmed to go where it needed to be.

She smiled as he brought out the file, "awe, yes. I've been wishing I'd practiced my signature more before this job," she joked. In all reality, she had oddly terrible hand writing for someone who was such a perfectionist. She was like a doctor when it came to trying to read what she was writing down. He placed the file on her desk and she chuckled at his words, "awe, yes. Well, Uncle Ron must have stepped out but... I actually fired Teddy," she said that last part softly, turning to slightly glance at the papers he had placed down. She lifted a hand to catch the corner, tilting it upward so she could see what was on it, but she wasn't really reading. "When do you need this signed by? i'd like to look over it quickly before signing it and handing it back."@jacob

@victoire "awe, yes. Well, Uncle Ron must have stepped out but... I actually fired Teddy," his eyes widened a little when she said she'd fired teddy. well that was something he couldn't say he saw coming. even with all the drama in his friends pasts, he still hadn't thought vic would fire him. "like .. for good?" he asked, just wanting to clarify. it was a curious thing really. "When do you need this signed by? i'd like to look over it quickly before signing it and handing it back." he held his hands up and took a step back from the paperwork and chuckled. "oh i don't need it back. just sign it and send it back to harry. my hands burn when i touch paperwork" he said with a laugh. it was one of the tedious parts of the job but it did have to be done unfortunately.

Vic cleared her throat as Jacob asked if firing Teddy was for good and she nodded, a smile appearing on her lips, "it was for a good reason," her and Teddy had just kissed the day before and therefore Vic told him she didn't think it would be appropriate for him to work for her anymore. She chuckled as he made the joke about the paperwork and placed it on her desk. "I'll do that. It's a shame you have that burning hands syndrome, not really conducive to a good work environment," she smiled, raising an eyebrow at him.

@victoire "I'll do that. It's a shame you have that burning hands syndrome, not really conducive to a good work environment," he grinned and rolled his eyes slightly, folding his arms loose over his chest as he stood in a relaxed stance. "i do the paperwork. i just never want it back" he said. everyone knew jake wasn't the type for paperwork, his reports were often the bare minimum of what had happened and he often left them till the last minute. it was a flaw he had but everyone had some, no one could fault him in his dedication to the job though. "so .. you and teddy hey?" he raised a brow and smiled. it was about time in his opinion.

VIc nodded, chuckling, "Fine with me," then the brought up Teddy again, big surprise, and she smirked, "yeah, yeah I think so," she said, wishing that she could stop grinning like an idiot. "And what of your love life?" she raised an eyebrow at him and gestured to the seat across from her, inviting him to sit. If he wanted to they could talk for a bit longer, but they both were busy people so she'd understand if he was unable to, of course.

@victoire "yeah, yeah I think so," jake laughed a little and clapped his hands a few times. they had been waiting for it, their little group of friends. they all knew that teddy and vic belonged together but the two of them were that stubborn that all they could do is sit back and wait for it to happen. which it had apparently. "And what of your love life?" he chuckled and sat down into the chair with a sigh, debating on whether to tell her. "well .. there is someone. but it's still new so" he said with a smile as he leaned his elbow on his knee and rested his chin on his hand.

Vic nodded at his answer and shrugged, "well, if it's new then you should keep it sacred," she said with a firm look. She leaned forward, "I know it's hard. Trust me, I know," she chuckled, "but Jake, any girl would be lucky to have you.; I bet that she's thinking that right now," she grinned. She was curious as to who it was but... she didn't want to get pushy. Especially with something new and especially if Jake was happy.
