Penelope is on the thin and wiry side, built more like a twig then a normal human being. She's already 5'6, and hasn't shown signs of being done growing yet. Little devil, that's what Penelope's parents have (endearingly) come to call their second youngest daughter. Why? Well, you'll usually find out in about five minutes of knowing her. This girl has a knack for trouble that is so intense and powerful, it's practically terrifying. If trouble doesn't find her, she goes to find it, or she makes it. The more chaos there is, the more comfortable Penelope seems to be, and if she's the root of the problem? All the better! Basically if anything goes wrong in the Bainbridge house, there is never any question in anyone's mind who is behind it. Trouble should have been her middle name.
Penelope, to most people's surprise, is actually an absolutely brilliant girl. Her parents have been trying to measure her IQ for years, but they've never been able to get her to play along long enough to get an accurate answer. Usually she won't participate, or will figure out what their up to and give up half way in. Basically she has perfect photographic memory, able to recall endless amounts of information with ease. But it isn't just her photographic memory that makes her smart. She has a very sharp mind, and her level of understanding is far beyond that of your average 14-year-old. She's meticulous ad methodical. Basically where you are planning five moves ahead, she's all the way to check mate, with several routes of how to get there. Playing strategy games with her is, understandably, a very bad idea.
Unfortunately, she doesn't give a crap about school or learning. She basically 'wastes' her brilliant mind. Her grades don't show how smart she actually is in any regard, and she spends more time getting detention then actual praise from her teachers. School just doesn't interest her at all, nor does homework, reading.... Basically people would probably laugh if you told them she was a genius. There is one thing that gives her away though, and that is her mischievous acts. Her schemes, plots, and pranks have grown increasingly more elaborate and complex with each year. At least we know that she isn't totally wasting that brilliant mind of hers....
A sarcastic brat, she's more likely to come back with some quick and rude comeback then anything else. Those close to her, like friends and family, see the most of her sarcastic nature. She speaks sarcasm better then anything else. And she avoids answering questions like the plague. If you ask her anything, she's likely to come back with another question, or some sarcastic statement about your question, never truly answer. You'll rarely get a straight answer from her, and she'll usually twist it back on you somehow.
For all her flaws though, Penelope is a loyal and protective person. She'll do anything for someone she cares for. And when she puts her mind to something, she has the determination to succeed at just about anything. She is a free spirit, who doesn't want to conform to anyone's rules, or try to fit in any sort of mold.

Penelope is the second youngest of the Bainbridge clan, and the middle child of the triplets. From the time she was crawling, it was obvious that they had a clever, but rambunctious child on their hands. She was nothing like her sisters. She had a knack for mischief, and had a nasty habit of figuring out how things worked far to easily. Basically her parents were constantly 'Penelope proofing' the house, and said proofing was usually redone each week because she would figure out a way around it. Well, at least her parents were never bored! (how could you be with seven children though?)
Her oldest, and only brother, Dustin was the first to go to Hogwarts. A year later, and it was the twins turn. Then, two years after that, the middle child's. And then... fnally it was the triplet's. That first night all three of them were sorted into Hufflepuff house. Penelope's sisters were quite pleased with this, though Penelope felt a pang of disappointment. The hat had stalled on her the longest out of the girls, taking almost four minutes to finally decide what house she would best fit. It knew immediately that she was brilliant, but she didn't have the drive to use her mind, which is why it didn't choose Ravenclaw. Gryffindor would have been a good option. She was definitely reckless enough to be one. But in he end it opted for Hufflepuff, deciding that, while reckless, her behavior showed a level of devotion, and loyalty that suited the house.
The first two years proved that she was a troublemaker, plain and simple. Actually, it took about a week for her teachers to learn that. And to learn that she was going to be a handful. On average, she had detention at least 2-3 times a week. Her third year saw little to no change in her behavior. If anything, there was an increase. As students were murdered, Penelope acted out even more. Because if she didn't, she'd think about everything going on. She'd dwell on the terror, and fear, and she didn't think she'd be able to escape that. So, she kept busy. She didn't let herself think about it. At least until the kidnapping. Penelope got caught in the Great Hall during the kidnapping, and thankfully one of the teaches spotted her and pushed her under one of the long tables, and out of sight. The girl was understandably shaken, and since then has just been trying to feel.. normal again.
