Would you believe it? I'm in Brazil! Andy, I want to bring you here sometime, because I don't know if I have ever been anywhere so amazing! The people are so kind and the buildings are beautiful. Well that was just in Brazilia, the capitol. That is where their wizarding government is centered. We took a portkey there. Anyway, we had to ride in muggle cars out to the forest so as to not attract attention. But once we got to the forest, everything went crazy. Wizards popped out of the bushes (one leaf was big enough to hide Carson, no joke.) and started escorting us to the school. They told me it looks like an old Myan pyramid to the muggles (or No-Maj's, a thing they got from America.) And to be honest, it kinda looked like a myan pyramid to me too, just new and not crumbling or falling apart.

Their welcome feast.. now it hurts me to say this, but I'm going to say it anyway, puts Hogwarts to shame! They really pulled out all the stops. There were place settings for each person and the different kinds of food were all within arms reach. I steered clear of the bugs. There were at least 3 platters full of different kinds of bugs.

How was the first day of school? Lots of first years? Any big news? May I miss you so much right now, well ever since I said good by to you yesterday... Know what is weird... I lost 4 hours... you are now 4 hours ahead of me. You wake up before me, you go to school, you even get to finish your homework before me. It is like we are time traveling!

I miss you so much I can't even breathe sometimes. Hey! I'm glad you like things there so much! I bet that there are some incredible plants, right? Maybe you should bring me one sometime! I mean, when you come back! Speaking of plants, you are totally busted! The opening feast started and I looked down at my plate only to find some weird purple plants saying 'I love you to the moon and back'. Could you be any more adorable!? Come on, that's not even fair. That better be the last one mister.

I'm glad the feast there was awesome! Ours was good too... I don't know if you heard, but we're having the Tri-Wizard tournament here this year. Durmstrang and Beauxbatons kids came during the feast, it was cool. I missed you though, I miss you. And yeah, there were a lot of first years. Not as many as our year, but still. Only a few in Gryffindor, though, they look like nice kids. I sat with Anna at the feast, she's doing good. I'm doing good.

I'm sorry, I just started playing that record you sent me. That's even less fair than the flower message. You're just plain cruel. In the best kind of way.

Time travel, hah, I guess it is a bit like that? I guess since it's midnight for me right now it's... four a.m. for you. I hope you're sleeping well. Tell me all about your classes and I'll tell you all about this tournament. Seventeen year olds can enter, but I don't think I'm going to. I bet you would have, though, but I can't say I'm not relieved you can't in a way- hah! Not to be rude. I just worry about you. I'm worrying about you now.

I can think of only one thing that could make this school better would be if you were here.
I went to my classes and they do things way different here, they had us go out into the forest to catch some creatures and then bring them back, you only got credit if neither you nor the creature got hurt and if you got the right one. But they only give us a riddle to figure it out. Plus the riddle is in spanish...

THE TRI-WIZARD TOURNAMENT?!?!? Are you kidding me! I would have... I don't know what I would have done if I had known. When is the first task?Yule Ball? Second task? Third task? Seriously, the one time I do something crazy I miss the Tri-Wizard tournament!this is stupid, I'm coming home right now and entering my name in there and then I am going to become famous by winning and start my own herbalist's shop and people will flock from all corners of the world to buy plants from me! Okay, that might be not a completely sound idea. But seriously! I bet my dad knew... oh he did and he didn't tell me!!!! and here I thought he cared about me....

Anyway... I miss you, way more than I can write. Way more than I let my roommates know, and they all think I am crazy cause I only talk about you and the plants. Plus they don't understand much English so that probably helps too.

This year is going to be intense, but I wish you were here. I don't think I'll be entering the tournament... unless you think I should? I don't know, I'm not much of a dueler... don't be sad that you can't enter! Haha, you're so funny. They'll still be here when you get here so you can watch. The Yule Ball is like... a week before Christmas break. You won't be home til after that. But that's okay Don't worry about me I'll just go with some girls or something.

That's crazy that you went into the forest during class. Was it a rainforest? Was it really.. moist? I don't know how else to say that hahahhahaa. I'm making a fool of myself, okay.

The first task is in October... not sure when the others are. I haven't been paying much attention, sorry! I'll pay better attention so I can keep you updated.

I miss you too. I'm glad that you talk about me. I bet my roommates are sick of me talking about you too... not that I really talk that much. But when I do it's usually about some blonde haired blue eyed angel I know somewhere far away. :-P

If you don't want to enter the tournament, that I say don't do it. We all know you would win if you did and that would be unfair to the other schools, give them a chance! I am sure this year won't be as crazy as you think. December will be here before we know it and I'll be home and you'll be home and we can sneak out to the greenhouse and fertilize all the plants I will bring back from Brazil. What? Did you think I was going to say we should do something else when we snuck out to the greenhouse? Andy! What would your mother say! Oh I know, she would say "You two should just be friend until you move out." You know... technically we spend more time living at Hogwarts than at home, so one could say we are already moved out.... I'm rambling. Cause I miss you.

Every class is like that forest one! We are doing things all the time and we don't even know what we are doing half the time. And the forest was moist, and it rained most of the time. Luckily I perfected that umbrella spell last year, it has come in handy nearly every day! It rains a lot here. Oh and remember when I said everything was in Spanish? I have been corrected. Everything is taught in Portuguese. Which is basically Spanish except prettier (say the Brazilians who speak it).

Fun Fact: I love you more than plants.

Another Fun Fact: Caipora are WAY more mischievous than Peeves. Those things nearly had all of my socks and were going to put them on the statues all around the castle! I think they pick on me cause I'm not Brazilian. It is pretty obvious I'm not. Everyone else has this gorgeous silky hair with brown caramel skin and then I show up and people have to put on sunglasses cause the sun bounces off my white skin and blonde hair blinding the entire room. Does that count as magic?

I am glad you are fine. But you should find something to make you happy too. You should be getting something soon to help with that... Until then, I will worry and fret every moment I am not trying to find my socks or decipher Portuguese, and not a moment more (but only because you don't want me to worry too much.)

Your letters have me grumbling to myself like a crazy person. I just can't handle how sweet you are, I don't deserve it. You are my light in the dark.

Wow, that was a pretty morbid-slash-poetic statement, wasn't it? Maybe I should start writing dramatic poems for you. What do you think? Hah!

You're nice. I would not win that tournament and I am one hundred percent okay with that. I won't be entering, so you won't have to worry about me for the first task or two... I think you might be back in time for the second and third, or maybe just the third, I'm actually not sure. Ugh, don't say the word December. It reminds me of how much I love you and then I can't focus. I say I love you too much, don't I? I just really miss you. I really love you too. Gah, I said it again. Just ignore that.

Sneaking out to the Greenhouse with you sounds perfect, just like old times! Don't bring back too many plants though honey I'm not sure that we have room for them all. WEll, unless we planted them at the manor? And your parents. Obviously. Or maybe you could buy a place when you come back in December to plant them, since you we'll be graduating anyway?

Wow, I haven't thought about where I would live when the school year ends... I'm sure your parents would keep me for as long as needed, right? Wow, not I'm rambling.

I'm glad your classes are cool! They are normal here. The new Divination teacher is 'a total babe' according to every girl in class, so that's... new? I don't know why I took that class, it just freaks me out. I'd hate to be able to see the future.

So how are you dealing with the Portuguese, then?

You literally just made me laugh out loud with your white problems! I think it counts more as a superpower than magic, though. Good luck with that. At least the pretty girls won't be checking you out. That's a bonus for me.

I do have things that make me happy... that new violin and... you know, there's stuff. Thank you for trying not to worry. And about those socks... I may have charmed them to bring you back to me, which is why they're running away! (I didn't actually which now ranks #1 as the biggest regret of my life.)

Well, I love you. Do you know good it feels to write that down? I am sure you do. Since you keep writing it down too. You are going to have to tell me all about the first task. I want to know all about it. Every detail! And you know the last month of the year will be here before you know it and then we will see each other and it won't hurt anymore.

Is there going to be a Yule Ball? Has anyone asked you yet? They should, you are gorgeous and wonderful and smart. But I don't want anyone to ask you at the same time. I want to ask you.... I wish I could.

Anyway, Greenhouse. Buy my own place? I have never thought of that before. I haven't really considered what is going to happen after we graduate. What are you going to do? Because I want to be close to you. I wish I was close to you now. Maybe I'll find some herbologist to study with in London. I am sure my dad would have room to fit at least 20 new plants. Also I was thinking that maybe I could study some medicinal herbology... maybe we could be partners! That could be fun.

Divination teacher? I don't know how I feel about this hott teacher. Seeing the future is so strange, because every choice we make is constantly changing what will happen in the future. Besides, I would rather make my own future than have someone else tell me what was going to happen.

Of course I read your half letter. I check the book at least twice a day. I hope whatever it is that had you distracted was a good thing.

Now I have to apologize for taking so long! We went on a week long wilderness excursion, but we couldn't bring anything except our wands and they woke us up in the middle of the night to go. I would have grabbed the book if I could have! I'm sorry, love! Don't worry, it won't happen again.

I look forward to reading "The First Task. As told by Andromeda Lestrange." that will be epic.

Maybe I should tell someone to ask you, I don't want you to go alone! Especially not if you have a fabulous dress. (which I really want to see when I get home. I'll have to think of some way to get you to wear it....)

After school is not that far away, I am realizing. You know I have almost been here a month? The time just keeps going. Some days are slower than others, but all the days I wish you were here. Well, I was thinking of things you would be good at. I mean you could do anything you set your mind to. Did you know muggles have this thing called a music therapist? They help people work through their problems with music. You could do something like that easily! People would just listen to you play and then be like "What was I upset about?? Oh yeah, that was stupid, cause nothing really matters after hearing that beautiful young woman play that entrancing music." Or maybe you could just be a performer, it would have the same effect on a larger number of people! So then you would sooth their souls with music and I would sooth their ailments with plants! PARTNERS!

Since we are stuck together, I just have to tell you that I wouldn't want to be stuck with anyone but you.

Well you should play more, I know how much you love it. Your friends might like to hear you play as well, you could just give them a mini concert.

I am glad you are alright. I hope your friends are filling all of your time.

Sometimes I worry about what you don't tell me, but I figure you always have a good reason for it. And I trust you to let me know if anything was going wrong. Man I miss you.

I think all these brazillian students just tune out when I start to talk about you. I start to say something like "One time my girlfriend, Andy and I were camping--" and their eyes glaze over and I can almost see them going through their notes in their head, anything to drown out my stories of you. Why anyone would want to hear about you is beyond me. Maybe because you are one of two things I ever talk about. 1. Andy. 2. Plants. But now that I think about it, no one tunes me out when I start talking about Herbology... hmmmm.

Do you know who the champions are yet? Ranger said he put his name in, I want him to get it and not at the same time. I would rather know that all the people I love are safe back home. Thank goodness Jay can't submit his name! And as cool as it would be to date the girl who won the Triwizard tournament, I am glad you didn't put your name in.

They probably aren't in very good shape. Also, what is the big scratched out piece? Something about a mistake? What sort of mistake? Man, it is so hard to be so far away from you. I am excited to hear more about the championship. Actually word just got here about it and the whole school is talking like it is the biggest thing in the wizarding world. I have become something of a celebrity, everyone is asking me for details about it. As if I haven't been here the whole time it has been going on. So... yeah, anything you can tell me would be great.

So how is orchestra? Still going great? You still whipping them into shape or are they all whipped? I miss hearing you play. Sometimes I imagine you playing before I go to bed. I am excited to hear you play in 8 weeks and 2 days.
