It was the third week of September on a Saturday night.
Students had snuck out of the school before, though it rarely had been easy. Having access to brooms, thestrals and apparation made it a little more simple- but Andy liked to do things the simple way. Long story short, she walked out of the grounds. Once she made it to Hogsmeade she apparated, right outside her brothers home. She didn't recall making the decision to come here, to even do this, but here she was.
What would she do next?
She rolled her neck in a circle around her shoulders, finding the cracking that came from the motion comforting. Something had come over her, something that seemed to come from a deep rooted place in her soul and arrived slowly, like lava, burning everything in it's path. Burning it's way through her insides, through her inhibitions, her humanity, her common sense until it brought her here.
She stepped up to the door, expecting some kind of protection and found her way around whatever it was until she was inside. As she walked through, she ran her fingertips along the things beside her. The bookshelves, the mantelpiece, the back of the couch... she felt a strange smile grow on her face, one she'd never had before.
Soon enough she was standing over him, sleeping soundly in his bed. Unless he was faking it. Either way, he didn't move quickly enough to stop her from wrapping him in the body bind spell and flattening one knee on his chest, her other foot still on the floor, her non wand hand holding a knife to his throat. Where had she gotten the knife? She couldn't remember. It just felt right to have it in her hand.
"Sleep well?" she asked, her voice low, the insanity of the place it was coming from clear in her tone.
@nikolaj (let me know if this is okay <3 i was vague about details that i'm not sure how to explain XD)

@lestrange well this was an interesting turn of events. the last person he'd been expecting to creep into his room had been his little sister. granted she was more like their father than any three of the lestrange children. he'd laid still, wondering what she would do, how this would play out. his wand was sitting on the bedside table, though he didn't really need it. he had long since been taught to use magic without his wand, his father's stern influence and lessons making it hard to fail. he felt the effects of the body bind but he didn't try and fight it, wanting to let her think she had caught him off guard. he knew his little sister, she might hurt him, try and taunt him like he would her but he doubted she'd go far enough as to kill him. not this time anyway. "Sleep well?" he opened his eyes and stared up at her. he kept his face straight, though he knew she'd know he didn't panic. panic wasn't a word the lestranges were taught, keeping their heads level in all situations was paramount. "till now it was pretty good" he smirked slightly as he looked up at her. "well .. didn't we grow some courage over the holidays"

Andy wasn't surprised that he was so calm, they had always been taught to be such. Plus, he was probably expecting this, which made Andy feel sick to her stomach. She held her ground, though, her eyes narrowed and her jaw clenched as he called her out on her 'courage'. She felt like this was the exact opposite, but she didn't say that. "Yeah, guess I did," she growled. "Stay put," she ordered, even though he had a body binding spell on him. "Windgardium Leviosa," she cast, backing up in order to lift him from the bed and move him to a chair instead. She allowed the body binding spell to release just enough to bend him into the chair, then she caused ropes to wrap around his wrists, ankles, and anywhere else she thought might be useful, and she made sure they were extra tight. "Wouldn't want to get blood on your nice blankets," she mused, walking to stand in front of him, "now, where to start. Nik, I'm sorry that you have to die like this," she felt more confident now as she lifted her chin in such a way that it was almost identical to how her mother would have done it, "anything you want to say first?"

@lestrange "Wouldn't want to get blood on your nice blankets," he smirked at her as she said that, having stayed where he was while she had made the binds tighten around his arms and legs and secured him to the chair. he wasn't afraid of his sister, there was no way he ever could be. "now, where to start. Nik, I'm sorry that you have to die like this," he snorted a laugh when she said that and let his head drop back for a moment as the loud laughter ripped from his chest and through the apartment. he knew that would anger her, being laughed at and not taken seriously. that would be the undoing of her plan, she had never been able to handle being taunted well. it frazzled her, made her angry and when people got angry they stopped thinking clearly. "anything you want to say first?" he lifted his head to look at her and managed to stop himself from laughing and he raised a brow at her. "you're kidding right?" he said, the dangerous smirk he had adopted over the years falling onto his face now as his gaze settled on his sister. "oh andy .. do you really think you have what it takes to kill me? little andy .. you have so much you need to learn." he said with a slught tsk at the end, almost chiding her.

His laugh made her blood burn even more, and her white hot hate for him just clouded her thoughts even more aggressively. The sound echoed, and normally she would have been scared of such a noise but she wasn't normal. Her brain was wired differently right now. In fact, it was barely functioning at all. He lifted his head to her and raised an eyebrow, which made her skin tingle. Kidding? Why would she be kidding? Andy wasn't really capable of kidding effectively, never had been.
His next words pulled her forward until she was right in front of him. She bent down, slowly, then placed her hands on either of his wrists, leaning down so her face was only inches from his. "We're more alike then you think, Nikolaj. I can kill you," she leaned back again to point her wand at him "Sectumsempra," she cast. Generally she thought that spell should have been kept a secret but it had gotten out, Elaine had used it, it was now well known especially to Death Eater families because Severus Snape had used it.
She didn't smile, she didn't show any emotions as the slashes cut across him, only two of them across his chest. She leaned forward again, lifting a hand and using her pointer and middle finger to jab into one of the cuts. "I'm not going to make it easy for you, though. But teach me, Nik. If you were to kill someone slowly, how would you do it?" her voice was dull and flat, her eyes matching.

@lestrange "We're more alike then you think, Nikolaj. I can kill you," he smirked slightly as she leaned down closer to him and if he could have shaken his head he would have. "oh i know we aren't different andy .. we're almost the same" he said as she stepped back. he waited for the second, it felt like a lot longer that it was till she cast the spell and as soon as she did white hot pain spread across his chest. he couldn't help the noise that came out of his mouth but it wasn't a scream, not a groan more of a moan that one would probably be confused with a noise of pleasure. pain wasn't something that bothered him. he had grown up accustom to it, enduring it and suffering through it till he had been taught not to show he was feeling it. she took it past this though, her fingers digging into the cuts and his eyes settled on her face, a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his face from the stress the pain was putting on his body. still he didn't make a sound of pain, though his teeth gritted slightly as she moved her fingers inside him. "I'm not going to make it easy for you, though. But teach me, Nik. If you were to kill someone slowly, how would you do it?" he coughed out a small laugh and his eyes met her dull ones. "not m-make them bleed for a start .. you just c-cut the suffering time in half"

That smirk just made her want to slap him across the face. But she didn't, not yet at least. He spoke about how he knew they weren't different. But how they were almost the same and she cringed. She knew that was true, but she didn't want him to say it.
The sound that came from him when the spell made contact made her wince. It wasn't the sound she wanted, but it was pretty much what she expected. The sweat on his face when she dug her fingers into the cut, though, was satisfactory. At least a little. But she still wasn't filled. He cough, and that horrible laugh came out and she let out a breath as he made eye contact with her. Not that she was feeling any real sense of contact.
At his words, his stupid words of bad advice, she pulled her fingers back and finally did smack him across the face, his own blood getting on his cheek. She leaned in, placing both hands on his shoulders, her face only inches from him. "Fine. Die quickly then. It's all the same if you're gone," she spit in his face right before lifting her knee in one swift motion to knee him in the stomach. She took a step back. "You know, killing you without magic might be better. Maybe that way you'll feel like you died dishonorably," not that he gave a darn about honor.
She used her wand to summon a knife, but then pocketed it. "Now, I'd like to leave a little message," she reached leaned forward to place one hand on his wrist, her other hand holding the knife over his arm. She looked back up at his face, "so, what should I write?"

@lestrange "Fine. Die quickly then. It's all the same if you're gone," his cheek was still stinging from the slap she had given him and he didn't flinch when she spat in his face. if she wanted to get to him she was going to need to do better than cover him in bodily fluids. "oh andy .. when i'm gone. who will you blame for your horrible life?" he raised a brow slightly. she blamed him for a lot, that was clear though he doubted she'd even be able to remember most of it at the moment, she was acting so out of character and he loved it. "you need someone to blame .. it's never your fault .. is it?" he said as she moved her face closer to his, his dark eyes meeting her own though there didn't seem to be much between them. he coughed when she knee'd him in the stomach, the air from his lungs forced out of his mouth and he took a moment to catch his breath before he answered her. "You know, killing you without magic might be better. Maybe that way you'll feel like you died dishonorably," he coughed out a laugh and looked at her. "dishonorably? you know nothing about honor andy .. so how do you know about dishonor?" he raised his eyebrow again as she summoned a knife over to them. "Now, I'd like to leave a little message," he smirked a little and he looked up at her, nodding his head slightly. "so, what should I write?" he laughed. he could feel the blood that was running from the wound in his chest, hear it dripping onto the wooden floor below them and he was starting to feel the effects of the blood loss but he still laughed. "h-how about ... 'to phil .. i was the girl you used to know .. love andy' .. let him know just how far you've come .. "

Andy didn't comment on his 'horrible life' words. She had a good life... didn't she? She had a family who loved her. For a moment, she wanted that for him too. Why didn't he just change and come be with them? No more darkness, or killing or... but she knew that could never happen. At least not because of anything she'd say. No, he'd be better off dead anyway.
"I'm not saying none of this isn't my fault, Nik," she knew it was her fault. Somewhere in the back of her brain behind all the dark clouds, she knew. THen he talked about honor, and how she'd know nothign about that. She scoffed, not bothering to retort to that either. He was talking too much for her liking. She'd soon remedy that.
v At those words, Andy completely froze, her eyes darting back to his face, all emotion still void from her eyes. That name... Phil... she knew that name. She blinked, then took a step back, knife still in hand. "Don't. Say. That. Name." Then she took a step forward again and lifted her elbow swiftly to knock Nik in the chin as hard as she could. Next, she brought her hand to his wound again and just pressed against his chest, leaning toward him with her hand while she brought her knife up toward his face. She wanted to mangle it. But, she wanted him to be recognizable. She wanted people to know who he was and that he deserved what he got. So, she moved the knife away from his face and instead stabbed him in the shoulder. She leaned in even more as she twisted the knife counter clockwise, "say it again and I promise I'll cut that smile right off your face," if she knew anything about muggle pop culture, the idea was that she would make him look like the Joker in Batman The Dark Knight. She left the knife in his shoulder and lifted her hand to grab the sides of his mouth, squeezing tightly. This was a bit of a comedic look, the fishy face type thing, but she wasn't being gentle. "Now tell me how you want to die," she said firmly before shoving his face away.
@nikolaj (I know, I know I could do more evil things but I don't want to completely mangle him XD he's too pretty)

@lestrange "Don't. Say. That. Name." as she stepped forward to slam her elbow into his chin he couldn't help but let his head snap back and he laughed. a horrible loud laugh that he knew would make her blood boil. she should know by now, this would be nothing to him. did she really think she'd break him and make him suffer like this? she didn't know him all that well did she. granted she had him in the bind and he wasn't all that keen on escaping, he was weak he knew that thanks to the wound she had already inflicted on him but he knew his taunting would get to her. "phil? oh i'm s-sorry .. you call him philip d-don't you" he didn't give the knife she waved in his face a thought, his dark brown eyes trained on hers as he stared into them when he could. he was proud of what he saw there, a ruthless monster. someone their father and aunt would be proud of. the stab to his shoulder was white hot, his body did recoil slightly as the knife went in but that was human nature, flinch away from something that hurt that much but he did his best to keep his laughter up as she pressed her hands against the knife. "say it again and I promise I'll cut that smile right off your face," he smirked a little as he flicked his head slightly, his hair clinging to his forehead slightly and he looked her right in the eyes. "i'm sure phil would be so proud of you ..g-go on andy. do it" he taunted her, wanting to push her as far as he could. she squeezed his cheek and he snapped his mouth at her, trying to catch her fingers between his teeth. "Now tell me how you want to die," he let his eyes roll to her face, raising a brow. "quicker than this"
[hehe addie won't be too happy if she damages his pretty face]

He kept laughing, and that just made her blood run hotter. He knew what he was doing, and yet she was completely taking the bait. He said the name again, taunting her even more by using his full name. Phillip. Her fist clenched around the knife and she started to shake even more. She saw that look in his eyes, though. That strange sort of... pride that was pouring from them. Then he said it again. That was the last straw. She pulled her hand back quickly as he snapped at her fingers, growling under her breath. He said he wanted to die quicker? Fine. Maybe he just shouldn't die at all.
"Maybe it's not your time yet," she mused, reaching to pull the knife out of his shoulder again. "But I promise if you even so much as look at him, I'll make sure you suffer for the rest of your life but never die. I'll make sure you're in a living hell, Nikolaj. Just like I am," she thrust the knife forward and stabbed him one more time, the knife slipping between his ribs and into whatever vital organs were hiding there. She took a step back to admire her work, cocking her head to the side as she looked at the blood and sweat that she'd forced out of him. And yet, it didn't matter, because his wicked grin and taunting eyes were still there.
"Anything else to say before I leave you? I promise, I've heard it all already, but I'll give you a moment if you'd like."

@lestrange "Anything else to say before I leave you? I promise, I've heard it all already, but I'll give you a moment if you'd like." well he had been right. she couldn't kill him. whether it was because she had more plans for him or she just didn't have the guts to go through with it, he had hope for her. guts could be taught. hate could be taught, it was all part of a process. "stay cold andy." he said as he coughed, the taste of blood leaking into his mouth. "it suits you."

'Stay cold, Andy. It suits you.' He always knew just what to say. Andy didn't say anything else, but simply nodded and turned to walk out the door. Her eyes were still dead and her hands covered in blood for at least a mile of walking before she starting to come to. Her eyes blinked rapidly and suddenly all the air came rushing back into her lungs, so much so that she thought she was going to explode. She gasped and stumbled back, slamming against a wall beside her as she tried to catch her breath. She looked down at he hands, slowly lifting them to eye level.
What had she done?
