“You are right, we were very lucky that they showed up.“ Rob owed so much to Harry and Ron. Especially his life, they saved him and John but then they were able to get him to the one person who kept him alive and fighting to continue to live as the healers worked on him. ”But why was my being there so important to you? We had barely spoken since graduation, and we’ve been so busy with work and school since then. I barely gave you the time of day when we were in school, not until the end when it was too late.” It was true, she had never given him the time of day before the end of their time at Hogwarts. He had enjoyed that time with her and was glad to be with her once more. But what really made him think was the question that she had just asked him. It was a simple question with a not so easy answer. “Well…” Rob paused thinking of how to best answer the question. “From the first time that I saw you, I knew that we would end up together. I can’t really explain it.” It was true he had no clue how he knew at that time that they were meant for each other. “And it is simple as to why it was so important to me that you were there.” Rob looked down for a second, before looking back up into the eyes that captivated him. “Because if you hadn’t been there for me when I need you the most I probably would have given up and succumbed to death. But the moment I saw you I knew that if I kept on fighting that I we would have another chance, to be together. And well here we are.” He smiled at her.
”If anything you found me, Rob, you and Rachel. You saved me from the path I was going on....” Rob knew that this was true. For Constance had been with the wrong crowd, many of them he had helped catch and put in prison, since becoming an auror. And he was glad that they had found her and became her friends. “I guess we have a habit of saving each other. Don’t we?” He teased, but then yet again it seemed that they were always there for one another when they needed it the most. It was becoming a habit for them. And it just boosted his feelings even more, and he knew in his heart that maybe one day he would have the opportunity to marry the beautiful witch that was in his arms. But they would just have to take it one step at a time, there was no need to rush things, or was there?
“We will give this a fair chance.” He promised as he noted the pleading tone of Constance’s voice as she questioned him. “However there is one thing that I want to say." Rob had finally built his confidence up enough to tell her the one thing that had been on his mind the whole time that they had been here. He let a grin form on his face as Constance put on of her hands on his neck and the other was in his hair. “I love you Constance.” He said before he pulled her close to him and kissed her. Man that was something he had been resisting to do since they had run into each other earlier in the ministry. He tried to convey just how much he loved her in that kiss and the embrace that they were in as they did so. After just a few seconds Rob broke the kiss, and then said again. “I love you.” Sure it was early on in a relationship to say that they loved each other, but they had been together before, and had practically gone through so much together. I didn’t matter to him if she told him that she loved him, but he just wanted her to know that he loved her, no matter what happened. And there was nothing that would change how he felt. Constance didn’t even have to say anything, because he already knew that she loved him. Really though who would tell someone that they would never leave them, or that if you die, I die. It just showed that they were meant to be together.

”You mean the moment you saw me sitting under that sorting hat?” she joked. It was hard to imagine him suddenly knowing that he loved her, especially as an eleven year old, but she could understand what he was saying. She only noticed him because they were sorted into the same house the same year. Now that she looked back, however, she could see how kind he was to her through the years. How he had been such a great team member, and treated her with so much respect, even on the field. Little glimpses of moments where he had carried her books, opened the door and saved her in class started playing through her mind. How had she ignored him all that time? Especially when he had treated her like gold since day one, that much was becoming clear to her now.
Constance felt a rock in her throat when Rob described how he wouldn’t have made it without her. ”So, you chose to live... for me?” She felt her heart beating in her throat even stronger as she said the thought out loud. ”Then, I mean no offense, but why didn’t you say something? Why didn’t you say anything sooner? Why didn’t I...” she couldn’t help but smile a little as she saw the smile play onto his own lips. She felt her cheeks warming up and a little laughter escaped her mouth. ”I guess it doesn’t matter why, does it? What matters is right now,” and she meant it. The present was so much more important than the past, and so much easier to think about. Much easier than the future, that was far too intimidating.
Constance laughed again when he mentioned their convenient habit. ”I guess we do. I hope we can keep that habit up for a long time,” Constance was grateful for the fact that they were they for each other during their hardest times in life. She was sure life was going to get a lot crazier, what with a world where Aurors were assigned to set up meeting rooms rather than do their job and hunt down dark wizards. It was almost as if the world was reverting back to the way it had been before the famous Battle of Hogwarts. Constance and Rob would need each other, badly, if the world was going to get that way.
“However there is one thing that I want to say." Constance panicked for a moment when Rob said those words. Was it something bad? Was he going to tell her that she was taking things too far, too quickly? She watched as a grin started form on his face and she felt her heart calm down a little, an her breath slow down. The calm didn’t last for long however, when he said those four words. She barely had time to think before his lips where on hers, his warmth spreading through her. She tightened her grip ever so slightly in his hair in order to anchor his lips to hers.
She waited a moment before opening her eyes after he had pulled away. Her eyes were still closed when he said I love you for the second time. She released her hand from his hair and gently placed in on his cheek instead. ”Oh Rob, I love you. I love you so much.” She was expecting tears to prick her eyes again but what happened next surprised her, she felt herself starting to giggle. Like a teenager who had just had her first kiss and was learning about love for the first time. She brought her hand from his neck to her mouth and covered it as she giggled, embarrassed. She felt her cheeks heat up as she did so. She took another deep breath and calmed herself a little before removing her hand.
”I’m going to kiss you again, if you don’t mind,” she said, right before she leaned in towards him to plant her lips on his once more.

”You mean the moment you saw me sitting under that sorting hat?” Rob chuckled a bit at Constance’s question. That wasn’t even the first time that he had seen her. No it had been earlier that morning on the platform. He never gave up hope that one day they would be together. He always went out of his way to be respectful to her and to always be a gentleman when he was around her, or others for that matter. Well maybe not when he was dealing with Petar Kovachev, but that was a completely different matter, and situation. He would move mountains to be with her, and to make sure that Constance was treated with respect and like a queen. Maybe one day he would even have the chance to make her his queen. Ok no not maybe. He was already planning on asking her to marry him at some point in the future. Rob couldn’t explain the feelings that he had always held for Constance, since day one.
He smiled as Constance asked him a simple question one that he had an answer to already, he didn’t even have to think about it, because deep down he had already told himself no matter what he wasn’t going to lie to her not now and not ever would he do that. Granted there were some things that he couldn’t tell her, not yet anyways. Maybe he could get her to join the Order, for he knew that the Order would be needing skilled healers in their ranks. ”I guess we do. I hope we can keep that habit up for a long time,” He hoped so too.
When Constance told him that she love him. It almost felt like they were sealing some sort of pact or something of that nature. It just felt so right to be with her, sure it had taken forever for them to finally end up together but if it hadn’t then they probably would be two very different people right now. He didn’t mind one bit when Constance told him that she was going to kiss him again. And he had no objections at all to the idea of kissing her again. As she leaned in Rob just pulled her even closer as they kissed and there wasn’t even space for a penny to fit between their bodies that was how close he had pulled her. And he never wanted to let go. As he kissed her one of his hands had moved to the back of her head and was playing with that soft silky smooth hair of hers. It might be weird but he enjoyed playing with her hair.
Rob loved everything about the woman that he was holding in his arms. Form her amazing personality, the main reason as to why he had fallen for her in the first place. And then there were those beautiful captivating eyes that she had, and those also drew him in any time he looked at them. The list goes on and on, she was even a pretty decent quidditch player as well, but that was just a plus. But after school when they had each gone their separate ways Rob had often wondered if he would ever see her again. Sure Rachel would come to his place and tell him that he really needed to Constance but he kept putting it off. And now he realized that was a foolish mistake on his part. For they could have had more time together right? But no he completely agreed with her all that mattered was the present and not the past. It is kind of funny how humans always talk about the past and the future, but they never truly focus on the here and now. For if they did the world would most likely be a much better place than the state that it is in right now.
Rob finally broke the kiss not that he didn’t want to keep kissing her, but first he had something that he should probably tell her. ”So, you chose to live... for me?” Actually it was the answer to the question that she had asked him earlier. He had been silent the whole time that Constance had been talking. Rob loved the sound of her voice, especially because it helped to calm him down it always had. In school most times John and Rob would do stupid things and what not, you know the kind of stuff that two teenage pranksters, who were practically brothers in all but blood, would do. On many occasions Constance had told him to stop or to not do what he was going to do, and it was like he immediately obeyed her every word. It was weird but he knew he would never win an argument with her, and it was usually best to do what she told him to do. “Yes Constance, I chose to live for you. Because without you I am nothing more than an empty shell.” He paused and thought about what he was about to say, and hopefully it didn’t sound weird or anything, Rob just wanted her to know that she was reason why he would do everything in his power to come back to her each and every time that he was off doing whatever his job or the Order needed him to do. “I love you so much that I couldn’t bear it if anything were to happen to you. I live for you. You are the one reason why I keep going, and fighting. When I am out on missions that are extremely difficult to stay focused on all I have to do is think of you and then I remember why I am fighting and that keeps me focused. There isn’t anything that I wouldn’t do for you.” Rob was basically rambling or at least that is what it sounded like to him. He had never been good at expressing his feelings.
Everything that he had just said, well he had no idea where that had some from, but it was just so easy to talk to her. He had a feeling that they would probably be having more discussions about this sort of thing at pivotal and important moments in their relationship. He was just glad that he was able to freely and openly talk to Constance, because many times he had worried about what he would say or do once he talked to her again. Hell she had saved his life and he knew it had been her, she kept him anchored to the land of the living, and yet it took a simple chance of fate or something like that to bring them together once more. To Rob this was perfect, they were completely alone and were able to talk without being overheard by those that are in the ministry, or anywhere for that matter. Constance made him the happiest man on earth.
Rob decided to go for broke and kissed Constance again. He just couldn’t get enough of the feeling that he got whenever he kissed her. Sure he had kissed other women before but there had been no spark or feeling there at all. Now when he kissed Constance oh there was definitely a spark and there was so much that he could feel that he couldn’t explain it in words.
With the hand that had been on her back he wandlessly cast a simple conjuring spell and there appeared a boquet of Constance’s favorite flowers. She had never told him what kind they were but he had overheard Constance describing them to Rachel once long ago. They were really beautiful flowers but they paled in beauty, compared to the beauty of Constance, or at least so Rob thought. Because for him there was no one else as beautiful or perfect as she was. “These are for you.” He said while grabbing the flowers that were still floating in the air and showing her them. It was a simple gesture but he wanted to make her the happiest woman on earth, and he also wanted her to realize that she was his, and his alone for he had eyes for no one except for her. I guess you could say that when he had fallen for her he had fallen hard and there was no way that he would ever leave her. He knew that she would appreciate the flowers. Who would have thought that today of all days that had started out bad and stressful would turn out so great?

There wasn’t any easy explanation for how Constance was feeling at this moment. It wasn’t as If she could find the perfect words or famous quote to sum it all up. The emotions were a series of memories, smells, colors and temperatures. The sound of their heart beats was deafening and Constance could barely hear over the deep breathing and rustling of cloth as they pulled each other closer together. The blood was pounding in her ears as they kissed, and she relished in the feel of his playing with her hair.
The hair on his face brushed against her chin and upper lips, but she didn’t mind. It was soft and suited him so well. It reminded her, in the moment, how grown up they were from the last time they had done this. Though, that kiss wasn’t nearly as heart pumping.
She took a moment to think back to that moment, as they still kissed in the present. It was two weeks before the end of term, before they graduated, before they wouldn’t see each other in the common room every day. The thought of leaving Robs side, even for a moment, distressed Constance in those last days. She had just started to give him a chance a few short months previously, and they had barely spent any time together with just the two of them.
Constance was sneaky back then, to say the least, and made it a point to kiss Rob at least once before graduation. She could never find time alone with him, however. What with studying, Rachel and Quidditch goodbye parties. It was at one of those said parties when she finally pulled it off. The Quidditch team had gone to the three broomsticks for the last time, and sat together at a large table. Constance sat beside Rob, and they held hands under the table for most of the get together.
The team was close, closer than ever now that most of them were leaving. Constance was afraid they would notice them leaving, but she took a chance anyway. She gave Robs hand a tight squeeze before letting go. She stood up slowly and left the table, taking a glance back to see if he had got the picture. He looked at her with a quizzical brow, so she beckoned him forward with one finger. She made her way outside and turned the corner down a tiny little alley beside the pub. After a few moments Rob followed, and without a word she had grabbed the front of his shirt and kissed him.
Rob was so sweet and confused in that moment, and now he was even sweeter, and kinder than Constance ever thought she’d be lucky enough to find. She was a little shocked when he broke the current kiss in order to explain why he chose to live for her. She listened until his confession was finished and then placed a hand on his scruffy cheek, ”it’s hard for me to believe, that I could be that important to someone, but I believe you,” she said, ”I know that you would never lie to me, Rob. I only wish I could... be as trusting and as loving as you are.” She removed her hand form his cheek and the other from his neck, placing them both in her lap. ”You keep my safe. Every day when... when my darker side tries to overcome me, I think about you and all of that goes away. I know without me you’d be an empty shell, but without you...” she shuddered at the thought, ”I’d be a monster.”
When Rob kissed her a third time, she became so enveloped in it that she didn’t even notice him conjure the flowers behind her back. As he offered them to her she laughed, ”Rob, they’re beautiful. But I can’t exactly take a bouquet into my meeting.” She laughed again as she leaned toward the flowers to smell them, while wrapping her hand around his hand that was holding the flowers. ”Maybe we should go on an actual date. Then you can bring the flowers.” She spoke happily and with a light tone. Rarely did she receive flowers, considering she dated mostly jerks in her past, and the gesture just reminded her once more of the lucky situation she was in.

”it’s hard for me to believe, that I could be that important to someone, but I believe you,” Those last few words that Constance said were almost like music to his ears. “I only wish I could... be as trusting and as loving as you are.” Rob knew that this wasn’t true for people had to earn his trust. However he genuinely cared for people and there were only a few that he would ever love, first off his twin sister Rachel, and then there was John who was basically his brother in all but blood. Other people well you had to earn that trust and love. But from the moment that he had first seen Constance, deep down he loved her straight from the get go. “You keep my safe. Every day when... when my darker side tries to overcome me, I think about you and all of that goes away. I know without me you’d be an empty shell, but without you... I’d be a monster.” Well now that was interesting he would be an empty shell devoid of all emotion without her and she would be a monster. “You know what? I am glad that we have each other and since I would be nothing more than an empty shell and you would be a monster. Because that goes to show that we were meant for each other.” He had something else he wanted to say but at the same time was it worth it. ‘Of course it is, now stop being a selfish git and tell her’ A little voice in the back of his mind said. It was kind of funny, his own conscience talked him into doing so many things and most times it was right. Just like it was now. “Don’t worry I will always be there for you no matter what and I will always do everything in my power to keep you safe. Because I know you would do the same for me.”
Rob laughed along with Constance when she told him that she couldn’t take a bouquet of flowers into her meeting. “Your right. Why didn’t I think of that beforehand.” He smirked as he banished all but one of the flowers. “But you can take one.” After saying that he shortened the stem of the flower, and then he carefully placed into Constance’s hair. To him the flower just made her look all the more beautiful and also presentable. Well maybe not in the eyes of some people, who probably had their wands stuck up their butts. When Constance mentioned that they should actually go on a real date and then he could bring her flowers. “Hey, I thought I was the one who was supposed to bring up the idea that we should go on a date sometime.” He said in mock hurt and indignation, which just so happened to be with a smirk that he used when he was teasing people, especially his sister and Constance.
It was rather quite funny for he had been thinking along those same lines, once she had mentioned not being able to take the flowers to her meeting. Rob already had an idea as to where they would go on said date. Well that is if she agreed to go on a date with. Wait a second who am I kidding of course she would say yes and agree to go on a date with him, right? “Oh, most beautiful and fair Constance Kase, would you do me the honor of going out with me Friday night?” He only ever had said things like this when he asked Constance out on a date. Not because he found it humorous, but the fact that it was a fun and playful way to ask her out. While he waited he pulled Constance close to him once more and kissed her. Rob just couldn’t help it, he loved her so much and he had already decided to treat her like a queen, his queen. And one day, Rob knew that she would be his.
As for the date well he already had an idea where to take her and it wasn’t even in England. It was across the pond(Atlantic ocean). To Paris, France. While in school they had talked about where they would like to go someday, and apparently they had both said Paris, France. Rob had been to France several times for work. He wasn’t sure if she had been there yet but he hoped she would appreciate it. Visiting other places in the world was great by yourself if you we looking to travel fast. But if you really want to enjoy a place visit it with your friends or loved ones. And that was what he was going to do, he was going to go visit Paris again but this time he was going to enjoy it with Constance. He could not take his eyes off of her as he pulled out of the kiss and waited for her answer.

”You know,” she smirked, ”I think you’re right. Plus, monsters usually eat empty shells for breakfast, I think.” She joked. She felt a moment of lightheartedness was needed. She chuckled a little as she listened the rest of his comment. She was taken aback, once more, by his trust in her ability to care for him and keep him safe. But, she knew he was right. Even though it was hard to say out loud, she knew that he would always keep her safe and she him. It was just the way things worked between them. She nodded, ”I know you will, and you know I will.” She took a deep breath, as if another pact between them was made.
His laugh, along with hers, was like a harmony. They had laughed together before, and Constance missed that sound. The sweet sound of his laughter echoing off hers and vice versa. As he smirked, that sweet little smirk, and banished all but one flower, she laughed even more. She reached her hand up to slightly graze across the skin of his hand which was putting the flower in her hair. When he released the flower, she clasped his hand in hers. ”One is perfect. It’ll remind me that there is only one of you, and it’ll remind me about... today. About seeing you,” she spoke softly with an amused smile playing across her lips. Her eyes sparkled with happiness and awe as she looked into his.
When he played of his hurt and indignation with that familiar teasing smirk, Constance pursed her lips and shook her head, laughing quietly. Then she smiled, ”you’re right, you’re right. Darn, I was always too quick to wear the pants in a relationship!” She joked, but it was still true. Constance never let any guys walk all over her, at least not since she was very, very young. She made it a point to show her strength right away, but she didn’t need to do that with Rob. They were equals.
Constance blushed as he switched into fancy date speak. She smiled again, one almost too large to contain. Before she could answer, he pulled her into a kiss once more. This one was a little more like a dramatic 1940’s kiss between a detective and his dame. Constance took the opportunity to lace one hand through his hair once more, tugging a little as she did so. When he finally released her, she spoke, ”My sweet, gentle Robert Hudson, I would be honored if you would escort me this Friday night say... eight o’ clock?” She batted her eyelashes, and to top it off, she conjured a fan into her free hand and gently fanned her face. A perfect mockery of an old fashioned debutante. She hoped they would be able to spend more time together today, maybe after her meeting.
Wait, I have work after my meeting. Work. She had almost completely spaced on the idea of work. She was so wrapped up in the moment she didn't even consider her patients waiting for her back at the hospital. She felt that familiar tug in her stomach, her duty calling to her from miles away. But, wasn't finding and sustaining her love with Rob just as important as saving all of those lives? If she was unhappy, wouldn't she do worse at her job? These were the only thoughts that gave her solace. If she was happy, dedicated and in love with someone then she could be happy, dedicated and love her patients, right? Being with Rob was like practice. She mentally slapped herself for thinking that. Rob wasn't practice. Rob was the real deal. She felt that sinking but also floating feeling you feel when you know that his was the last first kiss you'd ever have. She knew that there was no way she could ever kiss, love, date or marry another man in her life. Deep down, she sort of already knew that. But what used to be buried beneath the surface was bubbling up, making it's way into the light. Her feelings for Rob had always been there, if only a tiny bit, and had only been growing since they met on the Quidditch Pitch.
What would they do on their date, she wondered? They would enjoy a Quidditch match together, of course. She almost suggested it but she knew that he wanted to take the reigns on this one. And she needed to let him.

Rob couldn’t help himself as Constance joked about monsters eating empty shells. “I wouldn’t put it past you.” He teased a little. Rob smiled and gave a nod of his head in agreement when Constance spoke about knowing that he would keep her safe and that he knew that she would keep him safe. ”One is perfect. It’ll remind me that there is only one of you, and it’ll remind me about... today. About seeing you,” Rob knew that one was perfect and he was grateful for the compliment as he looked into her eyes that sparkled with happiness. It made Rob feel great and happy because he knew that he was the reason why Constance was happy.
He smirked once more as he noticed that Constance was blushing when he asked her if she would like to go out this Friday. ”My sweet, gentle Robert Hudson, I would be honored if you would escort me this Friday night say... eight o’ clock?” He couldn’t help but smile as she accepted the invitation to go out with him and even as he watched Constance conjur a fan in her free hand. “My fair and dearest Constance, eight o’ clock I will be at your door to pick you up.” Rob said in a soft voice. “And maybe with a bouquet of flowers.” He gave her a wink as he teased her a little bit. But he would still be bringing her a bouquet of her favorite flowers. There was also something else that he would be doing for her and it was going to be a surprise.
However he was at least going to tell her where they would be going. “Oh and just for your information Constance you and I will be going to Paris, France.” He informed Constance. Once he had told her where they would be going, Rob had an idea and it was a rather simple idea and a question at the same time. “If there is anything at all that you would like to do in particular while we are there just say the word.” He was excited at the prospect of being able to take Constance on a date to some place that he figured that they both would enjoy. It didn’t really matter to him what they did as long as it was together.
He wanted to spend all day with Constance if he could but Rob knew that they both had work to do. Rob checked his watch real quick and took note that they had only been here for about an hour or so. He took a quick glance around the room/garden that they were in. But his eyes quickly returned to those of the woman who was he was still holding in his arms. Rob couldn’t believe his luck but he also knew that fate had something to do with this whole thing, it brought them back together. He was truly happy for the first time in a long time. Looking into those eyes “So we have about a little less than an hour until your meeting starts and until then I have an idea for something that I am sure you will enjoy just as much as I will.” With that said the room changed just a little. Where they were standing the path spread out so there was enough room for them to dance as music began to play. Rob took Constance’s hand and spun her away from him before he pulled her back and held her close as he began to dance with her. “Would you care to dance?” Rob asked with a cheeky smile since they were already dancing. And he figured that it would be a good thing to ask her.

Constance laughed as Rob winked at her and continued to talk in that silly, old fashioned way. She raised an eyebrow at him and folded her arms across her chest, "you will be picking me up with a horse and carriage I imagine? Should I bring my parasol?" she joked. She was the last person on earth to own a parasol. She was pretty sure John Cain would buy one before she did, and that was never going to happen. Constance loved dressing up, sure, but she would much rather enjoy comfortable cute sporty clothes or scrubs. Clothes that she could play a game of Quidditch in, if the occasion called for it. She also wasn't usually much for flowers, maybe because she had never really been with a guy who bothered to get her any. But, coming from Rob, the idea of a bouquet seemed fantastical and great. She looked forward to it.
Constance raised an eyebrow at him, chuckling, "Paris? I mean, I'd love Paris but that does seem a little random..." she laughed at rolled her eyes, shaking off the thought of mocking him for choosing such a cheesy romantic spot. "Well, anything in Paris is fine with me, as long as you're there. But..." she smirked, facing down only to look up at him through her eyelashes, "I hear their Quidditch team is really, really good... maybe we could visit a game?" She batted her eyelashes at him. This was her way of begging, by being as flirty as possible. It usually got her what she wanted, though she hadn't had practice in years and was probably a little rusty.
When Rob reported how much time they had left and the room started to change, Constance barely noticed that they had begun swaying to music. She was too wrapped up in the idea of how closely he was holding her. After he asked her to dance, officially, with that bright smile playing at his lips, she bit her own lip trying to hide her smile. "You know, love, generally you ask a girl to dance before the actual dancing part." She was just messing with him of course, he never had to ask permission. Not from here on out. She glanced around the room at the slight change of scenery. She finally started to pay attention to the melody, though she wasn't sure where the music was coming from. When she finally recognized it, she gasped, "Rob, that song. Isn't that..." she tried to rack her memory. They had definitely heard this tune before.
"We heard this... that weekend before graduation. When we snuck into the room of requirement..." she muttered, her cheeks turning red. Sure, they had kissed that one time outside the pub, when Constance practically attacked him. But this time he had been the one to start it. He snuck her into the room of requirement and danced with her to this same song.
Constances eyes started to feel fuzzy as she pulled herself back into the present, "you just can't stop charming me, can you Rob Hudson?" She said.

"you will be picking me up with a horse and carriage I imagine? Should I bring my parasol?" Rob could tell that Constance was joking about the whole horse and carriage thing as she raised her eyebrow at him and folded her arms across her chest. A parasol, right like she owned one. Rob knew for a fact that she would never buy one of those and he also knew her well enough, that she wouldn’t like a horse and a carriage. “Right like you own a parasol. Wait, do you?” He asked in a teasing tone. When Constance began with a question about Paris and it being a random place. “Well you know me and how random of a person that I like to be.” Rob said in that same teasing tone, and added a wink.
Oh well now he was done for. Constance was doing her whole begging routine and it generally, okay scratch that, she always managed to get her way. “Well I don’t know about seeing a Quidditch match.” Rob said with a serious face. Damn how did she know that was one of the things that he had been planning on doing for their date. Letting a smile form on his face “You are just too good to resist. Of course we can go see a game while we are there. It was one of the things that I had been planning on doing with you.” He answered her question.
"You know, love, generally you ask a girl to dance before the actual dancing part." Rob couldn’t help but laugh at that. He could tell that she was messing with him. “Might I ask, since when have I ever followed the rules in anything?” He asked with a smirk on his face. The rhetorical question was one with an easy answer but it was very true, he never was one to follow the rules in anything well almost anything, especially when he was in school. Rob always loved having a good time and breaking the rules. Hell he was currently breaking the law for being part of the Order of Phoenix. When Constance mentioned the song Rob paid a little more attention to it. It was definitely the same song that they had listened and danced to before in the room of requirement. Rob had even kissed her during that time.
He noticed that her cheeks had turned red but that didn’t matter as he went ahead and kissed her again. Yup I probably said this before but man was he addicted to Constance for he was in love with her. "you just can't stop charming me, can you Rob Hudson?" That was definitely his goal was to keep charming her and treating her like a queen for the rest of their lives. “Nope I can't and I will never cease to do my best at trying to charm you and treating you with the respect and the love that you deserve.” Rob promised Constance as he looked into her eyes before spinning away from him once again and then he pulled her back and really close to him. He enjoyed having Constance close to him and he also enjoyed her company.

Constance laughed again as he teased her, he knew her too well. ”What, you can’t see me with a parasol? In a pretty white fluffy dress with blue ribbon?” she tried to keep a straight face but she chuckled. There was no way she would ever dress like that. Her idea of cute was a ponytail with rough clothes on for an impromptu Quidditch match. Luckily, Rob didn’t seem to mind when she dressed like that. When he winked at her, and admitted to being random, she just smiled. She would never be bored with him, that much was sure.
Constance pouted when he said, in a serious tone, that they couldn’t see a much. She let her lip quiver just a littler before she saw the smile playing at his lips. She lifted a hand and smacked him lightly on the chest, ”you little tease! You were really going to take me?” She shouldn’t have been surprised; Quidditch is one thing that brought them together during school. Maybe he’d even let them play a little Quidditch as well, but that could wait for another date. She had a feeling they’d have many dates to come.
”Good point, you were a real big rule breaker, that’s for sure,” she rolled her eyes and chuckled. The truth was, sure he was a bit of a rule breaker but as far as she knew he hadn’t done anything against the law or nearly as bad as she had. But still, he was a troublemaker in his day. She saw plenty of it when she was dating Petar Kovachev. She shook her head and chuckled again at the memories.
When he kissed her this time it was a little different. More like desperation in the moment, an insane need. She didn’t realize she had that need until he kissed her, then she realized how deprived she had been those last few minutes of just talking. Talking was good too, however. Rob did have a flair for the dramatic, but so did Constance. As he spun her away before she could respond to his heart warming comment, she had a moment to decide how to react. When he pulled her close again she looked into his eyes, intensely, ”and I’ll do my best to do the same, Rob.”

”What, you can’t see me with a parasol? In a pretty white fluffy dress with blue ribbon?” Rob chuckled when she asked him those questions. “Nope I can’t, they really aren’t your style.” It was true he had never once seen her dress that way. Rob never cared how she dressed it was something that he never had really paid attention to before since to him she always looked beautiful. ”you little tease! You were really going to take me?” Oh so now he was being a tease, right well the way she kept pouting led him to believe that she was the tease and not the other way around.
”Good point, you were a real big rule breaker, that’s for sure,” Of course he was a rule breaker and well it had now escalated into breaking the law. He knew that Constance had no idea that he was breaking the law, but this time it was necessary, even if he did lose his job over it. Now that he thought about it he might as well do what Harry had asked him to do the next time that he saw Constance. “Well you see…” Rob began scratching the back of his head. “I am in fact still breaking the rules or should I say the law.” Damn Harry had ask him to do this why couldn’t he have asked someone else to do this. No he had thought about not asking her to join but that would probably just piss her off. After he had thought about it many times he had found the reason as to why he had to be the one to ask her. “Constance what I am about to ask you to do will be considered breaking the law and even seen as treason by our current minister and his cronies. Do you remember hearing about a secret group called the Order of the Phoenix. Well It has been started up once more in light of recent events, and I just so happen to be a part of it. I was asked by Harry to see if you would like to join.” Rob paused as he looked Constance in the eyes. He had no doubt that she would join in the fight and well they could use many good and experienced healers that they could get. “Constance will you join the Order of the Phoenix and help fight against dark wizards and those that seek to harm and disrupt our world once more?” He asked her with an expectant and hopeful look on his face.
It was really easy to ask the question and he wasn’t even as long winded in asking the question as Harry had been. “If so you will need to stop by Harry’s office before you leave the Ministry after your meeting. And if anyone asks you where you are going just tell them that you were asked to stop by the Auror department real quick to check on someone who isn’t feeling well or something like that.” Almost everyone he knew was part of the Order now and well he could think of no better a place for them all to be so that they could do their part in putting a stop to these dark forces that had been the cause of many deaths in these past few months. What he was asking her was simple or at least it was to him, break the law.
They were still dancing slowly swaying to the music as he had been talking and he just looked into her eyes. And knew that once she said she would join then a blue light would appear around her signifying her acceptance into the Order. But now it was just a matter if she said yes or no.

”I guess you’re right,” she chuckled, trying to picture it. She wasn’t really one for dressing up, at least not in a frilly way. When she dressed up, the rare few times it happened, she preferred black slims dresses without sleeves. She preferred the more sophisticated, classy but sexy look to the pretty girl style. Rob would have to get used to her dressing up like that, but she didn’t think he’d have a problem with it. Though, knowing him, he probably didn’t even pay any attention to her outfits. She hoped he would at least appreciate when she tried though.
Constance cocked her head to the side as he started to explain how he was breaking the law. At first she wasn’t pleased with the idea, him being an auror and all, but the more she listened the more her blood started to pump with excitement. Of course she’d heard about the order, after the wizarding battle of ’98 it wasn’t really a big secret anymore that a secret order existed to fight evil wizards. The fact that it was coming back was the best news she had hear for weeks. Especially after the child murdered on the train. She nodded vigorously as he made the offer, ”Of course! I’m your girl. You’ll definitely need a specialist who can handle spell damage without having to go to saint mungos. Count me in. I’m in. Definitely.” she blushed, considering she has just repeated herself a lot.
Suddenly a blue light shown around her and Constance gasped, clutching onto Rob tightly, ”that was... “ she smiled and glanced up into his eyes once more, ”I’ll stop by his office. No problem. I love you,” she stopped swaying to the music and leaned in, wrapping both of her arms around his torso and pulling him into a tight hug.

”Of course! I’m your girl. You’ll definitely need a specialist who can handle spell damage without having to go to saint mungos. Count me in. I’m in. Definitely.” Rob chuckled as Constance nodded her head vigorously and also blushed at the offer he had made of joining the Order of the Phoenix. He was glad that she had accepted. “I am glad that you decided to accept the offer, and yes you are right we will need someone with your skills. “ He said in agreement that they would indeed need someone with expertise in healing spell damage. As far as he knew there were also several other healers from St. Mungos that were also in the Order, including his sister.
When Constance had stopped swaying to the music and had pulled him into a tight hug, Rob wasn’t surprised at all. He reciprocated the movement and hugged Constance and just held her there in his arms. “I love you too.” Rob responded but there was something that he wanted to her and he hoped that she would always remember it. For in these dark times there were a lot of uncertainties, namely if they would both survive. Rob was sure that they would and that they would live long and happy lives together.
“Constance, there is something that I want you to remember always.” He paused as he pulled back just enough out of their embrace. Rob reached up with one of his hands while the other still held Constance close to him, and tilted her head up so that he could look into her eyes. “Just remember that no matter what happens we will always have each other, and that I will never ever leave you.” It was something that he wanted to make sure that she never forgot and he also knew that it was true that no matter what that they would have each other to rely on and to comfort one another and just basically be there for each other in all things.

As Rob chuckled at her, she blushed even more. She knew he wasn’t making fun, but she was still a little embarrassed by her excitedness at the thought. ”Well, thank you for offering. For asking,” she looked down, trying to will her cheeks to stop burning and return to a normal color. Once she was sure she had succeeded she looked back up his face. He almost had a look of pride in his eyes and that just made her blush again.
As they hugged, Constance thought about how much she didn’t want to let go. But at least they would be doing a lot more hugging from now on, and spending a lot more time together, hopefully. At least they had the Order as well as a place to act as a team. The thought made butterflies flutter in her stomach. They would be helping the world together. She hoped Rachel would join them. She didn’t ask because she was sure that Rachel would be involved.
As Rob started to speak again she pulled back just slightly as well, taking his lead. As he gently tilted her head up to face him she lifted a hand to wrap around the one near her face. When he spoke those words, she felt the butterflies in her stomach calm. Almost as if they were peaceful, which was a feeling she didn’t feel often. She nodded slowly and blinked a few times before responding. ”I’ll remember. I won’t leave you either Rob, we’re in this together.”

”Well, thank you for offering. For asking,” Rob heard as he watched Constance’s face turn red as she blushed. He smiled “You are most welcome.” Rob said in a proud tone. He was proud of Constance and he was sure that it showed in his eyes since when she looked at him she had blushed once more. Things were looking up for once in these dark and troubled times. This is what he would fight for, she was what he would fight for and he would make sure that he came back every time just for her if nothing else.
Rob knew that while being in the Order they would have separate assignments, he would be out in the field and Constance would be there to help any and all people that came to her to get healed of injuries. There were several healers in the Order that he knew of and they included most of the department heads at St. Mungos, Constance, Rachel, and Hope. Things couldn’t be any better on the front of having healers in the Order. For they knew their trade rather well, and they also knew what to watch and listen for. Because in a Hospital you could learn many things. Rob would know since he had been stuck in one for a couple of weeks the last time he was there, but that was a year and a half ago.
”I’ll remember. I won’t leave you either Rob, we’re in this together.” He had never heard a truer statement that made him feel calm and which brought a smile to his lips. “Of course we are love.” Rob said in an agreeing tone. He still couldn’t believe his luck as he looked at Constance. He was in love and he knew that no matter what they would always be together, through thick and thin, and they would also have their fair share of happy moments. And right now with how happy he was Rob felt like and knew that if he cast a patronus it would never falter nor waiver and he wouldn’t have to worry about it being too much.
