It was a rather cloudy day and it looked like it might rain. But Diagon Alley was packed full of people doing their day to day shopping. However in front of Ollivander’s wand shop there was a table set up with two chairs. One of the chairs was occupied by Dorian. Most people didn’t even acknowledge the fact that he was there, except for a few little kids. He had been sent here as a bounty hunter, well no that’s a lie, he was here on a mission for the International Aurors. As he sat there watching the people go by looking for a certain individual, who had connections to a certain group of people that were trying to cause havoc, in nearby Iceland. This man was the key to taking down that group and so he was here to capture, and take to the safe house where he would be interrogated by Walton, who was the best in the business of interrogation. Dorian scanned the crowd quickly, but a little girl came over to him and gave him a quick hug. It was odd but he returned the hug. He needed that hug and it made him feel better, for he had been remembering the night his life changed forever. Dorian smiled at the girl as she ran back to her mother.
He waved his wand conjuring a bottle of water. He opened the bottle of water but before he had even taken a drink he spotted his query. Dorian stood up as he set his bottle of water down. It was time to act, he had to make it quick, but he would be sure to come back and finish his drink here in front of Ollivander’s. The target was in the middle of a crowd. With his keen eyesight, he took a small running start and jumped of the heads of the people, whom he quickly erased any memory of them seeing what he was doing and going about their business, and he landed right on top of his target who tried to get away but Dorian apparated them directly to the safe house.
After a few minutes he returned to his table in front of Ollivander’s and sat down, while taking a drink of his bottled water. He now had the day off or at least he hoped so. Man he loved diving head on into risky situations. Dorian didn’t care about his life, he wanted to protect others, and if he had to die so be it. Because people and especially children should be allowed to live, and grow. But there were those that insisted upon taking control and there were those that wanted to purge the world of dirty blood, i.e. half-bloods and muggleborns. And that was the reason why he did what he did to stop those who would harm others, and cause destruction.
Dorian took another sip of water letting the cool liquid wash down his throat. He turned his head slightly at the sound of someone coming towards him. Dorian had heard them before he even saw them. Ah one of the many perks of being a vampire/werewolf hybrid. And it paid off immensely in his line of work.

Odette had found herself in Diagon Alley on rather unfortunate business. Her wand had sadly suffered some damages during her last trip to Egypt, which she had just returned from, and she had to visit Ollivander's to get it repaired. She picked up one wand that looked very different from her own. It was a bit crooked, and as she flicked it drawer came flying out of the shopkeeper's file cabinet. Odette quickly set the wand down and picked up another. She wasn't looking to replace her wand by any means, but she figured it wouldn't hurt to occupy her time trying out a few new ones. So she took a look at the new wand in her hand, turning it around a bit. It was flimsy, very unlike her own. She gave it a flick and a vase of flowers by the window fell to the floor and shattered. Odette grimaced at the mess she made, sighing as she looked out the front window.
There was a man sitting at a table outside. Odette tilted her head to the side. The young woman was always immediately interested in a person if she found them initially attractive, and this man was. She continued to watch him a moment more, as a little girl came up to him and hugged him. Something told Odette the man didn't know the girl, but she couldn't help but let a smile play at her lips. She turned around just in time to see the shopkeeper return with her wand. Odette thanked him graciously, and went back to the window. She flicked her wand at the shattered glass and it immediately came back together, the flowers returning to the vase. She then pointed her wand in the vase and water shot gently out of the tip of her wand. It was good as new.
Then something outside caught her eye again. It was the man. He was moving quickly through the crowd of people. Odette watched him, her eyes narrowed, as the man appeared to jump on top of something, or someone. Odette really couldn't tell. But as the crowd died down a bit, she could see that the man was gone. Odette shrugged, another good catch lost.
The brunette turned back around to face the shopkeeper and flashed him a small smile, thanking him once more. She then turned on her heel to see that the man had returned to his seat at the table. Odette raised an eyebrow. It was odd, but at the same time, it wasn't her business. If there was anything working with goblins had taught Odette, it was to mind your own business. But then again... striking up a little conversation wouldn't hurt, right? So Odette headed out the door, smirking as she did so. She walked up to the man, pausing a moment to look at the back of his head. She tilted her head to the side once more, as if in deep thought. She was pondering how to approach the man. Odette turned her head back up straight as her smirk widened and she walked around the man in the chair to sit opposite him, in the empty chair. "Busy day, eh?" She said, looking around at all of the people. It was cloudy, and odd that such a crowd was in the alley when it was looking like it may storm. She turned back to the man, awaiting his answer and looking unexpectant.

Dorian watched as whoever it was that had stopped, come around to sit across from him at the table. He could immediately tell who she was, but at the same time she kind of cute. He could smell the werewolf blood in her, and yet she wasn’t a werewolf. Being able to smell the blood of the people around him helped him find out if they had any blood from any type of magical creature in them, but the ones he could easily tell were the people who had either werewolf blood or vampire blood in them. Then that must mean only one thing that she is the daughter of a werewolf. She was the daughter of Fenir Greyback if you wanted to be precise. "Busy day, eh?" Dorian couldn’t help but chuckle a little bit as he thought about his day. It had been rather boring work having to sit here since six in the morning waiting for the man he had just captured to show his ugly face here in Diagon Alley.
“Well it was busy for a bit.” Dorian paused to take a drink of his water, before he continued while looking at the new arrival. “So tell me Miss Greyback what brings you to Diagon Alley today?” He asked and he thought about telling her his name but he decided against doing that for now. If she wanted to know his name, well she would just have to ask. Dorian watched the people pass by he had another person he was supposed to keep an eye out for just to check to see what time they came here every day. Really these criminals frequented the same places way too often, but he found it rather amusing that they were so dumb and careless. However, Dorian was not interested in getting to know more about Miss Greyback, and what she did. He knew that she was a student of Walton’s at one point in time. How ever she was a mystery to him, well all he had to do was look at the information that they had on her but he never liked to do that unless it was necessary.

If there was anything that Odette noticed about the man, it was that he was quite rugged. But it wasn't a "dirty" kind of rugged. It was more kept and it suited him, for he was quite handsome. There was also something in his facial features that was quite... mysterious to Odette, and it intrigued her. She let her head tilt slightly to the side as she sat there in silence studying him until he spoke. An amused expression on her face.
Had he just muttered her name? The amused look had all but disappeared and she now sat, staring at the man, with a strictly serious look. Odette crossed her arms in front of her chest. "How do you know my name?" She said, though it was more accusitory than a question. While Odette had always wanted people to know of her so it would make Fenrir's finding her easier, there was something about this man knowing her name that caught her off guard and put a heavy wall up around her. Any positive thought she had had about the man before had gone out the window, for now Odette was very suspicious of him.

"How do you know my name?" Dorian wasn’t surprised of the woman asking him that in an accusing tone. He chuckled, because that meant even though she was unfortunate to be the daughter of Fenir Greyback, she wasn’t a werewolf. Looking her over once he said. “Ah a simple question with a simple answer. Fenir Greyback’s blood runs through your veins, and I can smell it.” Dorian paused and thought ok that is a little creepy, ‘I can smell it’ ha. Yup that is definitely creepy. “The reason why I can smell the blood that runs through your veins is because I am a vampire/werewolf hybrid.” He never told anyone about it but that is what he is, a hybrid a rare combination since werewolves and vampires usually killed each other, and the others victims as well. But not him. He had long since dealt with the memories of that fateful night when his family was attacked by both werewolves and vampires. So they never really bothered him except for the occasional nightmare or two, but that was it.
It was kind of funny how she had reacted. And it wasn’t like most for most people just ran off once he said their names without having talked to them before. He couldn’t help himself, and most times it wasn’t even because he could tell who they were by their blood. But because as an International Auror one must know those around them and that was why they had any and all information on people. It was a fun job. Dorian could tell that the woman’s demeanor had changed quite quickly as he said her name, but now he wanted to get back to learning more about her. “So like I asked before, what brings you to Diagon Alley today? And if I may ask what is your first name?” Dorian gave a small smile so as to encourage the woman to tell him. He really wanted to know, granted he had seen her going into Ollivander’s earlier but he hadn’t paid any attention because it was of little consequence at the time, but here she was sitting across from him. Dorian always enjoyed getting to know new people. You could say it was a favorite pass time of his.

At the man's chuckling, Odette simply narrowed her eyes at him more. Odette wasn't liking this man so far. He was very suspicious to her, and she got a weird feeling about him. When he finally explained himself, Odette raised her eyebrows and let out a skeptical huff. "You can smell it?" She put on an amused look. Then he explained himself further to be a werewolf and vampire hybrid. The skepticism had all but left her face but instead Odette now just looked at him. Her arms crossed in front of her defensively and her eyebrows raised expectantly, as if she was expecting some more elaborate answer. But she didn't say anything.
Odette had learned in her field of work to be cautious of others. Working with goblins tended to make you suspicious of other people anyway. It was definitely odd that this man called her by her name right off the bat, and Odette didn't like it. Even though he then asked her a harmless question, Odette did not lower her defensive stance. "Errands," she replied, lookin him up and down once. "And if I may ask what is your first name?” So he could tell her last name but not her first? This made her feel slightly more at ease but she didn't let it show. "Odette," she stated. "And you?" She returned the question to the man.

Was she seriously giving him that look, of oh I want a more elaborate explanation. Well two could play that game as he watched the women in front of him. This was going to be fun, and possibly challenging. “Of course I can smell it and I think I already told you why.” He said in a serious tone, but his eyes said something quite different. But what did they say you might ask well, it really is simple. They said that he was just playing around, and treating it like a game. The only reason why he was treating it like a game because he could tell just by her demeanor that she was nothing at all like her father. Who was a ruthless, and cold hearted bastard who loved killing people just for the fun of it.
“Your cautious, that is a very good thing to be, especially with everything that has been going on. And I assume that your line of work is difficult and dangerous. Tell me if I am wrong but do you happen to work with goblins as a curse breaker?” He could already tell just by how Odette was acting that this was probably the most likely thing for her to work in. And plus only curse breakers frequented wand shops to get their wands fixed. “It is nice to meet you Odette. As for me is my name really that important?” Dorian asked in a teasing manner. “But if you must know…” He said sarcastically in hopes of breaking whatever tension was between them. “The name is Steele, Dorian Steele.” Dorian said in his best Sean Connery voice. He couldn’t help himself from introducing himself that way to people, most found it annoying but then yet again most people had never watched the muggle movie series James Bond. Even though he was a wizard he had seen many muggle movies and plus as a member of the IA it was important that one had to know about muggles and understand their ways of life. It was quite fun learning about muggles. He even had several friends who are muggles. But right now none of that mattered because he was still watching Odette to see how she would react and hopefully she would lighten up a bit.

Odette was not amused by the man's tone, but she could tell he was joking around. His initial response to her sitting with him had indeed set her on edge a bit, and it was going to take a bit more than just a bit of light hearted joking around to lighten her up. Ever since her mother had died, Odette had been more of a hard shell to crack. She was guarded. And when people she had never met just randomly knew her name, she was a little taken off guard. Odette wanted word of another "Greyback" to get out there. That was why she had changed her last name, to make it easier for Greyback to find her. So when people just randomly knew her name, the first thing she always silently assumed was "what if this person is connected to Greyback?" And if this man was a vampire and werewolf hybrid, who was to say that he wasn't? Odette kept her thoughts to herself, however. She wasn't about to say any of this aloud.
"Your cautious," the man noted. Odette shrugged one of her shoulders slightly, her lips pursed and her facial expressions unmoving. "It's a good thing to be all the time if you ask me" she stated. Her head tilted to the side when he made a guess of her career. She blinked at him, but remained composed. "That is correct," was all she replied with.
Odette studied the man. So he had decided to tell her his name? That would make things easier if anything were to go... astray. Finally, Odette relaxed a little bit, her arms unfolding from across her chest as she set her hands in her lap. "What is it you do, Mr. Dorian Steele?" She asked the man, making no effort to mask the suspicious tone in her voice as she raised an eyebrow at him.

"It's a good thing to be all the time if you ask me" Dorian nodded his head in agreement. It really was important to always be ready and cautious always, not matter if you are in a supposed safe location. You never know what the exact dangers are that you will find in any given place. "What is it you do, Mr. Dorian Steele?" He chuckled at the question, it was the same kind of question that Walton had told him about when his friend had come to headquarters, the same night that he had a drink with Odette in the Hog’s Head. “Well Odette, what I do isn’t really something that most people would call a respectable job. I am a Bounty Hunter.” Dorian said after he took note of the suspicious tone that the Odette tried to unsuccessfully hide it. He couldn’t tell her exactly what he did, it was way too easy to hide the fact of what he or any of his friends and co-workers did. Because it was very unusual for any witch or wizard to have more than one job. But well then yet again Dorian’s friends and he were not your usual witch or wizard for they were all International Aurors.
“Tell me Odette, what made you decide to become a curse breaker?” Dorian asked trying a new angle as he continued to try his hand at cracking this woman open for she was apparently playing hard to get or something of that nature. By now Walton would have cracked this woman and figured her out. And that was why Dorian was a commando for the International Aurors, he just didn’t have a knack for asking questions like his friend did. It never bugged him one bit but at the same time it did.

"I am a Bounty Hunter.” This answer caught Odette by surprise, but then as she replayed the situation of him running through the crowd and jumping onto someone. Most likely a wanted someone that he had been assigned to take down. That would probably explain how he knew of Fenrir, as well. What bounty hunter didn't know of the infamous and murderous werewolf that just happened to be her biological father? Perhaps the man had even been assigned to hunt down the werewolf himself...
Then a thought crossed Odette's manipulative little mind.
A bounty hunter could be useful to Odette. They were, after all, professional hunters. Their livelihood depended on hunting down dangerous criminals for money. What if Odette could somehow convince this man to help her? She had trouble believing that a bounty hunter would say "no" to hunting down Fenrir Greyback. But this was a subject for later. Now, Odette realized she had to change her attitude toward the man if she wanted his help in any sort of way down the line.
As Dorian asked her the question about her profession, Odette let a small smile appear on her lips. "Well, Mr. Steele, I just love spending all my time around goblins, of course," she said in a light, joking tone. She then waved her hand, as if dismissing the joke she had just made. "Actually, in all honesty - I had always had a knack for curses in school. I figured I may as well make that skill useful," she shrugged, setting her hands gently into her lap. If he didn't think the immediate change of her mood was suspicious, Odette would have suspected the mind to be a fool. He seemed smart enough, though, so Odette was readying herself for a set of incriminating questions.

He immediately noticed the change in Odette’s attitude towards him after he told her what he did for a living. It seemed odd that she was now joking around and was willingly giving up information or rather practically giving it away freely. “Being good at curses and that sort of thing is always good.” He said as he looked at Odette with a passive face so as to not show any expressions. Dorian noted that she had put her hands into her lap. ‘Now she is a piece of work.’ Dorian thought as there were many things running through his mind as to why there was a sudden change in the attitude of his new friend or should he say acquaintance.
Folding his arms across his chest as he annalized the woman before him. “So why the sudden change in attitude Odette?” He raised an eyebrow as he asked the question. There wasn’t a way around this at all and he knew that he would have to ask straight forward questions. Dorian had already figured out a possible reason as to why there was a sudden attitude change. “This would have anything to do with your father now would it?” He was quite sure that he had the right idea as to why Odette was acting this way.
Despite having a challenge on his hands with whole thing going on with Odette, Dorian was actually enjoying himself. It was kind of odd and different but he accepted the challenge. Most people never offered much of a challenge for Dorian but this time was different. He scanned the area again looking for anyone or anything that either had a bounty on their heads or were on the list that the IA had of wanted people. He turned his attention back to Odette and gave her a look of pure patience and also one of knowing that there was something that she wanted from him and it was most likely help.

Odette nodded at the man, almost eagerly. A part of her really wanted him to just get on with it and ask why she was acting so saintly all of a sudden. Then again, she didn't want to seem too eager. That wasn't Odette's personality at all. She let her head fall to the side as she put on a blank but kind looking face, watching Dorian Steele and awaiting a reaction from him.
"So why the sudden change in attitude, Odette?" Odette wasn't sure why, but she sort of liked how he addressed her by his name. Odette was so used to working with men who talked down to her, namely goblins. It was refreshing to have a kind gentleman speak to her respectively for once. She noticed he had crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at her. So he had definitely noticed. And then the home run question. So he was a smart man.
Odette smirked at Dorian. "You are quite the observant man, Mr. Steele," she said, raising an eyebrow of her own at him, impressed. "It is, in fact," she admitted. Odette saw no point in beating around the bush. "I just figured, with you being a bounty hunter and all, you would have some idea of the animal's whereabouts?" Her statement ended up being more of a question, but she was just as curious nonetheless. She looked at him, her eyesbrows raised. She made sure to to not look too eager.

Dorian noticed how eager Odette seemed to be, about information on Fenrir or as she called him an animal. Well that was true in every sense of the word. Fenrir was a brutal and disgusting excuse for a man/werewolf. "You are quite the observant man, Mr. Steele," Of course he was, if he wasn’t well he wouldn’t be here right now would he? “In my line of work it pays off to be observant, as I am sure that it does in your job as well.” He said as he watched Odette, who just raised an eyebrow at him. "I just figured, with you being a bounty hunter and all, you would have some idea of the animal's whereabouts?" Well now that was like a question/statement that almost sounded like she was begging for information about the animal.
“Well I don’t know his current location right now but I do the general area that he s currently in.” Dorian informed Odette. It was true he had been tasked with knowing where the animal was hiding. He was sure that he had found the place but he decided to have some of the younger IA members watch the place for now to see who and what was going in and out of it. But before he would even tell Odette where said animal, Fenrir Greyback was currently hiding. “Why do you want to know where he is at? Besides the fact that he is your “father”, if I am quite sure you want to find him and kill that pathetic excuse for a human being/werewolf.” Dorian paused for a moment. “Before I give you any information I must know why you really want to find him. Any and every detail that you can tell me that is fueling your hatred towards him.” Dorian said if she wanted help well she was going to have to let him know why he should do so in the first place. He had already been told by Walton that this might happen, that Odette would ask him for help if they ever ran into each other.

Odette just shrugged in response to her line of work. Sure, she had to be observant, and she agreed with Mr. Steele, but she wasn't really focused on work at the moment. When Dorian said that he knew the general area that Fenrir happened to be with, Odette let her eyes widen with malicious intent. She couldn't help it, really. She wanted to see the man dead.
“Why do you want to know where he is at?"
Wasn't it obvious? Odette narrowed her eyes as her brow furrowed at Dorian in a bit of slight frustration. "He is not my father in any sense of the word." She hissed at him. Odette could tell he said "father" with technical terms around it, but Odette refused to believe that the man had even fathered her. Her eyes narrowed further at him as the real reason for wanting Fenrir Greyback dead was about to be surface. "He killed my mother," she said, just as coldly. Odette used to be much more sensitive to the subject of her mother, but by now, she had spoken of the incident so much that she was used to it. She had come to terms with the fact that her mother was gone.

"He is not my father in any sense of the word…He killed my mother," Dorian noticed the hatred and malicious intent in Odette’s eyes as she spoke with a rather cold tone and it was even a hiss. He could tell that deep down somewhere Odette missed her still missed her mother. That was something that he could relate to quite well since he had lost his whole family to werewolves and vampires on the same night. Hell the vampires had left him for dead after biting him on top of the multiple bit wounds that he had gotten from the werewolves. But he survived and he was a hybrid. “I am sorry for saying that the animal is your father.” Dorian paused to assess the current state of Odette who was still glaring at him.
“I understand why you want to kill the bastard, hell if you stop glaring at me I might just help you, and no I won’t let you do this on your own.” Dorian said in a flat and level tone without showing any emotions on his face. Memories of that night his life changed forever flashed before his eyes. He could see quite clearly the werewolves killing his whole family in front of him, and they even came after him but before the damn animals could cause any more damage than a few bites a bunch of vampires came in and attacked and killed the werewolves. Whichever vampire was the leader for he couldn’t remember the name of said creature came over and bit him. After that everything went black and he thought he had died but no, he had not died. All because he could feel the pain of the battle of the two viruses or whatever it is that turns people into werewolves and vampires, that waged within his blood. Eventually the pain went away after what must have been hours and then a man who also happened to be a hybrid like himself, came and took him away for a time and taught him many things about being a hybrid. Dorian could never thank that man enough for what he had done, as well as Walton and his family, which became his family was well. “Before you protest about me coming with you, those are my terms. I come with you and in turn I can give you information.” Dorian stated as he watched Odette who was still glaring at him.
